Chapter 2118: Special Reward

All the participants immediately summoned their Elemental Spirits to display their elemental affinities while forming teams.

Especially those with an affinity toward two or even three elements, they directly summoned multiple Elemental Spirits at once to attract suitable teammates.

After all, although having more members in a team would greatly increase the overall fighting power, it would also reduce each personʼs share of the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals.

Moreover, no one here truly trusted one another.

This was not some friendly gathering.

It was a dangerous exploration filled with treasures capable of making even monstrous geniuses become greedy.

Who could guarantee that their teammates wouldnʼt suddenly betray them midway through the exploration?

Thus, although fewer members meant lower fighting power, it also greatly reduced the chances of internal betrayal.

Very quickly, powerful auras erupted one after another throughout the sky.

”I am Veyric Bloodfang!”

A tall young man with long dark-blue hair stepped forward while summoning three Elemental Spirits beside him.

One was a dark-armoured humanoid spirit with a wolf-like head and sharp claws.

Another was a slender humanoid spirit with large storm wings spreading behind its back.

The last one was a graceful, feminine spirit with a long, serpentine tail formed from flowing water.

”I have affinity with Water, Wind, and Dark Elements.”

”If anyone has affinity with Fire and Earth Elements, letʼs form a team.”

The moment the three Elemental Spirits appeared beside him, many participants revealed surprised expressions.

”Three elemental affinities? That makes him rare even among geniuses.”

”Bloodfang? He must be from the Crimson Fang Hall…one of the major clans from the Human Region.”

Ajax silently recalled the information he gathered during the week he waited for the opening of the Elemental Source Land and memorised the name.

Although he currently lacked detailed information regarding the factions in this universe, he naturally intended to remember every powerful force he encountered.

Not because he wanted to join them; instead, he just wanted to stay away from them and avoid unnecessary trouble.

Soon, another young man stepped forward proudly.

”I am Kael Draven from the Draven Forge Clan.”

Unlike Veyricʼs savage aura, Kael possessed a sturdy physique and bronze-colored skin similar to a blacksmith.

Two powerful Elemental Spirits floated behind him.

One was a muscular humanoid spirit whose arms resembled molten hammers blazing with fire.

The other was a giant humanoid spirit covered in rocky armour plates.

”I have affinity with Fire and Earth Elements. I am looking for members with the remaining elemental affinities.”

”Draven Forge Clan? I heard they specialise in forging Emperor Realm Artifacts.”

Ajax silently noted down another powerful faction.

ʼWith his elemental affinity of two elements, Kael and Veyric could form a two-man team; however, neither of them seemed to be interested in that.ʼ

ʼLooks like it is indeed true that the Draven Forge Clan and Crimson Fang Hall are not on good terms.ʼ

Ajax only had bits and pieces of information and was not sure whether they were true or not.

Nevertheless, he could deduce some things on his own with what he was seeing.

At the same time, another figure calmly spoke from the side.

”I am Thorne Valek from the Iron Mountain Sect.”

Compared to the others, his aura was much steadier.

A tall metallic humanoid spirit with silver markings across its body and an earth spirit with horn-like stone protrusions on its head stood behind him while releasing heavy pressure.

”Affinity with Metal and Earth.”

”Interested members may join me.”

”Metal affinity?”

”I want to join your team.”

”I want to join too.”

Even though there were no Metal-type terrains in the Elemental Source Land, many showed interest in joining his team.

The reason was simple. Except for Fire Element, Metal Elemental Spirits had advantages against other Elemental Spirits like Wind, Dark, Earth, and even slightly against Water-type Elemental Spirits.

”Iron Mountain Sect indeed has a good name.”

Seeing the scene of everyone rushing to join Thorne Valek, Ajax concluded that.

Another reason everyone wanted to join Thorne Valek was that the Iron Mountain Sect was considered a righteous sect and would always stand by their word.

As for whether they were good or bad, Ajax had no interest in that and didnʼt care about it.

Soon, more and more participants started revealing their elemental affinities.

Some summoned elegant fire spirits with blazing hair.

Some summoned wind spirits with feathered wings.

Others revealed dark-element spirits with beast-like eyes and tails that emitted chilling pressure.

Naturally, those possessing affinity with multiple elements quickly became the leaders while recruiting members capable of covering the elemental affinities they lacked.

After all, having all five elemental affinities within a team would greatly increase their efficiency while exploring the five elemental regions.

Most of the participants here came from powerful factions.

Because of that, almost everyone wanted to become the team leader instead of following othersʼ commands.

Naturally, many conflicts and arguments quickly broke out.

”I already have two elemental affinities. Why should I listen to you?”

”Hmph! My clan is stronger than your sect.”

”If you donʼt want to join, then leave.”

Nevertheless, despite the conflicts, teams gradually started forming one after another.

Some teams had five members, whereas some only had three.

A few particularly confident geniuses even planned to explore alone.

Meanwhile, Ajax quietly floated in the sky alone while observing everything.

ʼSo what if I canʼt summon any Elemental Spirits?ʼ

Ajax remained completely calm.

ʼI never planned on joining any teams anyway.ʼ

Earlier, a few participants had approached him to ask about his elemental affinities.

However, since all his Divine Elemental Spirits were sealed inside his Divine Spirit Consciousness, Ajax naturally couldnʼt summon them.

Thus, he didnʼt bother explaining anything.

Instead, he directly rejected everyone.

Even if his Elemental Spirits werenʼt sealed, Ajax still wouldnʼt have formed a team with strangers in a completely unfamiliar universe.

ʼIt is better to rely on myself.ʼ

Ajax silently thought to himself.

Moreover, unlike the others, he didnʼt desperately need the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals and was confident in completing the First Stage.

After all, all his Elemental Spirits had already fully awakened their [Elemental Ascendance].

Not only that, they had already evolved into Divine Elemental Spirits.

Thus, the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals were practically useless to him.

ʼI only need enough crystals to clear the first stage.ʼ

While everyone else was discussing strategies to quickly gather crystals and compete for the special rewards, Ajax remained much calmer than the others.

Soon, after nearly everyone finished forming teams, the ancient voice echoed throughout the world once again.

[The Special Reward for the First Stage will be announced now]

The moment the ancient voice mentioned the Special Reward, all the participants instantly became silent and attentively listened.

[The ten participants with the highest number of Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals by the end of the First Stage will each receive a Divine Elemental Potion.]

ʼWhat?ʼ

ʼDivine Elemental Potion?ʼ

ʼI want it…I want it at any cost.ʼ

ʼAccording to my grandfather, having at least one Divine Elemental Spirit before ascending to the Heavenly Realm would greatly increase your status.ʼ

ʼEven I heard about it. Letʼs aim to get as many Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals as possible and enter the top ten rankings.ʼ

Instantly, the entire atmosphere exploded into chaos as everyone started speaking about the benefits of the Divine Elemental Potion and how badly they wanted it.

ʼT-this…ʼ

Even Ajaxʼs eyes slightly widened in shock as he was not expecting Divine-Grade items to be issued in the First Stage.
