Death… And Me

Chapter 3523: We Will Do It!

How did all of this happen? To understand that, we need to go back a few hours prior to Rifindio’s sudden appearance at the Teleport Building.

Rean and the others had just arrived, and making use of the fact no one expected anything to happen, they made a move on two guards patrolling the city. Those targets were selected carefully, both of them having exactly the same cultivation as Rean and Roan.

Well, the twins were actually in the Sky Space Bending Realm, but others couldn’t tell it was different from the normal Space Bending Realm. It was necessary for the targets to have similar cultivations, as the Natural Spatial Perception wouldn’t allow the twins to approach the Camazotz Bats without others noticing.

Then, Rean was able to easily copy their identities and, through his Body Transformation Technique, their appearances to the smallest details. Rean and Roan read just the recent memories of those two, up to a few hours prior at most, so they wouldn’t really cause any damage to those guys’ souls.

After that, they joined back with Kentucky at the building. Kentucky was left there, waiting, just to see if there wasn’t anything wrong going on while the twins made their moves. Rean also went to another two places, leaving behind a few things. Only when everything was concluded did the twins allow Rifindio to make his appearance as a Camazotz Bat.

The investigations started, the guards went out, and the twins joined them as part of the ’guards and experts’ of the city. When the time came for their building, where they had rented a room, to be checked, the twins swiftly came back. Not long after, they left again with the other guards as if nothing had happened.

The investigation of such a big city would take at least a few hours, even with that huge number of experts looking for the impersonator. Now and then, the various guards went to the city center to report directly to Klocavan about their findings.

At some point, the time for the twins to go back and ’report’ what they found so far arrived. Well, even if that time hadn’t arrived, just having these two guards’ appearances would be enough for them to go there with some other excuse. Naturally, they followed the orders and arrived at the City Center. They waited for their time as Koclavan kept receiving various guards who were doing the same thing.

Koclavan didn’t need to do that by himself, but because of the urgency of the matter, he was taking everything. He couldn’t afford to let any detail escape, and he received the guards’ and experts’ reports one by one through Divine Sense, analyzing them all at once.

At that moment, a rune suddenly activated somewhere else in the city. That rune had some of Rifindio’s aura stored inside. It was very faint, and it was controlled by Rean, directing it straight at Griren. Griren noticed it and left to investigate.

Next, Rean controlled another rune, and this time, he targeted Laua. Seeing that, anyone would think the enemy was trying to separate the Camazotz Bats. Thus, most of the Divine Senses focused on those two. After all, Jujufa was much stronger, and the Divinity Realm Expert was also here. Not to mention the Space-Time and Elemental Space Realm experts that stuck around. They were all expecting the enemy to make a move on those two who separated from the group. That’s exactly what they wanted to happen.

Too bad, though. The queue moved forward, and the twins approached Koclavan to give ’their’ report. When they passed near Jujufa...

*Grab!*

They caught her with her guard down and instantly pulled her into the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. If someone didn’t want to enter a Pocket Dimensional Realm, they could simply fight the pulling power. It’s just that the shock was so big that Jujufa forgot to do that for a split second. Thus, she was dragged within.

Naturally, the twins entered it with Jujufa, then left Sister Orb do her thing, and exited once again by Kentucky’s side back in their room. That made the Dimensional Realm Entrance disappear from the city center.

Those actions didn’t take more than a second, and the twins returned to the Dimensional Realm, this time followed by Kentucky! Kentucky’s role was over at that moment.

Inside the Dimensional Realm, Roan had a faint smile on his face while Rean sighed in response. Still, he didn’t do anything and simply used his power to cut his feeling of pain. In the next second, Rean’s body transformed, assuming the same appearance as Jujufa, even the aura was similar. Finally, Roan used his Scythe and made quite a good work of Rean. How satisfying was that to cut Rean to his heart’s content? Roan savored every single second!

*Ouch!*

”My soul, you fucker!” Rean complained

”Ops... my apologies,” Roan said, but his expression didn’t show the least bit of remorse. Yes, he also used some of his Dark Element to make Rean suffer. How could he lose that chance, right?

”Just you wait! There will be retribution!” Rean complained.

”Yeah, yeah, yeah, just get out already,” to which Roan couldn’t care less.

*Zush!*

Only three seconds had passed, and now, ’Jujufa’ appeared outside again. This time, on another side of the city, near Celis. Celis was the last link of the operation. He was hidden inside a Concealing Formation left by Rean, and he used his location so Rean could come out there. Then, Celis also returned to the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm without anyone noticing.

Finally, what was left outside was the ’almost dead’ body of ’Jujufa,’ who was ’hanging by a thread.’

To make things even more believable, explosions followed. The Rune with Rifindio’s Aura wasn’t the only thing Rean left at those locations. He also left a ’gift’ for Griren and Laua to find. Griren was ultimately hit by the ’gift,’ while Handolo managed to save Laua before she was caught by the other explosion.

Now, the experts were rushing back to the teleport building with ’Jujufa.’ Her Werdlem Stone was ’destroyed,’ and they couldn’t do anything about it. They had to send her back to the Supreme Palace as fast as possible!

”Senior, we are activating the teleport formation. Hang in there, and we will send you back to the Supreme Palace so they can treat you!” Koclavan spoke hurriedly.

”No,” *cough, cough...* ’Jujufa’ coughed more blood. ”The Supreme Palace is way too far! The preparations to teleport there will take too long! Contact the Supreme Palace! *Cough, cough, cough...* and send me to the center of the Divine Realm. We have experts there who can save me! Fast! I can feel my cultivation leaking!”

That wasn’t a lie. Rifindio confirmed that to the twins already. The Supreme Palace was found outside the Divine Realm, in the void of the Uniserve. It was definitely several times further away than the center of the Divine Realm.

”Y-Yes!” Koclavan didn’t refuse at all. He was actually even happy. At the very least, if Jujufa died or lost her cultivation, they could share the blame with this other continent. ”We will do it immediately!”
