New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1000: [Bonus Chapter]Partner without a contract

# 1000

ʼDaniel? So, Captain Edmondʼs sonʼs name is Daniel and if I am not wrong, I must look similar to him.ʼ

Finally, Ajax felt like all the questions regarding why Captain Edmond was so kind to him despite the fact his origins were suspicious.

Ajax still remembered that day as though it happened just yesterday.

He walked out of the cursed abyss only to meet a few mercenaries and while everyone was wary about him, the captain of the mercenary squad was so kind to him.

Not only did he invite him to join his squad, he also taught the basic knowledge of cultivation while giving him many spirit stones.

When Ajax remembered the day of his early cultivation day, Ajax could not help but feel nostalgic.

”Compared to Edmond and his wife, the old sect master blamed himself for the death of Daniel which made him lose his cultivation path and soon became sick.”

After calming his wife, Bren replied to Ajax and all of a sudden, Bren became a little anxious.

”Thatʼs right! I have to go back and see my master. He was already sick five years back. I wonder how he is doing.”

Bren hurriedly helped Edina stand up on the ground and said, ”Edina, letʼs go and meet the old sect master.”

As for how he knew itʼs been exactly five years since he became a cursed being, it was, of course, learned from Nameless cultivator.

”Sorry to inform you once again, the old sect master had died five years back.”

Once again it was Master Elek who walked into the middle and informed Bren.

ʼThudʼ

As soon as he heard those words, Bren fell to his knees; however, he didnʼt cry for some reason.

Nevertheless, one could see the anger in his eyes.

The anger was towards himself for not staying beside his Master and Godfather.

”If you want, I can take you to Edmond and then decide what you have to do.”

Finally, after waiting for some time, Master Elek spoke as he informed them that he would take them to Captain Edmond.

”Hm”

Before he and his wife came on the sect mission five years back, Bren sensed something was not right with the sect and also thought that Ketrok must have planned something to overtake the sect.

So, going back to the sect with his reduced cultivation would only give him confirm-death.

Thatʼs right!

For some reason, Brenʼs cultivation had dropped from peak elite general realm to level 5 elite general realm; however, in Edinaʼs case, the cultivation drop didnʼt happen which made him relate it to Ketrok.

ʼDamn it...once I find out what he did to my cultivation, I will take care of him.ʼ

Bren cursed Ketrok as he clenched his fists before nodding his head at Master Elek.

”Letʼs go then.”

Master Elek knew he didnʼt have anything to do in the Cursed Heaven. So, he decided to take them with him to make the reunion with Captain Edmond.

As for where to find Captain Edmond, it was not a difficult thing for Master Elek.

”Hm”

Both Bren and Edin nodded their heads as they walked behind Master Elek.

”Once again thanks for saving us. If you need any help, donʼt hesitate to ask us. Even though we didnʼt have the power we used to have in the past, we will try our best in repaying you back.”

All of a sudden, Bren stopped in his steps as he walked back to Ajax and with a deep bow, he thanked Ajax.

As soon as he finished his words, Bren rushed out of the cave to follow Master Elek to meet Captain Edmond.

”Itʼs okay.”

As for Ajax, he casually shook his head as he didnʼt think much about it.

”Senior, I will take my leave now.”

Since he got to know what he wanted to know about Captain Edmond, Ajax was satisfied and when he thought about his mission of ʼWorld destroyingʼ, he said those words to Nameless cultivator.

”Okay. Young master.”

As Ajax had already explained to the Nameless cultivator that he was going to train in the inner section of the cursed wilderness, he didnʼt ask any questions and nodded his head.

Without wasting any time, Ajax also started walking towards the exit.

ʼThudʼ

ʼThudʼ

However, Ajax heard a loud sound from behind and without turning back, Ajax could say where the sound must have come from/

So, without turning back, Ajax continued to walk forward.

”Roar”

The primitive ape king who was following behind Ajax was excited when he saw that Ajax stopped in his tracks; however, when he saw that Ajax was not paying anything to him, he roared at Ajax in order to gain his attention.

ʼSighʼ

Ajax could not help but sigh when he heard the loud roar and finally, turned back to look at the huge spirit beast.

”What is your problem? Didnʼt you reject my offer to become my contracted spirit beast? Then, why are you following me?”

Ajax scoffed at the huge primitive ape king as he asked multiple questions to the spirit beast.

”I want to become your partner.”

The primitive ape king looked at Ajax for a moment before replying to him in his hoarse voice.

”Didnʼt I ask you that earlier?”

Ajax replied with a scoff just like before.

”No. Forming a contract with a cultivator makes me their slave. I want to become your partner without a contract. I will protect you with my life and I want the same from you.”

In his usual hoarse voice, the primitive ape king explained to Ajax.

”What?”

Not only Ajax, but even the Nameless cultivator was also surprised when he heard the primitive ape kingʼs words.

”What do you say?”

Seeing that Ajax was not replying to his earlier words, the primitive ape king asked Ajax about his answer.

”What if I say no?”

Ajax had already decided on his answer after hearing the earlier reply; however, he asked a question to see what he would get the reply from the spirit beast.
