The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 827: Chapter 827: No Surprise at Strange Sights (3)

”A Hai Dongqing that eats pancake fruit?” Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but laugh and cry, but she wasn’t stingy, ”Clean your beak and claws, and I’ll give you all that’s left.”

Xiaohei actually lowered his head and scrubbed his beak and claws clean in the snow. Only then did he return to Yang Ruxin’s side and happily started eating the pancake fruit...

Yang Ruxin felt that since she had transmigrated from the twenty-first century to become Yang Dani, and even acquired a space with an exceedingly strong will, her heart had grown strong enough. So, making friends with Dabai, Xiaobai, and Xiaolun was no big deal. After all, all beings have spirits, and there had been many reports of spirited animals in the news of her previous life. But why did she find it so... bizarre to watch Xiaolun savoring the pancake fruit?

Xiaolun originally only ate eggs and wasn’t even tempted when Xiaobai ate meat, but for some reason, upon watching Xiaohei, it suddenly wanted to try something else and flicked its tongue out at Yang Ruxin.

Yang Ruxin’s mouth twitched. Her meal had been eaten by Xiaohei, and she had only prepared one pancake fruit. She had barely taken two bites when Xiaolun wanted something else. What could she give it? Suddenly, she remembered the radishes and pears in her space and took out two pears—one for herself to gnaw on and the other she tossed to Xiaolun.

Snakes generally swallow their food whole and can often ingest items much larger than themselves. Xiaolun was no exception; it usually swallowed eggs whole and then spit out the shell. It now gulped down the pear in one go, and not long after, spit out the core and seemingly belched satisfactorily—fruit after a meal was indeed a comfort.

Xiaohei looked on and moved closer, the pancake fruit now reduced to mere crumbs in the snow.

Seeing Xiaohei’s look, Yang Ruxin didn’t bother to ask and simply threw another pear his way.

Xiaohei bit into the pear with a crisp crunching sound.

One gets used to strange things.

After everyone was full, the trio—a person, an eagle, and a snake—continued their descent down the mountain.

Xiaohei’s wings were injured and he couldn’t fly, so he had to walk. Despite his short legs, he moved quite swiftly, even hopping about energetically from time to time, which amused Yang Ruxin to no end.

However, Xiaolun just rolled its eyes. In its view, living under the same roof with Xiaohei was less desirable than with Xiaobai. After all, Xiaobai had a good temper. As long as Xiaolun didn’t do anything outrageous, Xiaobai would mostly ignore it. But Xiaohei was different—it was its natural enemy. It seemed the quiet days were over.

How frustrating is that?

As they trekked on, Yang Ruxin suddenly furrowed her brows—a strong scent of blood. Had an accident occurred? They were not far from the bottom of the mountain. If there was some cruel and violent person about, and they descended the mountain... Thinking this, she quickly turned and rushed towards the source of the bloody smell.

She soon heard noises.

Deep in the forest, a man was being attacked by a pack... of jackals.

Prior to this, Yang Ruxin had only seen jackals on TV. Smaller than wolves and resembling dogs, but fiercely aggressive, they were especially prone to pack hunting, making an encounter with a pack of jackals extremely dangerous.

Even in the forest, large animals like tigers and bears wouldn’t easily provoke them. After all, you might kill one, two, or even seven or eight jackals, but many more would keep coming. There’s always a moment of exhaustion, and then the remaining pack would tear you apart.

But at that moment, someone was actually facing off against a pack of jackals.
