New Age Of Summoners

467 Using ʼAbsolute darknessʼ

Both Edmond and Udo were shocked to see the demon servant cry in pain while rolling on the ground, clutching onto his head with both of his hands.

While thinking that, they looked at Ajax as he was the one who mentioned that he had a plan to save the King killer.

ʼHaha...ʼ

When they looked at him, Ajax smiled at them with a slight smile on his face and moved towards the mutated demon servant.

”Ajax, how did you do it?” Edmond hurriedly moved towards the King killer, who was still in the middle of his awakening just like the other eight remaining young cultivators.

Only after he checked that the King killer was fine, Edmond asked Ajax on how he did that.

...

A few moments before Edmond and Udo open their eyes,

ʼNow, I am within the range,ʼ Ajax roughly gauged the distance between him and the mutated demon servant who was holding the King killer as a hostage and that this was enough distance to use his skill.

After reaching the range, he looked at Edmond and Udo, who started their acting by doing some mysterious symbols with their hands.

Next, he looked at the demon servant, who raised his brows looking at the actions of Edmond and Udo.

When he was looking at them, he unconsciously loosened the grip on the King killer which made Ajaxʼs eyes shine with bright light.

ʼThis is it,ʼ Ajax didnʼt waste any time when he saw the dagger in the demon servantʼs hands was moved a little distance away from the King killerʼs neck and silently shouted in his head, ʼAbsolute darkness.ʼ

As soon as he thought that, the small black light beam entered into the demon servantʼs head within a few seconds.

Without the knowledge of the black light beam that entered into his body, the demon servant looked at his surroundings for a second before the dagger in his hands fell down to the ground and next, he fell down along with it and started rolling on the ground while clutching his head and howled in pain.

Edmond and Udo immediately stopped their acting and opened their eyes when they heard the painful shouts and were puzzled.

.....

”So, this is what happened earlier, Captain Edmond,” Ajax explained to both Edmond and Udo about what he had done without hiding anything. He even said about his skill ʼAbsolute darknessʼ.

”What?”

Edmond and Udo were shocked at Ajaxʼs other mysterious skill; however, the shock was dominated by their anger towards Ajax.

”You should have used that skill already...Sigh. Then we would have not gone through all of this,”

Nevertheless, Edmond suppressed his anger and sighed at Ajaxʼs late use of that mysterious skill.

ʼ...ʼ

Both Edmond and Udo were speechless before they started laughing at Ajaxʼs words.

”Actually, it is my plan to maintain the nonchalant expression on my face, so that the demon servant will not dare to ask for some high-level things from us; however, it is a failure,” Edmond embarrassedly explained his plan which ended up as a failure before he could take it to the next level.

ʼAarghʼ

ʼAnyone help meʼ

After that, everyone gathered around the demon servant that was howling in pain.

”What do you want to do with him, Ajax,” Edmond asked Ajax, seeing at the demon servant that made him anxious until earlier.

”I just want him to suffer a little more and then I will kill him,” Ajax replied without any mercy in his words.

According to him, this mutated demon was very cunning and almost made everyone worried for a while. So, he wanted him to suffer from some nightmares before killing him.

In general, the mutated demon servant would have easily escaped from the skill ʼAbsolute darknessʼ with his cultivation level which was a peak elite commander realm and only one step away from reaching the general realm.

Moreover, he was a mutated one that had more resistance than many other common demon servants.

However, he was already affected by the side-effects of the rage potion which made him fully vulnerable to the effects of the skill ʼAbsolute darknessʼ.

ʼAarghʼ

ʼAarghʼ

The mutated demon servant shouted for a while before his eyes lost all the life from them and the resounding painful noises were finally calmed down.

ʼDing,

The host killed a mutated peak elite commander realm demon servant.

Gained 0 units of the essence of nature.

ʼDing,

Since the demon servant that the host killed is a mutated one, the target is increased by a count of 5 demon servants.

As soon as the mutated demon servant died, as usual, Ajax got a couple of system notifications.

Although the first system notification was a common one, the second notification made him raise his brows.

However, Ajax didnʼt bother to check it as he knew Edmond and others were looking at him. So, he randomly talked about something.

Nevertheless, without much information from the system, Ajax assumed that this mutated demon servant that he killed just now was equal to five normal demon servants according to the system.

”So, what shall we do now?”

After talking for a few minutes, Ajax asked Edmond about their next plan while looking at his surroundings.

Around him, all the nine young cultivators remained in a motionless position as they were awakening something.

The demon servant was still rolling on the ground with painful cries while the demon army almost crossed them when they were making a deal with the mutated demon servant.

So, Ajax asked whether they should stop the demon army from exiting the cursed wilderness or wait until the nine young cultivators wake up from their awakening.

ʼHmm,ʼ Edmond thought for a moment before looking at the mutated demon servant and the demon army that was at a distance from them, then said, ʼLetʼs wait until they finish their awakening process.ʼ

Although stopping the demon army was important; whatʼs more important for Edmond was to protect his adopted children from the next batch of the demons which might come in any moment now.

So, he stopped everyone from moving away from their position and asked all of them to protect the nine young cultivators.

”Okay,”

Ajax and Udo nodded their heads in agreement with Edmondʼs words before Ajax walked towards the three cultivators that were selected by the Barbarian earlier.

Everyone one moved back to their positions and relaxed as there was no sign of any demonic army from the portal.

ʼSystem, show the progress for the second target of the bonus mission,ʼ

Ajax sat near to the Dark flame along with Justice before asking the system to show his progress on the bonus mission.

When he killed the mutated demon servant, he got a notification saying that his target count had been increased by 5. So, he wanted to check how many demon servants he had to kill before completing the target.

ʼDing,
