Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 769: Chapter 341: He Yun’s Artificial God_2

He Yun joked, ”I’m afraid someone might regret it afterward and sneak away while I’m not awake.”

Wu Chang strengthened his embrace, as if to indicate his attitude, and said:

”How could that be possible? My biggest characteristics are that I never regret and I’m greedy enough that once something becomes mine, making me give it up would be like asking for my life.”

He Yun laughed, ”I don’t mind your greed.”

While the two talked, a faint tremor came from the ground, as if something had landed outside.

In less than a minute, heavy footsteps could be heard in the corridor outside, and soon after, He Yi opened the lab door and said:

”Awesome! Xiaoyun, your improved new mecha is just amazing to pilot! Operating it in combat feels better than fighting with my own body!”

After He Yi finished speaking, he noticed another person in the lab and immediately pulled Wu Chang outside.

”You’re just in time, those scraps outside are too weak, not satisfying to fight against, only you can spar with me.”

Wu Chang hesitated, ”Isn’t this inappropriate? He Yun and I have important things to discuss.”

He Yun looked down at the computer screen and said, ”If you’re not in a hurry to leave, feel free to go play with him.”

”The mecha improvement uses technology from your cousin’s research, but I don’t know how effective it is.”

He Yi said, ”See, Xiaoyun’s already given his word, come on.”

”Alright then.” Wu Chang half-heartedly followed He Yi outside.

Despite the hesitation on his face, a smile was already struggling to be suppressed at the corners of his mouth.

The current him was different from before, no longer the pushover He Yi could easily handle.

Not only had his physical attributes significantly increased, but his fighting techniques had also reached a master level; he couldn’t believe he would still be treated as a punching bag by He Yi.

Following He Yi outside, when he saw He Yi donning the mecha and completing the startup, he immediately forgot about any sparring or revenge.

Because the improved mecha before his eyes was improved to an exaggerated degree.

In the Underground Shelter plane, mechas are not large, drivable robots like in low-standard or 1VA worldviews, but more like wearable powered exoskeletons.

Operating the mecha simply makes the operator stronger, faster, and more powerful in firepower.

Compared to the machine itself, more emphasis is placed on the operator’s skill.

Now, after He Yun’s improvements, the Underground Shelter’s mecha has evolved from a simple exoskeleton to the prototype of a small robot.

After the local mecha is worn by a pilot, the overall height is usually around two and a half meters, and He Yi’s mecha is slightly larger, reaching three meters high.

But now He Yi’s mecha stands at four and a half meters tall, shifting from a segmented wearing mode to an integral cockpit.

The driving mode also changed from being primarily human-controlled with mecha support to the pilot purely maneuvering the mecha.

If it were just changes in the size of the mecha and driving mode, it wouldn’t have surprised Wu Chang.

Such changes in purely technological direction wouldn’t provide much enhancement to the machine, but rather lose the original characteristics of the pilot.

Combined with the original worldview, it wasn’t necessarily a positive enhancement.

However, what truly surprised Wu Chang was that when He Yi entered the cockpit and started the mecha, in his perception, He Yi and the mecha became one whole, or rather, the mecha became a living being.

If he closed his eyes and used Inspiration Perception, standing in front of him was a four and a half meter tall giant.

The source of this human-machine integration effect stemmed from divinity.

Wu Chang was very familiar with the divine aura in the mecha, which was very similar to Essence Armor, yet different.

No matter the difference between the two, the divinity within it really was genuine, even more abundant than the divinity in Essence Armor.

In terms of divinity concentration, He Yi’s mecha is comparable to Farrell’s embodiment of the Fly King, approaching demigod levels.

”So, how different is my modification from the original?” He Yun’s voice came from behind Wu Chang.

Wu Chang swallowed, turned to look at He Yun, and shook his head.

He Yun smiled, not taking it to heart, and said:

”Because it incorporates technology from over four different systems, I’m just beginning to explore, and the integration isn’t spot-on yet; there’s plenty of room for improvement, so not meeting the standard is normal.”

”This is only a semi-finished product for now. When I visit the plane where your cousin is, and fully integrate the four types of technology, there will be a qualitative change by then.”

Wu Chang’s cheeks twitched, his voice slightly hoarse as he said:

”When I shook my head, I didn’t mean to say it wasn’t up to standard, but to say that it’s no longer different from the Essence Armor my cousin designed, perhaps even surpassing it.”

What a joke, just a semi-finished product in the exploratory phase already has such strength, and according to He Yun, there could be qualitative changes later.

At this rate, the complete mecha in He Yun’s mind is not matched against Essence Armor but ought to align with the Artificial God in the Praise Poem project.

At this moment, he once again experienced the contrasts between people.

Previously, in his view, Schultz was synonymous with genius from a young age, with knowledge reserves in his mind comparable to a library, aided by the All-Knowing Crystal.

Whether it’s physics, chemistry, biology, electronics, and other subjects, they all seamlessly come together, even leading to the development of Essence Armor condensed with divine essence in human form and the Disqualified Monster.

No matter which plane he visited, with the full system knowledge in his mind, he could easily reconstruct the entire technology tree from scratch.

In Wu Chang’s perspective, Schultz already seemed to be the peak intelligence of the Desolate Realm.
