Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 752: Chapter 335: Proof of Heroism_3

”I knew you would choose it; in the Desolate Realm, no one is more suited to use it than you. I have a premonition that it will exert unprecedented effects in your hands.”

Wu Chang shrugged. He could sense that this person was holding back laughter; the Management Bureau seemed quite pleased with his choice.

But it didn’t matter. Compared to Hou Jingchuan’s reaction, he trusted his own intuition more.

”Let’s hope so.”

Ownership transfer complete, as Hou Jingchuan opened the cabinet, liquid flames surged toward him, swirling around his wrist and transforming into a golden-red bracelet.

Item Name: Proof of Heroism

Item Type: Consumable

Artifact Level: A

Item Skills: Unyielding

Note: This item can only be used in the Desolate Realm, and the user’s level must not exceed Level 30.

Skill Description: When Proof of Heroism is activated, you lose 1 point of maximum Life Value per second. This effect cannot be reversed by skills or items until the instance ends or you enter the next instance. During the duration of Unyielding, you will not be controlled, tireless, ignoring any restraints, reaching your best state.

Item Skills: Reversal of Desperate Situation

Skill Description: Burn all current Body Attributes, locking attributes other than Inspiration and Will to 1 point. All burned attributes will condense into a Reversal of Desperate Situation strike. After releasing the attack, the Unyielding status automatically ends.

Skill Notes: In the most dangerous desperate situation, you can still become the key to reversing everything; this is the so-called heroic moment.

Looking at the golden-red bracelet in his hand, Wu Chang’s mind temporarily went blank.

Hou Jingchuan was right; this thing was indeed most suitable for him to use.

A hero usually refers to someone who can accomplish feats unattainable by ordinary people.

Just as the item name expresses, Proof of Heroism, unlike other consumable items, has clear usage restrictions: it can only be used in the Desolate Realm, and the user level cannot exceed Level 30.

For the vast majority of players, whether the restriction is Level 30 or the Desolate Realm, it means they can’t access Divinity, and the user will definitely be mortal.

This point nails down its upper limit.

Because no matter how many statuses are given to mortals, it’s hard to erase the gap in Divinity; mortals cannot harm Gods, and this is almost an accepted rule.

But Wu Chang is an exception; he has the title of Blasphemer and the Divine Thunder specializing in restraining Gods. Here, the upper limit of Proof of Heroism is infinitely elevated.

If Proof of Heroism has no hidden upper limit, then looking at its two skills again becomes extraordinarily powerful.

First is Unyielding, which burns 1 point of maximum Life Value per second, and the burned Life Value cannot be reversed within the instance.

For ordinary max-level players, this restriction makes the effect of Unyielding quite awkward.

If it’s a tank-type player with strengthened Life Attributes, they can indeed last long enough, but adding tank points inevitably results in a lack of damage. On tank-type players, the effects of being uncontrollable, tireless, and reaching the best state cannot be converted into Attack Power.

On aggressive players, their bodies are already fragile, with not much added Strength; the Unyielding duration is short, not to mention the continuous burning of maximum Life Value, easily resulting in sudden deaths under area damage.

But Wu Chang’s True Self Sea Giant transformation perfectly accounts for both situations.

After devouring the Source of the Deep Sea, upon entering the Sea Giant transformation, both Strength and Life Attributes can be amplified simultaneously. Additionally, the Sea Giant’s Talent Skill, Body of Strength, can provide temporary Life Value equivalent to the current Strength Attribute.

Immense Life Value, combined with the Titan title, allows him to maintain endurance without compromising toughness.

The positive effects of the Unyielding status, coupled with the powerful Strength of the Sea Giant transformation—even if facing a nation alone—as long as Unyielding hasn’t ended, he can turn the instance into a mowing game.

As for the second skill, Reversal of Desperate Situation, it seems tailor-made for him, more fitting than Unyielding.

Burn all Body Attributes, condense into a Reversal of Desperate Situation strike.

The strong physique cultivated with his effort and sweat, excluding Inspiration and Will, adds up to 565 points.

If counting the bonus from being a Master of Breaking the Game and the amplification from Sea Giant transformation, this value will surpass a thousand.

Wu Chang does not know what effect a strike transformed from over a thousand attributes burning can achieve; he only knows that at this moment, he is not concerned that any desperate situation cannot be reversed with this strike. He only worries that the desperation is not desperate enough, preventing him from fully showcasing his heroic moment.

Just looking at this skill, he is already contemplating his MVP settlement animation.

He repeatedly confirmed the two skills, understanding why Hou Jingchuan nearly laughed when he chose previously.

If Proof of Heroism is handed to another player to use, being able to exert the effect of a B-Level consumable item would already count as a solid foundation for the user.

With two core members of the Management Bureau, one using the Wooden Carving of Martial Star Monarch, and the other using Proof of Heroism, if Martial Star Monarch is summoned, it might only need 1 second to kill, with the remaining 29 seconds spent in idleness.

But in Wu Chang’s hands, never mind the Wooden Carving of Martial Star Monarch—even an S-Level consumable item wouldn’t be as effective.

Hou Jingchuan, having completed the paperwork, walked up to Wu Chang and asked somewhat guiltily:

”How is it, are you satisfied with it? If not, as my personal decision, I can let you choose again.”

Wu Chang raised an eyebrow, thinking Hou Jingchuan was quite considerate, and immediately said, ”No need to change; it’s very suitable for me.”

Acquiring Proof of Heroism not only perfectly compensated for the missing trump card after consuming the Wooden Carving of Martial Star Monarch but also strengthened his trump card compared to before. ℯ

He stroked the red-gold bracelet on his wrist, recalling the Abyss Game Administrator’s targeting of him, and couldn’t help but laugh.

When he uses the Reversal of Desperate Situation, he will let the administrator know that what is strong is not the cheat but his own strength!

He successfully received the remaining payment from Hou Jingchuan, and next, he was to set out for the Underground Shelter to scout the situation in advance.

Then, to take a look at the Realm of Reason, wondering if Xu Dejun could still hold on there.
