The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

190: Chapter 190 Stuck by River SandHan Jingyang naturally brought gifts.

Two of them, in fact.

The first was the eight-sided seal carved from coal essence that he had obtained from Huang Jianyong.

The second was, naturally, the house he had just purchased.

Han Jingyang first took the eight-sided seal to his younger sister’s study.

Han Jingxin was busy doing her homework. Seeing Han Jingyang enter, she gave a light huff, tilted her head up, and deliberately avoided looking at him.

Han Jingyang didn’t mind; he simply placed the eight-sided seal on her desk: ”I picked this out especially for you. It’s an old object and very expensive. Just keep it in the study and don’t mess with it.”

Han Jingxin finally couldn’t hold back: ”Brother, is this also a dharma instrument?”

”You’ve learned to jump the gun with your answers, haven’t you? Not bad, not bad.”

”What does it do?”

”It can appropriately improve your learning ability.”

”Learning ability?”

”Yes. The longer you study, the more you will learn.”

Han Jingxin pouted: ”Isn’t there a dharma instrument that can make me remember everything I see? Studying is so tiring.”

Han Jingyang chuckled: ”If there really were such a good thing, it wouldn’t fall to you. Your older brother here needs it too. You, just study hard. You already have several dharma instruments assisting you, so your learning efficiency exceeds that of the vast majority of your classmates. Don’t be ungrateful. If you still can’t get into a good school with this, see if I’ll buy you anything else.”

”I know, you’re the best to me, Brother.” Han Jingxin then hugged Han Jingyang’s arm and acted spoiled. She was counting on her brother, who had recently made a lot of money, to buy her delicious snacks and fun toys, not to mention a mobile phone, a computer, and so on.

Han Jingyang patted his sister’s head: ”Study hard and get into a good university, and there will definitely be surprises. The better the university, the more surprises there will be.”

”Is that a promise?”

”It’s a promise.”

After soothing his sister, Han Jingyang wandered over to the kitchen. Holding the keys and the residential access card he had just acquired, he jumped in front of his mother: ”Ta-da! Mom, look at what this is.”

Wang Yunzhi was frying eggplant boxes and impatiently swatted Han Jingyang’s hand away: ”What’s there to show off about a few keys?”

Only then did she react: ”Whose keys are these?”

”Our new home.”

”A new home?”

”Mm-hmm. I bought it this afternoon. The property deed won’t be ready for a week, but the house is ready-made, so we can move in at any time.”

”You really know how to waste money.”

”What’s the point of having money if you don’t spend it?” Han Jingyang directly picked up an eggplant box that had just come out of the fryer and popped it into his mouth, chewing it with a ”crunch, crunch” sound.

The freshly fried eggplant box was very hot, but very fragrant; the texture was crispy, and the flavor was rich.

Fresh, fragrant, crispy, and tender—piping hot and delicious.

He just loved this kind of food straight out of the fryer; it was the best.

It was just a pity that he had less and less time to eat at home lately.

This could be considered a trade-off.

If you want to make big money, you inevitably have to sacrifice some things.

Wang Yunzhi didn’t seem to feel much about it. She casually asked for information like the size and location, and finally didn’t forget to scold him: ”All you know is how to waste money. You didn’t even think to discuss such a big matter with us. Don’t do this in the future.”

”Okay, okay,” Han Jingyang nodded repeatedly and promised again and again that he wouldn’t act on his own authority in the future. Only then did he slip out of the kitchen with an eggplant box in each hand. He bumped into Shi Xiaoya, who was walking in with a vegetable basket, and casually stuffed an eggplant box toward her mouth: ”Try it, it just came out of the fryer, it’s very fragrant.”

Shi Xiaoya blinked, took a bite, and said loudly: ”Thank you, Boss.”

Zhou Yuanyuan, who was following behind Shi Xiaoya, saw this scene. Her eyes dimmed slightly, but then she smiled and said: ”You two, watch your image.”

Han Jingyang raised an eyebrow: ”What’s wrong?”

”Don’t torment the single people.”

”Does this count as tormenting single people?”

”Doesn’t it?”

”The two of us have a pure employment relationship; we just get along quite casually,” Han Jingyang said, handing the other eggplant box toward Zhou Yuanyuan’s mouth: ”Sister Yuanyuan, this is yours.”

Zhou Yuanyuan’s face turned bright red instantly. Seeing that there was no one else in the room, she quickly opened her mouth to bite the eggplant box and began to chew it quickly with a ”crunch, crunch” sound. Before Shi Xiaoya could come out of the kitchen, she tried her best to swallow the eggplant box in her mouth, then turned her head and pretended that nothing had happened.

Shi Xiaoya chuckled, but leaned over to Han Jingyang’s side: ”Boss, Auntie is so cute. When I went in, she was excitedly holding that bunch of keys and kissing them, hehe.”

Han Jingyang nodded: ”She’s just like that. No matter what her mood is, she won’t show it in front of us. The happier she is, the stricter she is with our requirements. She only secretly expresses her joy when we siblings aren’t around.”

”So cute.”

”I don’t know if it’s cute, but it’s definitely genuine. Just now I got nagged for a while, saying I waste money and act on my own authority, and so on.”

Dinner was very sumptuous.

Two extra dishes were added specifically for Han Jingyang and Shi Xiaoya.

The whole family was there, not one missing, plus Shi Xiaoya and Zhou Yuanyuan. The atmosphere was incredibly harmonious.

With eight people, they even brought out the large dining table that wasn’t usually used much at home.

At the dinner table, Wang Yunzhi brought up the matter of Han Jingyang buying a house.

Han Bin didn’t have much of a reaction: ”If you bought it, you bought it. When you have time, go take a look, clean it up, and find an opportunity to move in so we can start work here earlier.”

Han Zhenshan said: ”Jingyang, you are doing this kind of work now. Pick a good day for moving, and then adjust the Feng Shui of the new home. Moving is no small matter; if the Feng Shui of the old and new homes clash, it’s easy for accidents to happen.”

Han Jingyang nodded repeatedly: ”Grandpa is right; I will definitely study it carefully.”

”The same goes for here. Find a good day before breaking ground. The orientation and layout should also be arranged in advance. We don’t ask for better, but it can’t be worse than the original, right?”

”Right, right, that’s exactly the logic,” Han Jingyang nodded repeatedly: ”No wonder they say having an elder in the house is like having a treasure. You are the backbone of our family.”

After eating and drinking his fill, Han Jingyang let Shi Xiaoya take Zhou Yuanyuan home.

Now, only his own family remained.

Han Bin chased Han Jingxin back to the study to do her problems, and then said to Han Jingyang: ”The paperwork and such are all done, and I’ve found a construction team. I’ve also asked about rebar, cement, and bricks, but the river sand is the only thing that hasn’t been settled yet. Do you have any connections?”

Han Jingyang raised an eyebrow: ”River sand?”

”Yes.”

”What’s the situation?”

”We have to place orders for river sand from Li Laowu’s side. When I went to ask a few days ago, Li Laowu said he was out of stock. When I asked him when he would have stock, he wouldn’t give a definite answer.”

”Li Laowu? Does our family have any grievances with him?”

”No.”

”Does he want money?”

”I don’t know. But I didn’t push it, so I waited for you to come back to discuss it with you. Your grandfather was in charge before, and now it’s your turn to be in charge. Anyway, your father here is just a useless electrician with no insight. I can’t help with small things, and I can’t get involved in big things.”

Han Jingyang nodded slightly, but in his heart, he decided to find another way.

It’s just river sand.

Building a residential house doesn’t take much; twenty tons is enough, one large truckload will do.

Connections?

A single phone call from Wang Zhiwei would do it. That guy has broad connections in Quancheng and knows all kinds of messy people; getting a truck of river sand is like a game.

The problem is still that Li Laowu.

Turning away business and deliberately making things difficult—there must be something fishy going on.

It’s just that he didn’t know what kind of ghost Li Laowu was harboring in his heart.

How about finding someone to scout out the situation?

Not for the sake of the river sand, but just to eliminate potential hidden dangers.
