Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 774: Chapter 343: The Rumors About Hymn Company Are Not Just Rumors

The light swept away the dark clouds, and Erin slowly descended with her wings under the setting sun, landing on the top floor of Hymn Company.

At this moment, the eyes of the whole world were focused on her.

This was Erin’s first appearance in front of the camera, but no introduction was needed; everyone guessed her identity at this moment.

Hymn Company’s greatest masterpiece, a new type of artificial deity, Eternal Pure Light, Erin.

Having experienced scenes akin to a prior apocalypse, compared to the current spectacle, no one would doubt the success of Hymn Company’s artificial deity project.

The voices of doubt vanished like smoke the instant Erin appeared.

In front of cameras worldwide, Erin first opened her arms, scattering thousands of light spots from her embrace.

The light spots fell like rain, calming people’s emotions while healing the injuries they had just incurred in the chaos.

Whether it was injuries from trampling in the crowd or wounds from being knocked down by the fierce wind, all healed rapidly in the light, prompting continuous shouts of ”miracle.”

After scattering the light, Erin’s four wings flapped, and her body shot into the sky, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

The departure of the deity drove the media below into a frenzy.

They surged towards Hymn Company, shouting at the staff:

”Let us see Eternal Pure Light again.”

”Just one look, one look, and we’ll do anything.”

...

Some were sincere, some driven by traffic and hype, but either way, it proved the success of this promotion.

But no matter how the media pleaded, the security of Hymn Company steadfastly guarded the company’s gates and refused to provide any assistance.

Though Wu Chang had prepared an identity for Erin as the new generation of artificial deity, he had never intended for Erin to appear as some synthetic object, visible in close proximity to the public.

Distance creates beauty; a powerful and mysterious deity is always better than a technological creation that anyone can see up close.

On the top floor of Hymn Company, Wu Chang glanced at the large tree beside him, which grew into a Pillar of the Divine Kingdom, and stepped down from the temporary altar with satisfaction.

Creating the previous realistic apocalyptic scene was not difficult for him.

Simply using the method of urging clouds to rain, combined with the Condensing Void into Reality projection of a yellow monster, easily intimidated the mortals below.

Having often harvested faith, creating supernatural illusions had become second nature.

Returning to his desk, he was just about to welcome Erin back when he saw a message from his secretary on the computer.

The company’s ninth-level partners and eighth-level department managers were all requesting a meeting with Wu Chang.

Erin’s arrival left not only the global audience stunned but also bewildered those who were ”in the know.”

The Hymn of Light plan was supposed to be the new chairman’s PowerPoint folder to stabilize the company’s status and framework, wasn’t it?

Everyone was prepared for how to embellish things at the upcoming press conference; how did it become a reality?

Comparing accounts among department leaders, they found that none had ever received the chairman’s research proposal or collaborated on any phase of the development.

The core of the Hymn of Light plan still lay with the news department.

The company’s executives were instantly paralyzed by this; could the world-ending Disqualified Monster outside and the suddenly appearing artificial deity have been conjured by the chairman alone?

Previous chairman Schultz also came up with staggering inventions but required their help to turn plans into reality.

But Chairman Sean just handled everything alone, bypassing everyone.

At this rate, won’t the company need only the news department while other executives become expendable?

Thinking about their future, the executives couldn’t sit still.

Wu Chang knew they were anxious, but anxiety was useless; it was already the scheduled time for the press conference.

Just the right opportunity to let them flounder a bit, instilling enough sense of crisis to show that without good performance, they could be replaced at any moment.

When they are eager to showcase their value, He Yun’s takeover of Hymn Company will also become much easier.

Thus, with their hearts in disarray, the executives mustered the courage and stepped into the press conference venue.

Compared to the media constantly asking questions below, the questions in their hearts were even greater. ℯℯ𝘭.

Fortunately, Wu Chang was in control to ensure the press conference proceeded smoothly.

In the press conference, the media had only one question.

That was the Hymn of Light plan.

What exactly was Erin’s existence, whether it was a more advanced weapon, and to what extent the Hymn of Light plan had progressed.

In facing this question, Wu Chang was fully prepared.

In the replica plane, there were many conspiracy theories about Hymn Company’s sudden rise.

Among them, the most widely spread was the alien speculation.

People suspected that Hymn Company was invited by the Federation Government to research an alien ship hidden in a secret base in Area 53.

Some even suspected that Hymn Company bypassed the Federation Government, finding an alien ship on their own, with former chairman Schultz even being an alien.

To this, the first thing Wu Chang said was, ”Let me clarify something, the rumor that Hymn Company acquired an alien ship is not just a rumor.”

”Aliens truly exist. All this time, we’ve been worried that this information might cause public panic, so we kept it hidden.”

”But as everyone has witnessed just now, doomsday is looming; the truth can’t be concealed any longer, and I must reveal it to you all.”

Pausing, Wu Chang gestured behind him, beckoning Erin to walk out from a special passage slowly.

”The so-called artificial deity plan is merely a way for everyone to accept the truth more easily. In reality, the miss Erin who appeared just now is a deity from the Divine Kingdom of Light in the M87 nebula.”
