Death… And Me

Chapter 3548: Testing it Out... and Revenge

Rean laughed. He obviously knew what Elsie was angry about. It’s just that he couldn’t help but tease her. ”Hahaha! Okay, okay, we will stop. Now then, Roan, how about we test it out?”

Roan wasn’t kidding before, but he didn’t care. He just nodded, standing up and taking his White Star Scythe out. ”There is one disadvantage with the Intent Weapon. Your White Star Scythe could also gather Light Element on its own, but the Intent Weapon can’t do it.”

Rean was aware of that. ”There is also the Spatial Power imbued in our Black and White Star Weapons. But this point won’t be that different since we can focus our Spatial Powers on the Intent Weapons.”

”Anyway,” Rean made a few slashing movements with his Elemental Intent Sword, ”come at me. Hold nothing back. Let us see if an Intent Weapon is really capable of matching my forged weapons.”

*Zush!*

Roan didn’t need to hear twice. He activated Rean’s Enhancement Skill, fueled his White Star Scythe with Dark Red Lightning and Light Element, as well as Sky Energy and the Fifth Level of Scythe Intent. The Sixth wouldn’t work on his Physical Scythe, but the fifth was still good to go. Naturally, Sky Energy was circulating as well. Everything he could use in that strike, he used.

’Death Style, Red Death Scythe!’

Rean’s eyes lit up, and he shot in Roan’s direction. He used everything Roan did, except for the Fifth Stage of Sword Intent, since he was using the Sixth, and one other thing...

’Red Life, Lightning Slash!’

’Red Life, Enhancement!’

After learning his fusion of Light Element and Red Lightning, he had renamed his skills with Red Life Style, but in the end, he simply excluded the style from the name. As the Lightning Slash...

*SWISH!*

Both Rean’s body and Intent Sword sparked with a Bright Red Lightning. His speed surpassed his previous limit, and he could be said to be faster than Roan now. A slash followed, which looked more like an instant red lightning bolt moving horizontally. Even space contorted due to the sheer power of that movement, and causing such a reaction in the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm was anything but easy.

The Elemental Intent Sword and the White Star Scythe collided... No, they didn’t collide. Rean’s Elemental Intent Sword passed right through Roan’s Scythe, aiming for his neck! As for the Scythe, a weapon Rean was proud of due to its durability and power, it was now cut in two!

*Zash!*

Roan dodged in the very last moment, not expecting the attack to cut his White Star Scythe so easily. At the same time, he noticed, Rean didn’t stop the attack on purpose!

I huge cut appeared on Roan’s neck, and the Bright Red Lightning caused havoc in the injury. The pain in his soul wasn’t any lower, as Rean was purposely using the Light Element in the attack to fight against Roan’s Dark Element.

Elsie’s eyes went wide. Did Rean just kill his brother? Why? She didn’t know there was such a feud between them. No, first of all, what kind of terrifying attack was that?!

Well, she underestimated the twins. Any other expert would have died instantly due to that. Roan, however, immediately controlled his Dark Element, Rean’s Light Element through their connection, and Sky Energy.

’Life Style, Purification!’

’Life Style, Instant Recovery!’

Roan used Rean’s own Light Element, getting rid of the Elemental properties of Rean’s attack while the Instant Recovery healed the injury on his neck, which had almost fallen off, back to normal. Then, he glared at Rean. ”You tried to cut my head off on purpose!”

”Ops!” Rean couldn’t be happier. ”How was the pain in the soul? Was it good? I told you I would get back at you! Hahaha!”

Rean obviously didn’t really try to kill Roan. First of all, as long as a single drop of blood remained, their bodies and souls could be rebuilt. It was just a payback for what Roan did to him back when Rean pretended to be an injured member of the Camazotz Bat Race.

Roan narrowed his eyes. He should have seen it coming. It’s just that he truly didn’t expect Rean’s Elemental Intent Weapon to cut the White Star Scythe in half. In fact, Rean himself hadn’t expected that. At first, Rean just wanted to test how much better the Intent Weapon was. But when he saw it cutting through Roan’s Weapon like a hot knife through butter, he immediately remembered what happened before, and took the chance to take revenge. It was that simple.

”So be it,” Roan didn’t dwell on that for long. Both of them know how difficulty it would be for them to kill each other, and they wouldn’t really do it anyway. ”Still, that new attack of yours...”

Rean heard that, and his smile went from ear to ear. ”Ha! I knew you would take notice of it! The Bright Red Lightning was just too destructive before, just like your Dark Red Lightning, so we couldn’t really use it to its limits inside our bodies.”

He continued, driving his Bright Red Lightning around for another moment. ”However, with our previous breakthrough into the Elemental Space Realm, it also increased our control over the elements. Now, with our bloodlines, soul, and cultivation, it is possible to do so. It’s just that...”

’Life Style, Instant Recovery!’

Rean then began to heal several internal injuries inside his body. ”The Red Lightning still can’t be used for a prolonged time inside our body. We aren’t Red Lightning Hawks, after all. After putting all those precautions in place, it still injured my body quite badly. Fighting with Red Lightning running through our meridians is quite painful, and nullifying the pain is out of the question since it would numb our sensitivity. However, ignoring those issues, the power gain is amazing!”

Roan closed his eyes for a moment and drove Rean’s Bright Red Lightning inside his body through their connection, following Rean’s memories of the usage of meridians.

’Red Life, Enhancement!’

Rean was correct, their body could resist the Red Lightning for an instant. If driven in the right way, their power increased considerably, although they definitely couldn’t keep it for more than a second or two.

’Life Style, Instant Recovery!’

Finally, Roan ended it and healed his body. ”It is a good technique, considering it was you who invented it.”

”The last part was unnecessary!” Rean complained.

Meanwhile, a dumbstruck Elsie watched all of that, feeling terrified. ’What kind of monsters are these?!’
