New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 2120: Thorne Valek

The Fiery Volcanic Terrain was far more dangerous than many participants initially expected.

The volcanic region was filled with countless molten lava lakes, erupting volcanoes, and rivers of lava flowing like oceans.

Moreover, the extremely dense Fire Essence of Nature greatly strengthened the Fire-type Elemental Beasts living there.

Especially the Volcanic Lava Sharks…. These shark-type Elemental Beasts were extremely troublesome opponents within the volcanic terrain.

Not only were they incredibly fast within the lava, but they were also extremely cunning.

No matter how much the Fire-type Summoner had affinity with the fire elements, unlike their Elemental Spirits, they could not jump into the lava lake, as it would burn them to death.

Because of this, the Volcanic Lava Sharks would silently hide deep beneath the molten lava lakes before suddenly launching sneak attacks on nearby participants.

And the moment the participants tried to counterattack, the Volcanic Lava Sharks would instantly dive back into the depths of the lava lakes and disappear.

At this moment, Thorne Valek and his two teammates were struggling against a group of more than a dozen Volcanic Lava Sharks.

ʼSPLASHʼ

Another fiery shark suddenly burst out from the lava lake and bit toward one of his teammatesʼ Fire Elemental Spirits.

”Watch out!”

Boom!

A humanoid fire spirit barely blocked the attack with its flaming arms before being sent flying backwards.

ʼSPLASHʼ

However, before the participants could launch a counterattack, the Volcanic Lava Shark directly escaped into the lava again.

”Damn it!”

”It escaped again.”

”How are we supposed to kill it inside the lava?”

Thorneʼs teammates revealed ugly expressions.

Initially, Thorne thought that since he was a Metal-type Summoner, he recruited Fire-type Summoners and even with two Fire-type Summoners, they were struggling.

Even though their team possessed Fire Elemental Spirits capable of entering the lava lakes, the situation was still terrible.

After all, there were simply too many Volcanic Lava Sharks hiding beneath the lava.

Moreover, inside the molten lava lakes, the sharks possessed an overwhelming advantage.

Not only did their speed increase greatly, but the surrounding lava continuously strengthened them while weakening the summoned Elemental Spirits.

At the same time, another problem soon appeared.

”ARGHH!”

One of the Fire Elemental Spirits suddenly screamed in pain.

Three Volcanic Lava Sharks had surrounded it beneath the lava lake and tore apart one of its flaming arms.

Seeing that, Thorneʼs expression instantly darkened.

ʼDamn it…with so many of these shark-type Elemental Beasts, I thought I would get lots of Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals.ʼ

ʼBut this is much more difficult than I expected.ʼ

Originally, Thorne thought the Fiery Volcanic Terrain would be one of the easiest regions for him.

After all, both of his teammates possessed Fire Elemental Spirits.

However, reality was completely different.

”Withdraw the Fire Spirits first.”

”Quickly bring them out from the lava lake.”

Thorne hurriedly gave orders.

Clearly, continuing the battle like this would only cause unnecessary injuries to their Elemental Spirits.

”Forget it…letʼs just farm for the crystals in the Wind Terrain.”

With his metal element countering the wind element, farming for the crystals in that terrain was much easier.

Therefore, Thorne decided to change his plan.

ʼBOOOOMʼ

However, before the Fire Elemental Spirits could fully retreat, one gigantic Volcanic Lava Shark suddenly leapt out from the lava with terrifying speed and bit apart a Fire Elemental Spirit before diving back into the lava again.

ʼCoughʼ

The owner of that Elemental Spirit coughed a mouthful of blood, which was the backlash from the Elemental Spiritʼs death.

”Damn beast!”

The surrounding participants instantly became panicked as they realised that these Elemental Beasts were not only powerful but also very cunning.

Clearly, despite having a numerical advantage, they were completely being toyed with by a dozen Volcanic Lava Sharks.

ʼSwiishʼ

At that moment, Ajax descended from the sky.

Seeing another cultivator flying toward the lava lake, the nearby participants hurriedly shouted.

”Donʼt go near it!”

”That beast is too troublesome.”

”It will just hide inside the lava again.”

Thorne also frowned slightly as he warned Ajax.

”Friend, donʼt recklessly approach the lava lake.”

”These Volcanic Lava Sharks are not easy to deal with.”

”Even Fire Elemental Spirits can barely fight properly beneath the lava.”

ʼSPLASHʼ

Sure enough, the moment the fiery shark sensed Ajax approaching, without hesitation, it dove deeper into the lava lake to avoid Ajaxʼs attack.

However, Ajax didnʼt stop; instead, his speed suddenly increased.

Seeing that, Thorneʼs eyes widened.

”Wait!”

”You canʼt directly enter the molten lava lake—”

ʼBOOOOOOMʼ

Before he could finish speaking, under everyoneʼs shocked gazes, Ajax directly plunged into the volcanic lava lake with a single punch.

”What?!”

”He really jumped in?”

”Is he crazy?”

The surrounding participants instantly became stunned.

After all, this was not ordinary lava.

The molten lava within the Fiery Volcanic Terrain contained extremely dense Fire Essence of Nature.

Even High-level Emperor Realm Cultivators would be killed if they directly entered it without protection.

However, Ajax completely ignored their shocked reactions.

ʼI have been tempering my body with flames much hotter than this molten lava lake.ʼ

Ajax inwardly smiled.

Compared to the terrifying Sentient Flames he previously used for body tempering and the terrifying locations of the Wild Sentient Flames he had tamed, the temperature of this lava lake was nothing.

Not to mention, he was also a Divine Body Cultivator.

Thus, the terrifying lava surrounding him couldnʼt harm him in the slightest.

At this moment, Ajaxʼs Divine Body Cultivation quietly circulated throughout his body, tempering his body.

However, the rate at which it was tempered was very slow to the point that it was not at all visible to the naked eye.

ʼYou want to play hide and seek with me? Sure, I will play along.ʼ

Meanwhile, Ajaxʼs Divine Spirit Consciousness spread throughout the lava lake.

Even though Ajax could swim inside the molten lava lake, he could not see through his eyes.

Nevertheless, using his Divine Spirit Consciousness, he could easily sense the locations of all living beings and the concentrated essence of nature.

In short, unlike the others blindly searching within the lava, Ajax could clearly sense the flow of Fire Essence of Nature beneath the lake.

And wherever the Fire Essence gathered most densely, the Volcanic Lava Sharks were hiding there.

ʼFound you.ʼ

Ajaxʼs eyes instantly locked onto one of the sharks.

Boom!

The next moment, Ajax directly punched toward the lava beneath him.

The terrifying physical strength behind the punch instantly exploded through the lava lake.

ʼSCREEEECHʼ

A Volcanic Lava Shark hidden hundreds of meters beneath the lava instantly exploded apart from the punch.

At the same time, a crimson crystal automatically flew out from the sharkʼs corpse and entered Ajaxʼs Spirit Ring.

[Obtained: Fire Spirit Ascension Crystal x1]

ʼWhat a convenient way to collect the crystals!!ʼ

Ajax had already seen that whenever a participant killed an Elemental Beast, the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystal would fly into their Space Ring.

If not, it would have been a bit troublesome to search for the crystals in the Molten Lava Lake.

ʼAnyway, letʼs kill 19 more and get out of this terrain.ʼ

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Before the surrounding sharks could react, Ajax continuously punched through the lava lake.

He used no skills or Divine Rules in his punches, but each one of them carried terrifying, destructive power.

It was the power of his Divine Body Cultivation, which he gained through tempering his body by countless methods.

One Volcanic Lava Shark after another exploded apart beneath the lava.

Meanwhile, crimson crystals continuously flew into Ajaxʼs Spirit Ring.

Outside the lava lake, Thorne and his teammates stood there completely dumbfounded.

”W-what…”

”Did he really jump into the lava lake?”

”And…heʼs killing the Volcanic Lava Sharks inside it?”

Their eyes were filled with disbelief.

After all, they had just personally experienced how terrifying those Volcanic Lava Sharks were beneath the lava.

Yet now, someone was casually slaughtering them inside their own territory.

”I wonder which family created such a powerful monster.”

Thorne Valek, belonging to one of the top powers of this Universe, knew about all the top geniuses in the universe.

However, there was no record of this cultivator, who was using his brute strength to kill the Elemental Beasts.

ʼWait a second…Is he a loose cultivator that doesnʼt wish to join any force?ʼ

Among the information his Iron Mountain Sect had collected, there was information about all the geniuses.

Even if those geniuses were loose cultivators without any backing, their information was collected by the sect.

Nevertheless, most loose cultivators kept a low profile, especially those with talent but who didnʼt want to join any power.

ʼRecruiting him might be difficult; however, I should at least become friends with him.ʼ

Seeing how powerful Ajax was, Thorne thought of becoming friends because with such power, it was only a matter of time before Ajax ascended to the Heavenly Realm.

So, having an additional friend in the Heavenly Realm would be quite helpful.

”Brother Thorne, what shall we do about him?”

One of the teammates asked Thorne about the teammate whose Elemental Spirit was killed.

”Here, use this potion.”

Coming out of his thoughts, Thorne tossed a red-colored potion bottle at the injured summoner.

”T-this…Spirit Revival Potion?”

The surrounding participants were shocked to recognise the potion bottle.

Spirit Revival Potion, as its name suggests, helps a summoner revive one of his dead Elemental Spirits.

Of course, the revived Elemental Spirit will lose all its Elemental Ascendance and have to start from the beginning.

”Thank you, Brother Thorne. I will remember your kindness till my death.”

That summoner hurriedly thanked Thorne from the bottom of his heart.

”As expected of Thorne Valek, he is not only kind but also takes responsibility for his teammates.”

”Thatʼs the reason why I wanted to join his team.”

”But, we were not lucky to be chosen by him.”

.

.

.

The surrounding participants praised Thorne; however, Thorne didnʼt bother to listen to them.

Instead, his focus was on Ajax, who just jumped out of the molten lava lake.

”I have some extra Fire Elemental Ascension Crystals. Does anyone want them?”

Dusting off the molten lava from his body, Ajax asked the surrounding participants with a faint smile.
