The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 835: Chapter 835: Silver Thumb Ring (5)

Wengweng’s eyes, originally slightly lowered, slowly lifted.

Yang Ruxin felt as if a burst of iridescent light suddenly appeared before her eyes, making the originally monotonous colors around her sparkle with radiance. These eyes, which she had always found beautiful but could never describe, now shimmered and glinted, tempting her to drown in them without a care...

Just as Gu Qingheng’s lips were curving into a slight smile, as though he expected her to throw herself at him the next moment, she suddenly raised her hand to cover his eyes, causing him a moment of surprise.

”Gu Qingheng, I warn you, you don’t need to look at people like that,” Yang Ruxin said with a frown, ”Do you know that looking at someone that way can make them feel a criminal urge?” If only sunglasses existed in ancient times, she really would have prepared a pair for him.

Perhaps before, due to his eyes being a bit dull, people would only feel pity upon seeing them, but now she realized that the tail of his eyes was actually slightly upturned. If he curved his lips up just a bit, he could absolutely charm someone’s soul away.

After a brief pause, Gu Qingheng smiled somewhat helplessly and reached out to pull her hand down, ”Don’t worry, apart from you, I have no eyes for any other woman.” In the future, his heart would only have room for Xinxin, and then his people or foes, as well as the occasional stranger.

Yang Ruxin laughed, ”You have quite the sweet mouth; here’s a reward.” Saying so, she pecked his lips willingly.

But parting was not going to be so easy—she was immediately embraced by him and wasn’t released until she felt his body start to react.

”I’m still young...” Yang Ruxin, observing the painfully handsome face before her, suddenly felt happy and quickly stepped back two paces, ”Besides, we’re not yet properly matched...” Her body had recovered quite well over the last few months thanks to Dao Xuzi’s consistent aid with her medication, however, for some reason, that special ”aunt” that was exclusive to girls had yet to pay a visit.

”What if I go and propose right now?” Gu Qingheng asked through gritted teeth. Was this girl teasing him because his legs weren’t fully healed? Staying so far away from him? It was precisely because she was so young that he needed to secure her by his side sooner, to then slowly nurture her until the time was ripe to claim her. Otherwise, what if someone else stole her from him when he wasn’t careful?

Yang Ruxin simply extended a finger and waggled it.

A flicker passed through Gu Qingheng’s eyes. That one-year promise now seemed painfully long.

”You can’t break your promise,” Yang Ruxin, perhaps perceiving his thoughts, immediately glared at him, ”A promise must be kept, as sure as a carriage is driven by horses.”

”Before you, I am no gentleman,” Gu Qingheng abruptly slapped his wheelchair, surging forward and pulling the girl into his embrace, ”From now on, you’re not to stay so far away from me...”

Yang Ruxin rolled her eyes but didn’t argue, knowing it would be fruitless. Yet she patted his hand, ”It’s getting late. I should tidy up a bit and then go back to cook. Today, we must celebrate properly...”

”What’s this?” Yang Ruxin spotted a very ancient looking Silver Thumb Ring on the kang where Song San had lain. It bore a simple pattern, somewhat resembling a cloud, ”Could it have been left behind by that person?”

”It must have been left deliberately by that Song San,” Gu Qingheng glanced at it, ”Perhaps he wanted to repay a kindness...”

Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow slightly, ”That man is not simple... So, do you think he is righteous or nefarious?”
