New Age Of Summoners

”Sorry, Edmond. It was my fault that the entire Zrochester province is searching for us.”

In the deeper parts of the middle section of the Cursed wilderness, Udo apologized to Edmond with a bitter look on his face.

”No. My calculations went wrong; otherwise, you would have not lost your hand.”

Edmond clenched his fist as he replied to Udo with a face full of seriousness while looking at the missing left hand of Udo.

”...”

Udo didn’t say anything because he knew no matter what he said, Edmond would not stop blaming himself for what he did.

’Even though his calculations went wrong a little, I should have been a little careful.’

Udo shook his head as he recalled what happened a few hours ago.

After leaving the mercenary guild, Edmond and Udo thoroughly looked at Edmond’s plan and modified it as long as they felt something might go wrong.

With a confident plan in their minds, Edmond and Udo moved to the Hammerdust family to destroy it overnight.

According to the plan, Edmond would assassinate the family head and other top echelons of the family and without any problem, Edmond had successfully assassinated top-level cultivators of the Hammerdust family who were inside the house.

As for Udo, he had to keep a lookout for anyone escaping from the house.

Udo was doing his duty and killed anyone trying to escape or warn others until an abyss devil was running out of the house.

Moreover, the cultivation of the abyss devil was more than what Udo could handle.

Nevertheless, Udo sacrificed his hand to kill the abyss devil.

However, what he didn’t accept was that while he was fighting the abyss devil king, the head of the Hammergust family escaped right in front of him.

Later, the escape family head asked the help of the royal family and who knows what the family head Holor offered to the royal family, they were very fast in putting a reward for Edmond and Udo.

The only good thing that happened for them was that the entire Hammergurst family was massacred by Edmond.

That’s right!

Eighty percent of the family members were killed by Captain Edmond whereas Udo took care of the remaining twenty percent with his single hand.

”I should have not allowed that bastard to escape.”

Even though they know that they don’t have the power to change the past, both were blaming themselves for the escape of Holor.

Actually, Edmond thought he assassinated Holor because he confirmed whether he was dead or not and only after confirming, Edmond continued with his plan of assassinating others.

Amidst the assassination, Edmond felt movements from Holor room and by the time he went in, to check, he saw Holor jumping out of the window.

However, at that time, Holor’s complexion was pale and he was very weak.

Also, he had others to kill in the Hammergust family, so he left Holor to Udo who was already fighting a serious battle with the abyss devil. This thing was not known by Edmond.

As for Udo, he was blaming himself for being weak and not even able to kill an abyss devil.

….

In the middle section of the cursed wilderness,

’So, what are you guys searching for?’

While Ajax was travelling with the Quickthunder mercenary squad, he silently asked one of the squad members.

The squad member Ajax asked likes to talk as he was continuously talking all the way and So, Ajax felt he would get all his answers from him. So, he chose him.

Another thing he did along the way was to check the cultivation of each and every squad member of the Quickthunder mercenary squad.

As a top 10 mercenary squad in the Mercenary guild, almost everyone has good cultivation.

In the squad, there were exactly 10 members with four level 5 elite general realm, three-level 3 elite general and one level 1 elite general realm cultivators. As for the captain of the squad, his cultivation was higher than Captain Edmond which is level 8 elite general realm.

However, Captain Edmond had hidden many trump cards and no one dares to challenge him making his squad into the top 3 mercenary squads.

’No wonder, Captain Edmond warned me about them.’

With each moment he spent with the Quickthunder mercenary squad, Ajax understood how powerful the squad was.

’We are trying to find out where Captain Edmond and Udo are hiding.’

As expected, the squad member started speaking; however, before he could give any information, he was interrupted by the squad captain.

”Keep quiet. Looks like there is someone ahead.”

After saying those words, the squad captain halted everyone as he took slow steps towards the specific cave.

...

In the royal captain of the Zrochester province.

”Your majesty, thank you for helping me.”

The family head of the Hammergust family Holor was bowing in front of Stephen Draton as he thanked him.

”You know that I am not doing this for free, right?”

With a slight nod, King Stephen looked at Holor and asked with an expressionless look on his face.

”Of course, I will keep my word, your majesty.”

Hearing those words, the Family head Holor’s face became a little bitter; however, he didn’t let the expression seen by King Stephen as he continued, ”For the help, the king is providing, it is the least thing I could give in return.”

”Good. If you don’t keep your word, I will let you know the taste of the Sacred prison of our royal family in which you will be staying for eternity.”

With a cold smile on his face, King Stephen said to Holor.

’...’

Hearing those words, Holor could not help but shiver; however, he knew that he didn’t have other choices here.

”Your majesty, if there is nothing, I will go and have a little talk with other great families’ family heads.”

Holor wiped the cold sweat off his forehead as he asked permission from King Stephen to leave.

’Huh?’
