Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 908: Chapter 387: Undying Sacred Fire (Part 3)

Through these days of healing experiences in the slum, Erin’s understanding of herself and her abilities has significantly improved.

In the Peaceful Town plane, during her time in Ogre’s Royal City, she often toured various parts of the city, helping the underprivileged who needed assistance.

But at that time, she was after all a Saintess, and her movements were somewhat restricted, preventing her from seeing the truly dark parts of the world.

In a way, throughout her journey, she has always been under some form of protection, never truly knowing what the world is really like.

Although she wouldn’t say something as ignorant as Emperor Hui of Jin’s ”Why not eat meat porridge,” or Queen Mary’s ”If they can’t afford bread, why don’t they eat cake,” she did say things like, ”Go see a doctor when sick,” or ”Seek help from the Church when in trouble.”

Due to her limited perspective, her understanding of the world was shallow; to put it nicely, she was naive; bluntly put, she believed that ”goods would just appear on the shelf by themselves.”

Without fully grasping the rules and order by which the world operates, how could she comprehend the ability to control the world’s rules and order?

Precisely because of this, her understanding of Principal Angels’ abilities has always been at an impasse.

However, with this recent experience, as she continuously interacted with and communicated with the lowest class of people, she began to understand that some truly have nothing, and many things she took for granted are as unreachable as the sky for them.

She started to understand the basic rules of social operation, and through the rules of human social operation, she sensed the steam rules hovering over Grimgland.

By leveraging the steam rules of the plane, she saw the Principal Angels’ ability to control the running of world order, and based on mastering the Principal Angels’ abilities, she touched the Undying Sacred Fire.

Now, Erin already possesses the genuine power of a Principal Angel, reaching the pinnacle of a lower-level god.

Outside of the Divine Kingdom, she still needs to be cautious of Plane Rules and restrain herself.

But within the Divine Kingdom, for roles like Executioner, she can manipulate them at will.

For such non-human lifeforms as the Executioner, she had no pressure taking action.

Just when Erin worried that the sound of an explosion might disturb the rest of the people in the slum, considering whether to directly deal with the Executioner, she suddenly sensed something, and paused her hand.

Right before flames erupted from the Executioner’s gun barrel, a voice like a thunderbolt descended from the sky.

”Man!”

Wu Chang descended from high above, using his Power value, his elbow like a sharp axe, cleaving through the ice mountain half-melted by the impact of the steam rules, landing straight on the Executioner’s face.

The Executioner staggered, not understanding why he, who had already transformed into a mechanical lifeform, would still feel dizzy after being elbowed in the head, but he definitely felt dizzy.

Not only was he dizzy, but his entire person, empowered by an elbow backed by over three hundred points of Power, was sent flying, shattering through the ice mountain, rolling dozens of meters across the ground, with the shot prepared to fire in his dazed state naturally dissipating.

Wu Chang retracted his elbow, turning his head to Cold Mountain and Sword Star, saying: ”Good thing I made it in time.”

Cold Mountain reminded him: ”Be very careful, that guy is not an ordinary Steam Councilor.”

Although Cold Mountain had heard that Peace once repelled Joy after it descended to the Desolate Realm, it was after all just hearsay, without any firsthand witnessing.

No one knew how much strength Joy preserved after descending to the Desolate Realm under the rules suppression of the Desolate Realm.

He didn’t see Joy’s descent but did witness the S-Level almost out-of-control dungeon Executioner, who with a casual shot could kill over ten top Desolate Realm Players and dozens of dungeon native Transcendents.

Such destructiveness could not even be accomplished by Players returning to the Desolate Realm from the Realm of Reason, whilst maxing out against the Pillar of the Present World.

Moreover, the Steam Phantom is still the Executioner’s home ground, so even Peace could possibly face failure if careless.

Wu Chang nodded, his gaze returning to the Executioner, filled with excitement.

On the Executioner’s body, he rarely saw Blood-Colored Wills, deep red Blood-Colored Wills.

Upon entering the Steam Phantom Dungeon, the grudges he saw mostly came from small fry, providing only intelligence, finally seeing something beneficial this time.

The Executioner, having killed over a hundred Transcendents on Bai She Avenue, left behind only a dozen or so grudges, none of which reached bright red, whether it was because those Transcendents died too quickly or due to Plane Rules’ influence.

The only two Blood-Colored Will-grade deep red grudges on the Executioner didn’t come from Bai She Avenue.

The owners of the two grudges, one person named Jack of All Trades, was killed by the Executioner while hunting Transcendents.

The other one Wu Chang recognized was the Gun God, who used Demon-Breaking Bullet to assassinate Nestor and Ma Jia’s clone.

Because of him, Wu Chang brought people tonight to sweep the Conservative Party’s top echelon, turning them all into Sunny Day Dolls. When looking for the Gun God, he didn’t find him, assuming he escaped, but unexpectedly he had just played the role of Hunter, taken out Nestor and Ma Jia’s clone, only to turn around and become prey to the Executioner.

The grudges left by both had very pure Blood-Colored Wills, both asking for the same thing: [Take down the Executioner, avenge me.]

He liked such pure Players, whose grudges were simply about revenge, not those flashy things.

The negative example was his cousin Schultz, who left a Blood-Colored Will, but Wu Chang still hasn’t figured out how to fulfill that will.

Setting aside the revenge grudges of those two, Wu Chang quickly reviewed their grudges and discovered their commonalities.

Both of their abilities aligned with the steam rules, unaffected by the steam rules, enabling them to unleash their full potential.

This was their advantage, but also the reason they became targeted by the Executioner.

Through fusing with Jack of All Trades, the Executioner transformed from a half-human, half-mechanical cyborg into a pure mechanical lifeform.

By integrating with the Gun God’s arm, he also inherited the Gun God’s ability to materialize a gun from his body.

With Cold Mountain and Sword Star’s subsequent reminder, he also saw the Demon-Breaking Steam Press core embedded in the Executioner’s face.

This trio’s combination, along with the steam rules, formed a weapon against Transcendents, no wonder it could perform a one-click sweep on Bai She Avenue, effortlessly finish off over a hundred Transcendents.

He declined Cold Mountain and Sword Star’s offer to help, striding towards the Executioner.

Jack of All Trades and Gun God’s abilities were not bad, and he wanted them.
