New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 964: Special Dimensional Crevice

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼSplashʼ

Ajax teleported himself continuously until he fell into the pool and without wasting any time, he drank the water from the pool.

The reason he didnʼt waste any time drinking the water was because he wanted the current trial to come to an end.

ʼSwooshʼ

Soon, the old man appeared above the pool with a slight smile on his face.

ʼDamn you.ʼ

Ajax was already furious regarding the trial and the old man for creating such a cruel trial and when he saw the smiling face of the old man hovering above the pool, he could not help but curse inside his heart.

”Congratulations for successfully completing the trial and becoming my successor. From now on you are the owner of the dimensional crevice.”

The old man already knew Ajax was furious and cursing him in his heart; however, he had to do what he had to do because he didnʼt want his successor to be killed.

Moreover, he was able to survive for thousands of years but his successor was less than 20 years old. So, he wanted to make sure that the young man in the pool had enough endurance, patience that was already tested in the previous trial and determination.

ʼPhewʼ

At the same time, Ajaxʼs body started healing and his amputated legs started regrowing making Ajax heaved a sigh of relief.

”Hm.”

Ajax didnʼt show any excitement or thanked the old man; instead, he nodded his head with a cold look on his face.

ʼSighʼ

Seeing that old man sighed as he knew he could not blame Ajax for replying like that.

”Before my spirit consciousness disappears, I will have some things to say to you. So, listen carefully because my spirit consciousness canʼt stay here for much longer.”

Nevertheless, the old man had to explain some things, so he didnʼt even wait for Ajax to reply as he started explaining.

”Dimensional crevice is always mysterious for everyone and only a few people know about what the dimension crevice can do and how useful can it become for a cultivator.”

”Most of the cultivators from normal worlds and even cultivators from some of the greater worlds use it to connect various provinces; however, it was just wasting the potential of the dimensional crevice.”

The old man stopped for a moment as he looked at Ajax to see whether he was absorbing everything he was saying.

ʼWhat?ʼ

Ajax was surprised for only a moment before nodding his head.

Actually, Ajax already felt the dimensional crevices have other uses and he waited for the old man to continue saying what he wanted to say.

”Dimensional crevice, in short, is just like a contracted spirit beast that grows along with the master. So, the more powerful you become, the more useful the dimensional crevice will become; however, you should not connect it to any of the provinces because you can connect it to other worlds.”

”Really?”

Ajax was pleasantly surprised when he heard those words as he excitedly asked the old man.

”Yes but you need to be at least a King realm cultivator. Not only can you connect to different worlds, but you will also be having more advantages compared to other King realm cultivators just because of a dimensional crevice.”

The old man explained everything about the dimensional crevice that Ajax needed to know.

”I will follow your advice not to connect it to different provinces.”

Ajax nodded his head with the same cold look on his face.

Even though the old man was entrusting Ajax with his dimensional crevice, Ajax was not showing any gratefulness; instead, he felt he earned it after enduring so much pain in the earlier trial.

”So, what about your enemies? Why do they want this dimensional crevice so badly?”

Soon, after the explanation about the dimensional crevice, Ajax asked the old man about his enemies.

”As the current owner of the dimensional crevice, you have all the right to know about my enemies because they will become your enemies too just because of owning my dimensional crevice.”

The old manʼs face became serious when he said those words as he asked Ajax, ”You already know how to upgrade the dimensional crevice, right?”

”Yes. To upgrade the dimensional crevice, I have to defeat the owner of the other dimensional crevices and let my dimensional crevice devour their dimensional crevice.”

Ajax answered it because he already knew about it.

”Thatʼs right! Just like how the contracted spirit beasts get new skills whenever they level up, the dimensional crevices would get additional features. Moreover, there are even chances that they might get mutated and become a special dimensional crevice and this dimensional crevice is one of those special dimensional crevices.”

The old man became nostalgic all of a sudden as he remembered the time his dimensional crevice was mutated.

”I already guessed it.”

Ajax was not surprised because when he entered this dimensional crevice, he felt there was something different from the dimensional crevice he previously entered.

So, he nodded his head as he asked the old man, ”So, what kind of functions does a dimensional crevice unlocks after upgrading? Moreover, what kind of function did this dimensional crevice unlock that got you killed?”

Ajax was more curious about the features of the dimensional crevices and the special dimensional crevice. So, he asked about them.

”Even though the reason I died was because of this dimensional crevice, because of it, I was able to live for thousands of years. So, I donʼt have any regrets about it.”

The old manʼs words made Ajax confused a little but he didnʼt bother asking too many details and nodded his head while watching the old man answer his previous question.

”Normal dimensional crevices unlocked features like increase in the ʼcultivation speedʼ, ʼPlantation qualityʼ, ʼSpirit beastʼs growthʼ or there were even some features that decrease the time required to grow the plants and herbs.”

The old manʼs body started flickering as though it might disappear any time now.

ʼThe special dimensional….ʼ
