Chapter 1038: Chapter 1037: The Large Comparison of the War Department

God Ranking, that is a list ranked by the World’s Martial Arts Alliance that is even more prestigious than the Martial Arts Masters List.

It has even more credibility than Dragon Country’s Dragon Rankings!

Those ranked on it are all world-level experts.

To be listed, the minimum strength is that of an Earth Realm martial artist!

”Then can’t Brother Hei Long help us take revenge? No matter what, Shaoyang is his nephew.”

At the moment, Li Yuanyang’s wife was relentless and spoke up again.

Li Yuanyang shook his head and laughingly said, ”Your son has always been someone Brother Hei Long looked down on.”

”Moreover, this time, it seems there’s no good reason. Would someone like Brother Hei Long take action to avenge him? What are you thinking?”

Hearing this, Li Yuanyang’s wife felt desperate.

She naturally understood this rationale too.

Although there was the connection to War God Hei Long, it wasn’t something that could be easily leveraged.

”However, you don’t need to be too disheartened. That Master Lin might not survive much longer,” Li Yuanyang suddenly said.

A look of joy appeared on Li Yuanyang’s wife’s face as she eagerly asked, ”Dear, what do you mean? Why do you say that he won’t live much longer?”

”I’ve heard that in two days Elder Wu and Old Gong, the Martial Arbiters, will be looking for him!”

”With those two joining forces, how could Master Lin survive?”

”Great!” Li Yuanyang’s wife was overjoyed.

...

Demon City.

The next day.

Lin Dong woke up early in the morning, feeling refreshed and spirited.

He and Sister Qingcheng were simply crazy last night.

Li Qingcheng was still asleep, exhausted.

Lin Dong didn’t disturb her and quietly got out of bed and went to the living room.

In the living room, Li Nanzhi looked at him with a weird expression.

Lin Dong spread his hands and asked, ”Why are you looking at me with that expression?”

”Next time, can you go to a hotel? You two did that on purpose, right?” Li Nanzhi glared at him.

Lin Dong felt awkward and, without replying, quickly went to wash up.

After washing up, Lin Dong prepared to leave.

On the side, Li Nanzhi said, ”Elder Wu and Old Gong will be here soon, don’t you need to prepare properly?”

”At times like this, I think it would be better for you to retreat at home.”

Lin Dong smiled and shook his head, ”For those two, I don’t need to retreat.”

”Today I have to head for the War Department.”

Saying this, he left home and headed for the War Department.

Seeing this, Li Nanzhi didn’t know what else to say.

Lin Dong was going to the War Department today because the Azure Dragon Messenger summoned him for a matter.

He had no choice but to go.

On the way, Lin Dong smiled bitterly, ”I knew it wouldn’t be so simple after joining the War Department. There will certainly be no shortage of things to do.”

Upon arriving at the War Department, he went straight to the Hall of War God.

At the moment, along with the Azure Dragon Messenger, Divine General Zhao Feiying and the Junlin Divine General were all present.

Clearly, whatever they needed him for today was probably not a small matter.

After Lin Dong arrived, everyone stood up and gave him a military salute.

Lin Dong waved his hand and said, ”Let’s get straight to the point, what’s the matter? Why have you summoned me to the War Department so early in the morning? And all of you are here.”

The Azure Dragon Messenger said to Zhao Feiying, ”Divine General Fei Ying, you speak.”

Zhao Feiying nodded, ”Here’s the thing, War God Lin. Every year, each of the thirty-six War Zones of our Dragon Country’s War Department hold a large comparison between the Special Combat Units.”

”The great comparison for this year is about to begin soon. We would like to discuss the specifics with War God Lin.”

”The large comparison of the War Department? Can’t you guys handle the arrangement?” Lin Dong asked.

”No, this involves the honor of Demon City’s War Department. It must be handled by the highest commander of Demon City!”

”We need War God Lin to decide on the participants as well as take responsibility for their instructors!”

”Oh, I see. Then tell me more about the specifics of this large comparison of the War Department,” Lin Dong nodded. Since he couldn’t avoid it, he had no choice but to take on the task.

Zhao Feiying began to explain the specifics of the large comparison of the War Department to Lin Dong.

The Dragon Country War Department is divided into thirty-six War Zones.

Demon City’s Warzone is naturally one of them.

Each of these thirty-six War Zones has its own elite Special Operation Team, generally composed of martial artists.

Of course, there are also regular combat teams composed of common people.

And the annual large comparison of the War Department is comprised of two parts.

One is a competition among the martial artist elite Special Operation Teams of the thirty-six War Zones.

The other is a contest between the regular combat teams of the thirty-six Special Operation Teams.

Zhao Feiying said:

”In past years, our Elite Special Operation Team has consisted of participants from the Kylin Special Forces. Since they’re the elite among the martial artists of Demon City, we’ve performed well, ranking fifth among the thirty-six War Zones of the War Department, only behind the General War Department, Capital City’s War Ministry, Western Region War Department, and Sea Region War Department!”

”However, our regular combat team is not doing well, ranking third from last among the thirty-six teams!”

Lin Dong was surprised to hear this.

It was normal for the Elite Special Operation Team to rank in the top five.

But for the regular combat team to rank third from last, wasn’t that unacceptable?

This was after all the Demon City War Department! Belonging to Demon City, which is second only to the Capital City.

No wonder Zhao Feiying felt ashamed when he brought it up.

Lin Dong even felt embarrassed for them.

”War God Lin, the coach of the Kylin team used to be the Qilin War God. Now that he has resigned, we haven’t found anyone to fill his position. We can only ask for your assistance!” the Junlin War God spoke up.

Upon hearing this, Lin Dong reluctantly agreed.

”And the coach for the regular combat team?” Lin Dong asked again.

”The regular combat team, no matter how they train, will only get so far. In the past, we would casually choose a Five-star Divine General to serve as coach. Now just randomly select someone; if really no one is available, then I’ll do it,” Zhao Feiying said.

Hearing this, Lin Dong shook his head and said, ”Forget it, I’ll take responsibility for both.”

”Although they previously ranked third from last, we can’t completely give up on them. The ordinary soldiers are the core strength of a War Department, after all, since they are the majority.”

Everyone was delighted to hear this.

”If War God Lin is willing to take charge, then that’s wonderful.”

For them, this was an unexpected joy.

They thought, if Lin Dong were to lead both special combat teams, perhaps their performance would improve somewhat.

Especially the regular combat team, surely they wouldn’t continue to rank third from last, right?
