The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 840: Chapter 840: Medicinal Tea (4)

Yang Ruxin fell silent for a moment. Perhaps her difference was... She looked down at the red birthmark in the palm of her hand, maybe it was related to space, since space could store things. Hence, it’s possible that her body could store medicines too. So, she stepped forward and gripped Gu Qingheng’s hand, ”Maybe, I can try...”

Gu Qingheng gripped Yang Ruxin’s hand in return, ”Xinxin...”

”I know my own body.” Yang Ruxin patted the back of his hand soothingly, ”Maybe it really is... different from others.”

”Old man, let me try it, I...” Gu Qingheng was still worried.

”You are not suitable.” Dao Xuzi directly interrupted Gu Qingheng, ”The poison in your body is already severe enough. If you try this and it doesn’t work, all our previous efforts will be in vain...”

”Little Hengzi, you must trust Master. He will not let anything happen to me...” Yang Ruxin stroked Gu Qingheng’s head, ”You must believe in our abilities...”

In the end, Gu Qingheng agreed, albeit reluctantly.

From then on, Yang Ruxin began her new routine of consuming a bowl of medicinal soup each morning and undertaking a Medicine Bath for half an hour every evening. As for what changes would take place, that remained to be seen.

But how could Yang Ruxin easily become the old man’s test subject? Naturally, she had her conditions, and that was to make medicinal tea. The medicinal tea she had previously taken as gifts were personally prepared by the old man himself.

”How did I end up taking such a foolish apprentice?” Dao Xuzi truly showed great disdain for Yang Ruxin.

”What’s wrong with me?” Yang Ruxin protested, ”At least I’ve memorized the Collection of Herbs. Why do you despise me so much?”

”Medicinal tea, medicinal tea, do you really think it’s tea?” Dao Xuzi took a deep breath, feeling the urge to hit someone if he did not calm down, ”Those are medicinal herbs that are consumed like tea... Didn’t you even check? Were there any tea leaves in those medicine packets? Some teas are incompatible with certain herbs... and then you go collaborating with those in the tea business, I...” he said, raising his hand.

Yang Ruxin hastily retreated two steps, guiltily touching her nose. She also remembered that indeed, tea leaves could neutralize poisons; she had just forgotten before.

”Forget it, forget it.” Dao Xuzi finally deflated a bit and waved his hand, then turned to pull a book from the shelf and tossed it to Yang Ruxin, ”Memorize this within a month, not a single word less... And from now on, come learn medicine brewing and concocting with me every day...” The girl was good material for learning medicine, but it was a pity she was not dedicated enough, which worried him greatly.

Yang Ruxin glanced at the ”Yunmen Medical Classic” in her hand and her face fell, ”Can I not memorize it?”

”If you can’t memorize it, I won’t treat him...” Dao Xuzi was dead serious, ”I’ll immediately return to Yunmen Mountain and won’t come down for anyone...” He wondered internally if he was being too harsh. What if... Oh dear, should he rephrase that?

”You’re ruthless!” Yang Ruxin huffed and then turned and walked away. She had never dealt with such importance before, and she wasn’t particularly fond of studying medicine. What she knew now was simply the result of having a golden finger. The reason she took on a master was only to cover her tracks, but who knew... She felt like she had trapped herself.

Gu Qingheng watched Dao Xuzi thoughtfully.

But the old Dao Xuzi revealed a triumphant smile, waiting for the day the girl learned enough. Then, he could truly retire with his mission accomplished.
