New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 2122: Exchange

ʼDonʼt tell me…all his Elemental Spirits have already evolved into Divine Elemental Spirits?ʼ

The moment that thought appeared in Thorneʼs head, even he was shocked by his own speculation.

After all, for a summoner, the Divine Elemental Potion becoming useless could only mean one thing.

All of the summonerʼs Elemental Spirits had already evolved into Divine Elemental Spirits.

And the more Thorne thought about Ajax, the more suspicious he became.

From the very beginning, Ajax never summoned a single Elemental Spirit despite all the other participants summoning at least one.

Secondly, Ajax never used any Official Elemental Skills during the battle.

Instead, he relied entirely on his physical strength and body cultivation to kill the Elemental Beasts.

Thirdly, Ajax showed almost no interest in the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals.

And lastly…

He also showed no interest in the Divine Elemental Potion.

Something every summoner in the universe desperately wished to obtain, even at the cost of risking their lives.

ʼIf it were someone from my grandfatherʼs generation, then maybe it would still be somewhat believable.ʼ

ʼBut this young man is clearly very young.ʼ

Thorne silently frowned.

Naturally, he wanted to directly ask Ajax about it.

However, after thinking about Ajaxʼs age, he quickly shook his head inwardly.

ʼNo…maybe I am just overthinking.ʼ

Since only participants below one hundred years of age could enter the High-grade Elemental Source Land, Thorne naturally didnʼt doubt Ajaxʼs age.

Whatʼs more, even most summoners from his great-grandfatherʼs generation struggle to evolve one of their Elemental Spirits into Divine Elemental Spirits, not to mention Ajax was not even 100 years old.

And because of that, it became even more impossible for him to believe Ajax had already evolved all his Elemental Spirits into Divine Elemental Spirits.

ʼLetʼs say he was talented enough and lucky enough to obtain one Divine Elemental Potion.ʼ

ʼEven then, it only evolves one Elemental Spirit.ʼ

Generally, summoners possessed five Official Elemental Spirits.

Only through special bloodlines, rare physiques, or unique methods could a summoner contract one or two additional Official Elemental Spirits.

Thus, even in the worst-case scenario, a summoner would need at least five Divine Elemental Potions to evolve all their Elemental Spirits.

And Divine Elemental Potions were treasures that even powerful factions found difficult to obtain.

Thus, Thorne simply couldnʼt believe Ajax already possessed multiple Divine Elemental Spirits.

ʼMaybe he has some reason for not summoning his Elemental Spirits.ʼ

Thorne silently thought to himself.

ʼOr perhaps…he simply wants to show off his body cultivation just like most body cultivators.ʼ

Just like the Old Universe, humans in this New Universe also followed two cultivation paths.

Spirit Cultivation and Body Cultivation.

However, compared to Spirit Cultivation, Body Cultivation was far less popular.

After all, Spirit Cultivation was much easier and greatly helped summoners form contracts with stronger Elemental Spirits.

Meanwhile, Body Cultivation was an extremely torturous cultivation path filled with unimaginable pain.

And the stronger one became, the more painful the tempering process would become.

Because of that, most people believed only crazy lunatics or summoners who had lost their Elemental Spirits would willingly walk such a painful path.

Meanwhile, while Thorne was lost in his thoughts, Ajax calmly spoke once again.

”So?”

”Does anyone want these extra Fire Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals?”

”I only want information in exchange.”

Hearing that, Thorne slightly raised his brows.

ʼLooks like my guess about him being a loose cultivator was correct.ʼ

After all, only loose cultivators without backing lacked information regarding the universe.

Most disciples from powerful factions already possessed access to enormous amounts of information.

Thus, it was extremely common for loose cultivators to exchange treasures for knowledge.

Thinking of that, Thorne became even more interested in Ajax.

After all, regardless of whether Ajax possessed Divine Elemental Spirits or not, his terrifying body cultivation alone already made him worth befriending.

ʼJust because a cultivator doesnʼt possess Divine Elemental Spirits doesnʼt mean they are weak.ʼ

This was Thorneʼs honest thought.

In fact, some monstrous body cultivators were even more terrifying than summoners.

Soon, Thorne lightly smiled and stepped forward.

”What information do you want?”

”Secret Realms?”

”Minor Worlds?”

”Divine Artifacts?”

”Divine Pills?”

”Or information regarding ascending to the Heavenly Realm?”

Clearly, Thorne was prepared to provide much more information than what the Fire Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals were actually worth.

And all the topics he mentioned were greatly needed for the cultivators who were planning to ascend to the Heavenly Realm…especially for loose cultivators, this information would be invaluable.

However, Ajax calmly shook his head.

”I want to know about Divine Elemental Spirits.”

”And what exactly happens when a summoner evolves their Elemental Spirits into Divine Elemental Spirits?”

Ajax intentionally asked the most basic question first.

Naturally, he already knew the answer himself.

However, Ajax couldnʼt directly ask whether there was a method to use sealed Divine Elemental Spirits before ascending to the Heavenly Realm.

After all, not summoning his Elemental Spirits had already attracted attention.

If he suddenly started asking questions regarding how to use sealed Divine Elemental Spirits, others could easily connect the dots.

ʼIt might seem like I am thinking too much about my safety; however, to survive in this world, it is necessary to be cautious all the time.ʼ

Thus, Ajax carefully started from the basics.

Meanwhile, the moment Thorne heard Ajaxʼs question, the last bit of suspicion in his heart completely disappeared.

ʼAs I thought…he doesnʼt even know what happens after Elemental Spirits evolve into Divine Elemental Spirits before ascending.ʼ

Instantly, Thorne fully rejected the idea that Ajax possessed Divine Elemental Spirits.

”Sure.”

Thorne nodded his head before starting to explain.

”Once an Elemental Spirit evolves into a Divine Elemental Spirit before the summoner ascends to the Heavenly Realm, the Elemental Spirit will immediately become sealed by the universe.”

”The summoner can no longer summon it nor use its abilities within the Earth Realm.”

”Really? The Divine Elemental Spirits will be sealed?”

Ajax acted slightly surprised despite already knowing everything.

”So the rumours were true…”

Seeing Ajaxʼs reaction, Thorne continued explaining with a smile.

”However, even though the Divine Elemental Spirits become sealed, it is still worth evolving them.”

”Because once the summoner ascends to the Heavenly Realm, the seal will automatically disappear.”

”At that time, the Divine Elemental Spirits will become the summonerʼs greatest advantage. Not only will you be comparable to the Native Divine Summoners of the Heavenly Realm, but you will also be bestowed some rewards by the Heavenly Realm.”

”As for what kind of rewards those summoners who evolve their Elemental Spirits into Divine Elemental Spirits would get from the Heavenly Realm, no one knows because no one would reveal their assets or strength unless itʼs necessary.”

”In short, just remember that having a Divine Elemental Spirit before ascending to the Heavenly Realm would greatly increase your survivability in the Heavenly Realm. The more Divine Elemental Spirits you have, the more rewards you will receive from the Heavenly Realm and the higher your rate of survival in the Heavenly Realm.”

Hearing that, Ajax faked his excitement as he nodded his head before asking another question.

”But what is the point if the Divine Elemental Spirits become sealed?”

”Even if they become extremely useful after ascending to the Heavenly Realm…”

”What if the enemies discover that the summonerʼs Elemental Spirits are sealed?”

”Wouldnʼt they simply kill the summoner before he even ascends?”
