”Always watch your back while you are in a fight,” Rulf smirked at the demon chief; however, he didnʼt even move his finger.

”What?”

The demon chief became surprised at his words and looked behind him only to see no one.

ʼPuchhiʼ

Just when he turned back to check what was behind him, a long sword pierced through the demon chiefʼs chest

ʼAarghhʼ

The demon chief howled in pain and hurriedly jumped backwards to remove the long sword from his chest.

Before the demon chief pulled back the long and thin sword from his chest, it came out of his body on its own and cut the roots that binded Rulf.

”The thing I wanted to say is when the enemy is in your hands, donʼt speak non-sense with him…..,”

After freeing himself from the root bindings, Rulf mocked the demon chief before he disappeared from his place and appeared behind him.

ʼPierceʼ

ʼSlashʼ

ʼThudʼ

”and kill him immediately like this,” He completed his previous mocked after he pierced his sword into the demon chiefʼs body before slashing the demon chiefʼs body into two parts.

The demon chief didnʼt even have the time to howl in pain as his body was cut into the two parts by the Rulf.

Even after he died, his face still had a raged expression on his face because he was killed by a human, who had less strength than him.

Whatʼs more, he was fooled by that human before he was killed and he still regretted not killing him when had the chance.

However, there was no medicine for regret and in the end, he had lost his life.

ʼPhew...this one is a tough one and my essence of nature is emptied with that one move,ʼ After killing the demon chief, Rulf collapsed onto the ground and heaved a sigh of relief when he gambled his life for using one of his secret techniques.

”Edmond, you can hold onto for a while, right? I donʼt have any essence of nature in my spirit consciousness. I want to recover it,” Rulf looked at Edmond and asked him to try his best.

”Idiot, your essence of nature emptied after using one a couple of moves? What a waste!” Edmond shook his head and continued, ”We can manage these elite demon generals for a while; however, the young ones are in danger,” Edmond replied to Rulf while fighting with two elite demon generals at once.

”I need at least five minutes to recover; otherwise, even if I went into the fight now, I will die for nothing,” Rulf bitterly shook his head and said it was impossible for him to fight now.

”Sigh...okay then. Go towards that elemental spirit and recover your strength for only five minutes before joining the fight,” Edmond sighed and finally gave in and asked him to enter the Earth shield created by Slait.

After the death of their chief, the morale of the elite demon generals lowered and their battles prowess were lowered which put Edmond and others in an advantageous position.

As for Rulf, he followed Edmondʼs earlier finger direction and saw an earth elemental spirit and an unconscious man beside the elemental spirit. Without wasting any time, he entered the earth shield and sat beside Slait before entering into deep mediation.

Before they even start fighting with the second batch of the demon army, Ajax summoned Slait to protect his senior brother Levi with his earth shield which could withstand even an all-out attack from a general realm cultivator.

Although he knew it was not much of a help against the elite demon general realms cultivators, he didnʼt want to leave his senior brother without any care. So, he summoned Slait to take care of him.

ʼJust wait for five minutes,ʼ

The fight on Edmondʼs side had become somewhat easier but that doesnʼt mean he could leave his position and help the young cultivators and on the other side, the young cultivators were having a hard time and were barely manage to defend themselves from the attacks of the 100 mutated demon servants with level 5 demon general cultivation.

”Shall we play for some more time or end it already?”

”Since the chief had already died and there is no one left to control us, so of course we can play as much as we want with them,”

If they want, those mutated demon servants could kill the nine young cultivators and justice; however, they finally gained freedom with the death of the demon chief and they want to enjoy torturing these young cultivators even more.

”So, what are we waiting for, letʼs enjoy to our heartʼs content,” soon those mutated demon generals came to a conclusion and started torturing the young cultivators, who looked very exhausted from continuously fighting the demons for a while now.

ʼDamn it, this is all because of carelessness,ʼ Edmond glanced at those young cultivators and looking at them made his heartache and thought, ʼI should stop holding back. Come o….,ʼ

ʼSwooshʼ ʼSwooshʼ

ʼPuchiʼ ʼPuchiʼ

Just as he was about to use his final trump card to save his adopted children, Edmond saw a group of familiar silhouettes appear in front of those mutated demon servants and killed a dozen of them in a fraction of seconds.

ʼThud thudʼ

The heads of those mutated demon servants rolled in the air and their bodies fell to the ground with a ʼthudʼ sound.

”Big brother, focus on your fight. I will take care of these mutated demon servants,” A lady in her early thirties looked at Edmond and gave him an assurance that she would protect his adopted children.

”Thanks, Blood rose,” Edmond nodded his head before continuing his fight with the elite demon generals.

The newcomers were none other than Blood rose and her mercenary squad members. The moment she received the blue-coloured paper crane, Blood rose was very anxious and rushed towards this direction at her fastest speed.

ʼSigh...why donʼt you call me a little sister like you used to call in the past before that event,ʼ When she heard Edmondʼs way of addressing her, she felt a little sad; however, she shook her head and continued killing the mutated demon servants with her long whip.

ʼWhipʼ

ʼAarghʼ

Every time, she whipped, more than a couple of demon servants were killed and along with her squad, she continued a massacre on the 100 mutated demon servants.

...…

”Finally, I can see the first batch of the demon army,”

While everyone was fighting the second batch of the demon army, Ajax had finally caught up with the first batch of the demon army.

”What the heck!” At the same?time, Ajax had noticed another problem and contacted the system, ”System, how long it will take for the demon army to exit the cursed wilderness.”

Since he was on Twilightʼs back, he could see the exit of the cursed wilderness. So, he immediately asked the system to calculate the time for the demon army to exit the cursed wilderness.
