Death… And Me

Chapter 3547: Impossible Indeed...

Rean had seen that before. ”We are talking here about Divinity Realm experts, some might even have some deals with the Camazotz Bats’ Supreme Palace and the Inquisition Halls. All they had to do was find exactly who you were, and using these connections, they tracked you. It was that simple. No trackers were added to you. You had been carrying one ever since you started your cultivation life.”

”Sigh...” Elsie sighed again, or she would if her badger body were real. ”That explains why you see almost no owners of portraits accepting those offers on the network. Those at lower realms probably guessed they could be tracked down through their Werdlem IDs and hid away until the time comes.”

”That’s pretty much it,” Rean confirmed. ”The accessory I gave you completely blocks off your Werdlem Energy ID from escaping your core. Thus, no one can find you. Well, not until you try to access the Werdlem Network, but I believe you wouldn’t try the same thing twice now that you know.”

”Don’t worry,” Elsie leaned her lesson. ”I have to keep myself in check until the Palace goes away again. Only then I will be able to free myself from this shit.”

Roan shook his head. ”It would actually be better if you refrained from accessing the Werdlem Network for a few hundred years after that, too. After all, nothing stops you from being targeted again. Some might come after you, expecting you to have found something worth their effort.”

”There is a good thing, though,” Rifindio spoke from there. ”This kind of tracking that relies on the Supreme Palace and the Inquisition Hall is definitely not cheap. Now that the Celestial Supreme Palace is about to appear, the experts don’t mind the prices. But after it is gone, most of them will give up doing it since even their fortunes aren’t limitless. Take Roan’s advice to heart and wait a few hundred years once the palace is gone. That should be enough for you to be left alone.”

”Right!” Elsie had already made a mental note to follow their instructions to the letter. ”Thank you. This will help a lot. I will also keep Rean’s accessory during this time.”

”What are we going to do then?” Celis was already feeling bored with all that conversation. ”Do I need to prepare something specifically, or can I simply go back to cultivating during the next five years?” Even if five years of cultivation would mean almost nothing without Starlight Stones, Celis would still take it without complaint.

”No, nothing,” Roan shook his head. ”Celis, we will work on that Sixth Stage of Weapon Intent for the next five years. That is still our main priority here.”

”Yeah, yeah...” Elsie expected that. ”Come, let’s continue from where we stopped last time.”

And so, everyone went their own way. Zangeshu returned to the city to buy various materials for his formations, talismans, and forging. Rifindio didn’t go too far, and also spent some time with Kentucky, training and getting used to his Peak Stage Elemental Space Realm. Truth be told, he also had no need to enter the Celestial Supreme Palace, but how could he ignore it? That was the place where Triaglia reached the top of this Universe.

Rean and Roan worked with Elsie nonstop. Slowly but certainly, especially with her examples, they learned what it meant to give up the material world of weapons.

At the same time, they understood more and more why it was so difficulty. It all came down to the previous five Stages of Weapon Intent. Every single stage before the Sixth one relied above all on the weapon you were holding. Every single interaction, had the physical weapon as some kind of mediator or contributor. Their own subconsciousness was tangled with their existence, thus the difficult of giving it up.

Elsie explained that she took more than three hundred years before she finally managed to completely give up. And even then, when she created her first Sickle with the Sixth Stage of Weapon Intent, only less than 0.1% of it was made of Intent. The rest was pure Divine Energy. Well, Divine Origin Energy in her case.

Let’s not forget, the Sixth Stage requires you to create your weapons out of intent, not Divine Energy. The Divine Energy in the weapon was just a stopgap until you managed to create a 100% Intent Weapon.

In the first year, no progress was made. Rean and Roan’s Swords and Scythes were all just Divine Origin Energy, nothing else. They could use Sky Energy, but that would still not be an Intent Weapon.

However, perhaps because they were connected, their experiences helped each other, even if an Intent was still a personal thing. Elsie’s constant examples, often turning into fights for the purpose of training, helped even more. Poor Elsie felt her heart lose some confidence during that time. With such a huge advantage in cultivation, the only thing that gave her the upper hand during those mock battles was her Intent. Without that, the twins were just as strong as her, perhaps even stronger.

In the third year, Roan summoned his Scythe again. However, he wasn’t really paying attention to it. He was in a trance, thinking of nothing; only the intent existed. Then, slightly, truly just slightly, his Scythe trembled.

”Hum?” Elsie looked in Roan’s direction, and her eyes lit up as she murmured to herself. ”Most experts, even those in the Divinity Realm, will never reach the Sixth Stage of intent. But this guy, his Fifth Stage was so pure, so refined, it made me jealous. I knew he had it in him. What a terrifying talent.”

Her eyes didn’t focus on Roan for long, as she also turned in Rean’s direction. There, the same response happened, just a few seconds after Roan. ”They did mention to me they were connected in a way I couldn’t understand. Could this be a result of that connection?”

Both Rean and Roan had finally managed to create a Scythe and Sword of Intent. From what Elsie could feel, their weapons were just like her first attempt all those years ago, no more than 0.1% of the weapon was really made of Intent. Nonetheless, she also knew that that was the greatest barrier. They have now surpassed that barrier and could be officially called Sixth Stage Intent users.

*Bzzz...*

But then, something she didn’t expect happened.

Red Lightning started to come out of the twins’ bodies, and that Red Lightning was followed by Light and Dark Elements. It was the twins’ Dark and Bright Red Lightning, a variation of the Red Lightning Hawk’s power.

Together with that, their Scythe and Sword Intents overflowed, and their Divine Origin Energy weapons continued their transformation.

1%...

10%...

20%...

50%...

80%...

90%...!

99%!!!

By the time they finished, both the Scythe and Sword reached a complete rate of 99% Weapon Intent, and only 1% Divine Origin Energy! Not only that, their Dark and Bright Red Lightnings were absorbed by their Intent Weapons, both becoming Elemental Intent Weapons!

”Impossible!” Elsie exclaimed, finding it ridiculous to believe.

Roan looked at his new Intent Scythe, sighing and nodding in disappointment. ”So you also noticed, Elsie? It is indeed impossible. I tried to make it a 100% Intent Weapon, but this last 1% is just too difficult for me at the moment. I feel like I’m lacking something.”

Rean agreed with him. ”No can help it. At least we reached the Sixth Stage, so that should be good enough. Still, to think our Dark, Light, and Red Lightning Elements would be so easily compatible with the Intent Weapons. It isn’t bad at all. If we fuel the elements and the intent weapon with our Sky Energy, they should give a good boost of power. Oh, and we can use our Sky Energy in that last 1% that we can’t transform yet.”

Roan wasn’t satisfied, but he knew it was better not to force it. ”Guess this is a bonus since we couldn’t reach 100%. Oh well, whatever. We just need more training.”

Elsie wanted to cry again, and she would if her body projection was real. The ’impossible’ she talked about and the ’impossible’ the twins mentioned had two completely different meanings! ”You know what? Go fuck yourselves!”
