The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

191: Chapter 191 Republic of China Era Rosewood Carved CompassRepublic Era Sandalwood Carved compass

Shi Xiaoya returned after seeing Zhou Yuanyuan off.

Wang Yunzhi had already arranged a room for Shi Xiaoya, in the guest room next to Han Jingyang’s bedroom.

Although the family wasn’t wealthy, there were quite a few rooms; the building area was large, and it would have been difficult to have fewer rooms. Rural construction back then didn’t understand design; it was all orderly rooms, one after another, so as not to waste space.

However, as soon as Wang Yunzhi left, Shi Xiaoya hugged her quilt and slipped into Han Jingyang’s bedroom, locking the door and chuckling, ”Boss, your counselor really cares about you.”

Han Jingyang nodded indifferently.

Seeing this, Shi Xiaoya immediately knew Han Jingyang had something on his mind and hurriedly asked, ”Boss, did something happen again?”

Han Jingyang opened his phone. ”This person’s surname is Li, his name is Li Bing, from our village. His nickname is Li Laowu, and he’s in the river sand business. Although he hasn’t done anything illegal or disruptive, he’s somewhat of a local tyrant and is quite wealthy.”

Shi Xiaoya immediately reacted. ”The house construction matter?”

”Yeah, my dad asked twice, and he either said there was no stock or gave no response. I suspect someone is behind this. Go and check out the situation tomorrow.”

”Alright, I’ve got it,” Shi Xiaoya carefully noted Li Bing’s personal information and lay down next to Han Jingyang. ”Boss, the food Auntie makes is really delicious.”

”Of course, she’s been a great cook for years.”

”I’ll have to come over for meals often from now on.”

”Sure, you’re thick-skinned enough that you won’t starve anywhere you go.”

”Hehe, Boss, between me and Liu Jing, who do you like more?”

”I like you both.”

”Really? My status in your heart is already equal to Liu Jing’s?”

”Yeah.”

”Boss, how’s the soundproofing in this room?”

”It’s alright. What are you planning to do?”

”Nothing, just... just a hug. I’ve grown up this much and haven’t slept while holding a man before.”

”Back in Dongpo Village...”

”That doesn’t count.”

Shi Xiaoya was as good as her word and truly did nothing, simply holding Han Jingyang and sleeping soundly for the night.

They slept until 8:30 the next morning.

And while Wang Yunzhi was mopping the floor, she stepped out in her pajamas, yawning. ”Good morning, Auntie.”

Wang Yunzhi’s eyes went wide. Once Shi Xiaoya returned to the guest room, she rushed into Han Jingyang’s bedroom, brandishing a broom and hitting him twice. ”You little brat, what on earth are you doing? Who exactly are you dating? What about Liu Jing?”

Han Jingyang sighed. ”Mom, just stay out of it. This is a matter between us young people.”

”Bullshit! You’re my son, it’s only natural for me to care. As long as you still acknowledge me as your mother, you have to explain this clearly.”

”Fine, fine, fine. You go out first, I’ll talk to you properly in a bit.”

”Get out of bed right now!”

”Okay, okay, I’m getting up.”

Han Jingyang dawdled getting out of bed, then washed up as quickly as possible. Taking advantage of his mother’s inattention, he grabbed Shi Xiaoya and ran, skipping breakfast.

Upon arriving at Jiguang Zhai, Shi Xiaoya dropped Han Jingyang off and immediately turned back to handle the matter Han Jingyang mentioned last night.

Nine-thirty.

Liu Jing arrived at the shop. After searching and not seeing Shi Xiaoya, her eyes immediately widened. ”Where did that Shi woman go? Didn’t we agree that one of us must be by the boss’s side at all times and in all places? How dare she skip work?”

”I sent her out to run an errand for me.”

”What kind of errand?”

”My family ran into a bit of trouble back home.”

”Is it serious?”

”It doesn’t look serious for now, but I don’t know the specifics yet. That’s why I sent her over to check out the situation.”

Liu Jing breathed a sigh of relief and continued, ”Boss, did Ye Fei call you?”

”No, why?”

”He looked for me last night, saying he took on a job and wanted you to help review a design plan. He asked if you were free.”

”That’s a big job.”

”Yes, it’s another villa project. He only takes on high-end projects like this now. His business relies entirely on word of mouth, and he puts a lot of heart into the design; after all, that’s his specialty.”

”This would require a field inspection, right?”

”Definitely.”

”He knows my fee schedule. Since he made this request, he must be prepared to pay. Tell him I won’t charge him for this job, but he has to help me with a design plan. Ask if he’s willing.”

”Alright.”

Liu Jing called Ye Fei directly.

Hanging up, she said to Han Jingyang, ”Boss, he agreed. He said he’s making a huge profit this time and even feels like he could have a long-term collaboration with you.”

”Forget about long-term. Occasional collaboration is fine. These days, those willing to spend big on Feng Shui are a minority, after all.”

”He said he’ll be over in a bit. Boss, what do you think...”

”Sure, we’ll go straight to the site. I don’t have anything else to do right now anyway.”

While waiting for Ye Fei, Han Jingyang took out the two small dharma instruments he had seized while rescuing the three girls the day before yesterday to appraise them.

They were fairly standard.

”Name: Republic Era Sandalwood Carved compass.”

”Rank: Grade Five.”

”Attribute: Stealth +8.”

”Skill: None.”

”Name: Republic Era Sandalwood Painted Fan with Ladies.”

”Rank: Grade Six.”

”Attribute: Hypnosis +5.”

”Skill: None.”

The ranks were decent, but without skills, their value was significantly discounted.

However, the attributes were quite good. Although they were a bit sinister, they would be useful in the right place.

Especially this sandalwood compass; it was a Grade Five item.

No wonder the Tracking attributes of both the Copper Token and the Peach Wood Plate had failed before.

It even forced me to use a skill.

This compass wasn’t very useful to me, but it would be good to keep at home. It could be used to shield my parents, grandparents, and sister from being tracked by certain people.

Pretty good.

As for the fan...

Han Jingyang was a bit repulsed.

Hypnosis—at first mention, it didn’t sound like anything good. It was too easy to associate it with a certain series of movies made by the Japanese.

However, it could still come in handy at a critical moment.

He just didn’t know who the owner of these two items was.

Right, why hadn’t there been any news from Shen Yuhai’s side?

It shouldn’t be like this. After catching Liu Ming and Huo Qian, shouldn’t they have followed the clues to find the real culprit?

At the very least, the Three Liu Brothers shouldn’t be allowed to remain at large!

Who would believe that the Three Liu Brothers didn’t know about this?

Forget it, whatever. I’ve done all I can to help. The rest is up to Shen Yuhai and the authorities. Whether the Three Liu Brothers are caught or not isn’t up to me.

No point worrying about it.

At ten-thirty, Ye Fei arrived by car. He entered the door and his eyes widened. ”Boss Han, did I really renovate this place?”

”Yeah. It’s only been a few days; you don’t recognize it?”

”How can it be completely different?”

”Is it?”

”Mm-hmm,” Ye Fei nodded vigorously. ”The change is enormous. I can’t say exactly what’s different, but the intuitive feelings of my eyes, ears, nose, and body won’t lie to me. It’s too comfortable here, like a legendary paradise on earth. The moment you walk in, you can feel a refreshing aura that feels good from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. I really want to live here long-term.”

”Come over and hang out when you’re free.”

”Definitely. After all, I deserve some credit for the construction here,” Ye Fei nodded fervently. ”No wonder wealthy people like to mess around with Feng Shui. It really is different, such enjoyment. When I have money, I’ll definitely set my place up just like yours.”
