New Age Of Summoners

The moment Captain Berk was unable to see Ajax in the cave, he used his senses to check on him.

However, he was unable to sense Ajax even with his senses.

’Where did he go?’

Captain Berk could not help but frown as he wondered about Ajax.

Even though Captain Berk knew that Ajax was inside the cave; however, he was not expecting Ajax to disappear the moment he entered the cave.

’Captain Berk, what shall we do now?’

One of the squad members also looked for Ajax; however, except for the darkness inside the cave, he was unable to see Ajax. So, he asked his squad captain what to do next.

”Looks like we need to use one of our own to reveal the traps.”

After saying those words, Captain Bek pushed the squad member who asked him about ’what to do next’ into the cave.

”Captain Berk.”

The squad member was not expecting that his squad captain would push him. So, before he could notice, he was already inside the cave.

’Check for the traps.’

Without bothering the squad member’s shouts, Captain Berk transmitted his voice to that squad member to check for the traps.

’...’

Seeing that, all the squad members of the Quickthunder mercenary squad were speechless at their captain and at the same time, they were a little anxious inside their hearts because they didn’t know who would be the next one to enter the cave.

…..

Inside the cave,

’Ajax, here.’

After Ajax entered the tunnel on his left side, he travelled less than 100 meters before he heard the familiar voice.

’Captain Edmond.’

Ajax was excited as he hurriedly rushed towards Captain Edmond and Udo.

’Now, tell me how did you end up with the Quickthunder mercenary squad?’

The first thing Edmond asked Ajax was about how he mixed up with that mercenary squad.

’I was training in the middle section of the cursed wilderness when I heard that Quickthunder mercenary squad talk about you and uncle Udo. So, I disguised myself as some random mercenary and joined them; however, they used me to test the traps inside the cave.’

Soon, Ajax explained everything except for the part where he came from the five elemental world.

’Don’t’ worry. You are now safe.’

After hearing Ajax’s words, Edmond nodded his head.

At the side, even Udo nodded his head at Ajax’s words because he believed them.

Even though Udo used to doubt Ajax for a demonic cultivator, after receiving Ajax’s valuable gift, Udo stopped doubting because according to the guild master and others, Ajax had a powerful master who teaches him through the dreams.

’Captain Edmond, what did you do that even the royal family wants your head?’

After that, Ajax asked about Edmond and Udo’s situation.

Even though he travelled with the Quickthunder mercenary squad, Ajax was unable to find out what Edmond and Udo had done.

’Sigh..’

With a long sigh, Captain Edmond started explaining everything that happened from how the Hammergust family tried to kill them using the abyss devils to how he took revenge so that the other great families would think twice before planning to harm him.

...

In the Covenheart family,

”Brother Gebar, you have to help me in taking revenge against that low-life Edmond.”

Family head Holor asked a middle-aged man sitting on the high seat.

The middle-aged man was none other than the family head of the Covenheart family Gebar Covenheart.

Other than Gebar and Holor, there was another middle-aged man standing beside Gebar who was watching Holor with a face full of disgust.

If Ajax was here, he would have recognized that man standing beside family head Holor.

He was none other than Ryan Covenheart who Ajax had once met in the cursed wilderness.

Instead of saying met him, it could be said that Ajax had saved his life along with the life of his niece.

”Sorry, brother Holor. Right now, our family has its own internal issues to settle. So, I am very sorry for not being helpful to you.”

After hearing Holor’s words, Gebar was not worried much as he already knew about it. So, with an apologetic look on his face, Gebar politely declined Holor Hammergust’s request.

’...’

Holor clenched his fists when he heard the reply from Gebar; however, he knew that he was currently not in a position to force them to help him.

Moreover, he didn’t have much to use to tempt the great families into helping him.

Even though he had one thing; he could not promise it to the other family heads because he was currently watched by the royal shadow who was hidden in his own shadow.

”Brother Holor, I heard that the royal family has already issued a reward for any information on Edmond and Udo along with other things like getting their heads or capturing them alive. So, I don’t think you have to worry much.”

Soon, Gebar said to Holor who was clenching his fist in anger and cursing the family heads of the great families.

Because it was not the first great family that didn’t want to help him. Among all the great families, the Foreglow family head and Terratide family head didn’t even meet him.

So, he was cursing all the great families a lot.

”Okay.”

Since he already got a reply from the family head Gebar, Holor’s face revealed a cold look as he scoffed at Gebar before walking out of the Covenheart family.

”Damn you...damn you...damn you all.”

As soon as he came out of the Covenheart family, Holor became very angry as he started cursing all the family heads openly.

’Once the royal family gets the head of Edmond and Udo, I will see how you will live in the Zrochester province peacefully? Since my family is destroyed and you are not helping me, then there is no need for your families to exist anymore.’

Soon, Holor started planning something in his mind as he started walking back to the royal family.
