The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 817: Chapter 817: She Wants to Be in Charge (5)

Yang Ruxin suddenly inhaled a sharp breath of cold air.

”The Imperial Court had already suppressed it before, after which it quieted down for a while, but this year it has become rampant again...” Qian Er’s face also looked rather pale, ”Chengzi said they specifically have people who kidnap others for trafficking. Those they can’t use right away are kept and raised, but of course, they won’t provide for them for free. The men will be sent to coal mines for hard labor, and women will be sent to brothels. In this way, they can make money first, and the smaller children will be arranged to go and steal or beg...”

Yang Ruxin’s face also became extremely hard to look at, and even after Qian Er had left, she couldn’t calm her feelings.

In any era, human trafficking and organ selling are always a persistent issue, all due to the huge profits. For the sake of money, some people are indeed capable of all evil.

However, has medical science in this era already become so advanced? Organ transplants are no minor surgery, after all. Even in the twenty-first century with its advanced medical science, organ transplants are not taken lightly and are not guaranteed to be successful. So, that Flame Sect...

Yang Ruxin was never a person who was prone to worry or sentimentality, but at this moment she felt terrified. If she hadn’t encountered Zhou Xiao and hadn’t meddled to save those siblings, would their fate have been to be used as live organ donors? If...

She remembered that in her previous life, there had been a radio program for finding lost relatives. The desperate look in the eyes of parents who had lost their children was unbearable to witness, and some would even repeat over and over, ”I just want my child to be alive and healthy. It’s okay if they don’t come back, just knowing they are alive...”

Without realizing it, she felt something cold on her face and quickly raised her hand to wipe it away. She had actually wept.

She took a breath. She had to deal with this matter, otherwise, she felt she would live with a guilty conscience for the rest of her life. However, as for how to deal with it, she would need the help of Gu Qingheng, and the Prince might also have received the news. Thus, she would have to see what action they would take.

After lamenting once again about the lack of manpower and information, Yang Ruxin managed to suppress her worry about the matter, took a walk around the courtyard to settle her mind, and then returned to Xinyuan.

The people who were resting had also gradually gotten up, and Fang Tianze had also arrived. Because it gets dark early in winter, now was the perfect time to go out for a stroll.

Yuan Mengzhu arranged for several reliable servants to accompany everyone.

”Xinxin, Yuyu...” As they left the County Governor’s Office, Xun Hui couldn’t help but tug at Yang Ruxin’s sleeve, ”Should we also call her out? After all...”

”Sure,” Yang Ruxin nodded. She hadn’t brought Yang Ruyu with her to the Fang Family’s banquet, leaving her at the inn instead. Now that Xun Hui suggested calling her out as well, she didn’t refuse.

Xun Hui smiled.

The group first went to the inn, but were told that the girl from that room had left shortly after they had. As for where she went, the young attendant admitted he had no idea: ”Originally, Miss Yang, you had ordered lunch prepared for her, but since the girl didn’t return, so...” They hadn’t planned to prepare it, but feared she might return with nothing to eat, so they had prepared it anyway, and now...

”It’s okay,” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”The food has already been made, let’s just assume she ate it...”

The young attendant was immediately relieved, as long as there was no loss of money, it was all good.

”What do you think, a girl on her own, where could she go? What if...”

”Mother,” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”She’s not young anymore, she’s aware of the consequences of her actions, she won’t be lost...”
