Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 770: Chapter 341: He Yun’s Artificial God (Part 3)

In contrast, his impression of He Yun is that of the ”small-town inventor” of the Underground Shelter.

He’s someone who takes unconventional paths, tinkers with mechas, is bold, has whimsical ideas, and can conceive ways to fuse technology and mysticism.

He possesses some Talent, but is limited by a small stage, making it hard to fully utilize.

Handing Schultz’s research to He Yun wasn’t done with the expectation that He Yun could actually derive anything substantial from it; it was more about repurposing these studies.

Learning even a little is profit; learning nothing isn’t a loss if treated as a gift.

But unexpectedly, He Yun managed to achieve what Schultz spent his entire life researching—the extraction of Divinity—in less than a month.

He Yun’s bit of Talent seems more like a huge amount of Talent.

Compared to her, Schultz—through Spiritual Power Activation Surgery to develop the Talent area—actually becomes more of a diligent type.

Wu Chang couldn’t help but marvel, saying the Abyss is full of hidden talents; there’s no greatest genius, only greater genius.

Many people just need an opportunity, and if they can access the right path, they can leap like a carp jumping through the dragon gate.

If it weren’t for his help, He Yun would merely be an inventor in the Underground Shelter, easily manipulated by Mercury and Desire Mother Goddess.

But now, with He Yun mastering the method to condense Divinity, if she really manages to create a Hymn Level mecha, it won’t be long before she pins Mercury to the ground.

”How did you do it?”

He Yun explained with an extremely calm reporting tone:

”Technically, speaking, I’m still a bit behind your cousin; I’ve mastered only 80% of his research.”

”But your cousin is overly obsessed with extracting so-called Divinity from humanity, for reasons I can’t fathom.”

Wu Chang answered:

”Because my cousin is a staunch atheist, he wants to prove that humans can by themselves wield the Power of God.”

”The world he’s in seems to face some massive disaster, and only the Divine Power can possibly contend against it.”

”He wants to use humanity as a common link to unite all people worldwide, letting everyone combine into one body, all possessing the Divine Power, to weather the crisis.”

He Yun furrowed her brow slightly, pondered briefly, and said:

”Looking at it from this perspective, his path is challenging, yet once successful, it would be a one-time job.”

”However, if he merely wants to rid himself of God while still possessing Divine Power, there are actually many simpler ways. To not rely on God doesn’t necessarily require a departure from God.”

Wu Chang blinked and said:

”Could you explain it in a more understandable way?”

He Yun pointed to He Yi’s mecha, explaining the method she adopted to Wu Chang.

In her view, the essence of God is mastering the conversion of Power of Faith into Divine Power.

Whoever possesses this ability is God.

The key to conversion lies in the initial Divine Seed; as long as one possesses the first hint of Divinity internally, interacting with the Power of Faith thereafter will allow the Divine Seed to automatically complete the conversion.

The God’s method of condensing the Divine Seed is through observing world Rules and seeking answers from the world.

Schultz’s chosen path was not to the outside world but to the human essence.

The root of Divinity is Power of Faith, which comes from humans.

He attempted to condense the Divine Seed through humanity—if successful, he would not need Power of Faith as the middleman, directly using humanity to connect everyone and draw from human thoughts the parts that can transform into Divinity.

Thus, humans wouldn’t need to worship and contribute the Power of Faith submissively; standing, they’d possess Divine Power.

This approach involves directly modifying the generation chain of intelligent life—Power of Faith—God—Divine Power.

This path is highly difficult, risky, provides low rewards, and has extreme uncertainties.

Yet looking from another angle, Schultz aimed not at cutting off Power of Faith; he wanted to get rid of God as the middleman.

He Yun’s approach was simply to take direct action against God.

The role of God is transforming Power of Faith into Divine Power.

Thus, she uses Technology Mysticism along with Schultz’s various studies on condensing Divinity and transforms Power of Faith directly using technology-mysticism devices she created.

This method does not alter the original Divine Power generation chain; it retains process stability, merely eliminating the existence of God.

Alternatively, turning God into He Yun’s version of Artificial God can similarly achieve independence from God, standing and synthesizing Divine Power.

From a certain perspective, He Yun’s plan aligns even more with the name Artificial God compared to the Praise Poem Plan.

As for Schultz’s other objective, leading all humanity to survive the apocalypse, He Yun is quite familiar with this part.

As long as industrial synthesis of Divinity is mastered and the impending apocalypse is known in advance, then gathering worldwide forces to construct a large underground world becomes feasible.

After He Yun’s explanation, Wu Chang had some understanding of her method of condensing Divine Power.

Her approach indeed seems to avoid many uncertain detours, making it simpler and more efficient.

Why didn’t Schultz think of such a simple method?

Quite simple, it’s not that Schultz didn’t think of it, but the critical point of He Yun’s process lies in the Technology Mysticism she invented.

A technology transforming Power of Faith directly into energy using Underground Shelter technology.

Looking back now, this ability has already been considered the power only a God would possess from a certain angle.

This supposedly easy technology by He Yun might be much harder than Schultz’s attempt to condense Divinity from humanity.

Understanding the key points, Wu Chang exclaimed:

”Earlier you mentioned that the Power of Faith from then Desire Stele isn’t enough. You want to obtain more Power of Faith. The shortage isn’t just for purifying the surface; it’s also for condensing Divine Power, right?”

It seems He Yun merely wants to use Erin as a Totem to condense the Power of Faith from the plane, but she doesn’t plan to transfer the plane’s Power of Faith to Erin; instead, she intends to intercept it, directly converting it into Divine Power.

No wonder she actively invited Erin into the Underground Shelter, and Erin not only wasn’t displeased but felt a bit guilty and embarrassed.

Turns out it was through acknowledging Erin’s presence that she exchanged for the plane’s Power of Faith from Erin.

He Yun showed no awkwardness on her face and said:

”I originally hadn’t planned on hiding it from you; it’s just that the experimental unit is only one and a half, and I had to wait for my brother to return before explaining to you properly.”

Wu Chang raised an eyebrow, keenly spotting something, asking, ”One and a half, what about half a unit is that referring to?”

He Yun said, ”Didn’t I promise to make you a customized mecha before? It was almost complete, but now that I’ve received new technology, I’m modifying it.”

Wu Chang gave He Yun a deep kiss; isn’t it just a plane’s Power of Faith, here! If it’s not enough, he can transfer from other planes again.

Which man could reject a super mecha possessing Divinity?
