New Age Of Summoners

496 Guild masterʼs assumption

Moreover, earlier when the demon chief was about to kill Edmond, he was the one who saved Edmond and killed the demon chief.

So, when he heard the old guild masterʼs words, Rulf felt it was not true.

”Okay then, let me explain,” The guild master completely knew about Rulf and if he doesnʼt clarify now, it would become an inner demon for him. So, he chose to explain to him about Edmondʼs secret trump cards.

”First, he has his familyʼs heirloom, the crystal sword, which can increase its grades along with its owner,”

”Second, he has 10 different secret techniques from all the 10 hidden families. Although he can only use 2-3 techniques before his essence of nature runs out, he can seriously injure you before that,”

”What?” Rulf became shocked with the two reasons that the old guild master had given.

ʼEven though that crystal sword is not powerful enough to kill me now; however, in the future, when its level increases to mythical grade then I will not have a chance against him. Moreover, if he uses the two or three secret techniques in synchronization, then I will be seriously injured,ʼ Rulf silently compared the two reasons that the old guild master had said about Edmond.

ʼI guess, I found a nice rival in my cultivation journey,ʼ

Nevertheless, Rulf was excited because now he found a rival for him to fight with.

ʼSlapʼ

”Itʼs not over yet,” The old guild master slapped Rulf on the back of his head and brought him back to reality.

ʼAhemʼ

The guild master cleared his voice before saying, ”It is only my assumption that there is a high chance of Edmond being a summoner.”

He said those words in a very low-voice making Rulf puzzled.

”Why? Do you have any reason for that assumption?” Rulf didnʼt laugh when he heard those words as he saw the serious look on the guild masterʼs face and he could guess that the guild master was not messing with his thoughts.

”It is my gut feeling that Edmond has one or two powerful elemental spirits but he refuses to summon them in front of anyone as though he is planning something big in the near future,” The old guild master didnʼt stop there but continued, ”And since we already knew that he was the chosen one of the hidden families, I think the fate of the Zrochester province is going to change when he acts.”

”Guild master, donʼt forget that they are your assumptions,” Rulf shook his head as he thought the guild master had some reason for stating that Edmond was a summoner; however, when he heard his words, Rulf didnʼt take his words seriously.

”Whatever, all I am saying is that donʼt unnecessarily fight with him and injure yourself,” The old guild master didnʼt bother to convince Rulf as he was only giving him a piece of advice.

ʼI forgot to say, you are also one of the persons, I believe that can change the fate of the Zrochester province,ʼ

After Rulf left, the guild master silently thought in his head with a light smile on his face.

ʼStephen Draton, at least send your army to assist us; otherwise, I will try my best in taking down you and your royal family at any cost,ʼ

Soon, his thoughts came back to the reinforcements and silently swore in his heart.

Since he had already lost hope in the top three sects and five great families, he at least wanted the royal family to send their army because if the mercenaries failed in defending the demon army, then there would be casualties in the towns and villages that were near to the cursed wilderness.

A king should protect his land and his subjects. So, the guild master hoped that at least the royal family would not disappoint him.

ʼTime is running out and the mercenaries could not hold much longer,ʼ Looking at the mercenaries, who were almost exhausted, the guild master shook his head.

Due to the exhaustion of the mercenaries, they were unable to defend the attacks from the demons and even got injured before they were rescued by the other mercenaries.

In between, the guild master also helped some of the mercenaries that were about to be killed by the demons.

ʼIf this continues, all the mercenaries will have to give up before the third batch of the demon army comes,ʼ the Guild master started to feel anxious looking at the one-sided fight with the demon army.

Edmond, Rulf, Blood rose, Udo and Darbaudr were not having any problem as they were using only skills and techniques that consumed less essence of nature.

But still, they could not completely kill all the demons in the demon army as this army was more powerful and the first batch of the demon army that Ajax had destroyed with the help of his summons.

...

While Edmond and others were fighting the demons army in the middle section of the cursed wilderness, Ajax was flying towards the cursed abyss with Twilight.

ʼMapʼ

Ajax silently thought in his head and soon a map appeared in front of him.

Along with that, a complete mini-version of the cursed abyss appeared in it and he quickly checked the location of the dimensional crevice.

ʼHere it is. Twilight, this side….now fly towards your left with your full speedʼ

As soon as found it, he guided the destructive dragon towards those coordinates at his fastest speed.

It didnʼt take much time for the dragon to reach the exact coordinates of the dimensional crevice.

ʼTwilight land here,ʼ Ajax asked the dragon to land some distance away from the entrance of the dimensional crevice because he saw someone there.

On the ground,

There were 10 demon generals, who looked as though they were searching for something in that area.

”Why is the demon king, making us search for the entrance of a dimension crevice in this vast cursed abyss?” A peak level 9 demon general asked another demon general with the peak level 10 demon general realm strength, who was beside him.

”Idiot, just do what you are supposed to do,” The peak general realm demon scolded the demon general, who talked first.

”But, isnʼt finding an entrance to the dimensional crevice is the most difficult thing to do in the cursed abyss. Moreover, we still didnʼt know whether the dimensional crevice had an owner or not” Another level 10 demon general supported the demon general, who started asking the questions, first.

”If you want to die, then stop your search back and report it to the demon king,” the leader of the demon group shook his head and didnʼt bother about his subordinates; however, he continued to search for the entrance of the dimensional crevice.

”Sigh...you know we canʼt do that,” The rest of the demon generals shook their heads as they also continued to search for the entrance.
