New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 999: Edmondʼs past

There must be some reason for someone to hate others, right?

So, Ajax asked Master Elek regarding the reason why Captain Edmond hated the fire sword sect so much.

”...”

Master Elek looked at Edina and didnʼt answer Ajax as he remained silent.

Even Edina remained silent as though she didnʼt wish to say it.

”I will tell you the reason.”

However, Edinaʼs husband, Bren, replied to Ajax saying that he would clarify Ajaxʼs doubts.

Someone is blaming his Fire sword sect and Bren didnʼt like it. So, he wanted to give a clarification to Ajax. So that he could stop blaming the fire sword sect for something that they didnʼt do.

”I am all ears.”

Ajax was puzzled at the sudden silence of Master Elek and Edina; however, he heaved a sigh of relief when he saw Bren wanted to answer his question.

As for the reason why he heaved a sigh of relief was because even Captain Edmond was not willing to say it; however, Ajax was curious by nature and wanted to find out more about Edmond to help him in the future.

”Husband..”

Edina wanted to stop her husband; however, Bren didnʼt bother about it because nothing would happen to Edmond and anyone near to him if he said the reason why Edmond hates the Fire sword sect.

”Actually, young master Edmond greatly respected the fire sword sect when we were all small. When we can start cultivating, Edmond and I got the opportunity to join the Fire sword sect. Since I am just a servant of the Hazegroove family, I was over the moon and readily joined the sect; however, as the sole young master of the family, he is not allowed to cultivate anywhere else except for the family.”

Bren started the story of their past and Ajax continued to listen to his words with a complete focus.

”Luckily, my cultivation talent was top notch and I was able to become the direct disciple of the old sect master. As for young master Edmond, since he really liked the fire sword sect, he used the reason of ʼcoming to see meʼ from time to time to enter the Fire sword sect.”

”As we grew, Edmondʼs visits to the sect became more and more and he secretly learned the fire sword style of my master and impressed him.”

”Even though young master Edmondʼs cultivation talent was not high, his determination and endurance even scared my master. At the same time, he also learned that one of his daughters had fallen in love with Edmond and Edmond also loved her Since my master saw something about Edmond, he was not against the marriage and with a grand banquet, he arranged their marriage which was the talk of the entire province at the time.”

”Soon, they had a son and only when the child was 10 years old, the old sect master had found something about him.”

Saying up to there, Bren stopped speaking to take a deep breath.

”What did he find about Captain Edmondʼs child?”

Ajax thought Bren would just say one or two lines about the reason why Edmond hates the fire sword sect; however, Bren was saying everything from their childhood.

Of course, Ajax was not irritated by it; instead, he became more and more curious about Captain Edmondʼs past.

Moreover, he became annoyed when Bren stopped telling the story. So, he shouted at him to continue the story.

”The old sect master found out that their son has the talent of his daughter and the determination of Edmond. So, he decided to send their son into a secret inheritance ground of sect before Edmondʼs son could start cultivating to get an inheritance of the powerful sect master of the fire sword sect who broke through to the King realm.”

”Thatʼs bullshit.”

All of a sudden, Master Elek interrupted Brenʼs story as he continued, ”No one had ever broken through into the King realm from any of the three sects.”

”No, it is not true. According to what I learned from the secret records of the sect, one of the sect leaders was able to break through into the King realm; however, he didnʼt predict that a lightning tribulation would appear right after he broke through. So, he decided to enter the secret inheritance ground of the sect to hide to recover his strength; however, he was unable to last for much longer in the inheritance ground before dying.”

”However, before he died, he said that he would be leaving a heaven-shaking inheritance for the younger generation. However, the prerequisite was the participant should not start his cultivation, he should have a good cultivation talent and the very important thing was determination and endurance.”

Hearing Master Elekʼs words, Bren could not help but clench his fists as he retorted back at Master Elek.

ʼWhat the hell happened in the last five years? Why the hell did my fire sword sect become the public enemy number one?ʼ

After retorting, Bren silently thought to himself.

Even though people used to speak badly about the top sects in the past, they would not hate it so much. So, he was shocked and wanted to find out what made everyone hate the fire sword sect.

”So, their son didnʼt make it out?”

After some hesitation, Ajax asked Edina and Bren in a low voice.

”Yes...Daniel didnʼt make it out...Sob”

Soon, Edina once again started crying after replying to Ajax.

Even though Master Elek and others were annoyed with her continuous sobbing, they didnʼt stop because they thought how close she was to Daniel.

”Edina, stop crying. We canʼt bring Daniel back to life now. It is how nature works.”

Bren, who was at the side, could not help but heave a long sigh and tried to control his wife.

However, he was unable to control her.
