Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 736: The Breakthrough for Self-awakened Body Cultivation: Martial path Rune

After leaving, I did manage to exchange restricted knowledge about Destiny Alchemy from Big Sis Trixie.

The value of knowledge became clear to me not long after I enrolled in the Transcendent Academy.

The technique of Destiny Alchemy had virtually no related records in the Witch Academy.

Otherwise, the Great Tree of Knowledge, Academy Network, and the library being interconnected would not have left them completely ignorant of the concept of a ”Destiny Alchemist.”

Moreover, if it weren’t for Academy Head Mei extorting a World Fragment this time, I wouldn’t have known that the Alchemy technique even had a branch like ”Star Alchemist.”

It seems that the saying ”everything can be Alchemy” is not just empty boast.

There is always some knowledge that cannot be measured by value, and coincidentally, Destiny Items are also things whose value cannot be measured by ordinary means.

Trixie was very curious about this Destiny Sorcery Tool, so she readily accepted the trade.

She even directly gave me the foundational knowledge books related to Destiny Alchemy, which included her own learning notes and experimental log handbooks.

According to Big Sis Trixie, if I thoroughly grasped all of this, I would have sufficient cognition of Destiny, and my theoretical level would be approximately that of a Junior Destiny Alchemist.

However, the requirement for ”talent” in a Destiny Alchemist is very high, but clearly, I am the type with very high talent.

She even asked me if I wanted to be a Destiny Alchemist during our very first meeting.

And I had once possessed a Seed of Destiny, personally destroyed a Seed of Destiny, could see the threads of Destiny, and even the deep-seated Destiny undercurrents.

I even created the ”Destiny Gazing Technique” for observing Destiny’s movements.

According to Big Sis Trixie’s description, I had virtually maxed out all the talent conditions for learning Destiny Alchemy.

But I was not learning Destiny Alchemy to collect Destiny for refinement experiments like Big Sis Trixie; I wanted to clarify the concept of Destiny.

Whether it was the Reverse Summoning Spell or the Myriad Worlds Terminal in the game world, they are all closely related to Destiny.

Without a fundamental understanding of something, a person facing the unknown will only be left with… fear and helplessness.

So, in the end, I was merely demystifying it, completely shattering the inherent impressions Destiny had given me.

Only then could I view the concept of ”Destiny” with a sense of normalcy.

But for now… I was focused on the Self-generating Magic Power experiment.

Academy Head Mei also told me not to get involved in the game world for the time being, as, according to her description, the game world was likely experiencing a major turmoil.

As for the Reverse Summoning Spell and the [Transcendent Knowledge] that Teacher Ji Niang was researching, I planned to spend some time compiling the related information on Destiny, along with my conjectures and ideas, and transmit them via the Great Knowledge Sharing Technique.

After all, it wasn’t very convenient for me to go there now.

Teacher Ji Niang’s experiment had already entered its own rhythm and she had gathered her own research team.

Going over there abruptly, without the formal experience and insight of researching [Transcendent Knowledge], would only interrupt their rhythm.

However, looking at the current time, after informing everyone in the ”Transcendent Research Group (Self-generating Magic Power Project)” group chat about my arrangements, I decided not to return to the laboratory for now.

This group was initially established by Yi Rui and her team as a mutual aid group.

It slowly developed over time and was the channel through which they communicated.

Later, they added me to the group.

And they also revised the group’s name/description.

It can be said that almost everyone in this group was involved in the Self-generating Magic Power project this time.

Currently, one batch of people was conducting experiments in the laboratory, and another batch was recording data.

However, since there were only five copies of the Metamorphic Incubation Spellbook, only five people could attempt the experiment at a time, and not many people were needed for recording.

Therefore, the rest of the group, including Yi Rui and her team, were out snatching new students.

Yes, they all went out to snatch people.

To reduce my burden, they suggested that I shouldn’t waste my time on snatching people, leaving these trivial matters to them.

After all… I alone needed to be responsible for the analysis and summary of the birth principle of Self-generating Magic Power, and I was also currently preoccupied with the progress of the Magic Power Source Body Cultivation Method.

After saying in the group chat that I wouldn’t be returning to the laboratory today, I originally planned to go to the area where Yi Rui and her team were snatching new students to continue the observation experiments on Initial Witchification, but this suggestion was rejected by them.

Unbeknownst to me, Yi Rui and her team seemed to have developed their own resolve and started to reject my… ”charity.”

Yes, she described my concern for their progress, which led to my desire to help, as an act of behavioral charity.

Although Yi Rui was very subtle, that was generally what she meant.

Since everyone had been assigned a task, I should firmly believe that they could accomplish it, rather than questioning their competence under the guise of providing guidance.

Shouldn’t the prerequisite for guiding others be that one’s own part is completed first, and then one wholeheartedly commits to providing assistance?

That way, they could accept the assistance with a clear conscience.

Right now, my assistance was indistinguishable from charity.

They also had their own ideas and research capabilities.

Moreover, with so many people helping them, and so many Transcendent mentors behind them, they had their own connections and background to figure out what they wanted to understand.

They used this subtle way to reject my ”good intentions.”

They told me not to spread my energy thin.

Compared to the Magic Power Source Body Cultivation Method, they were clearly more concerned about my progress in my own research.

The Magic Power Source Body Cultivation Method was a path destined to succeed.

As long as the train of thought was correct and the method was found, everything would proceed systematically.

But the problem I was facing was one that even Transcendent Witches couldn’t solve!

At least, in their cognition, Transcendent Witches couldn’t solve this problem because they had heard their mentors recount their past failures, and so on.

Therefore, this time, I finally returned to the villa.

Big Sis Bai’s villa.

After organizing the knowledge related to Destiny Alchemy, I integrated the knowledge of Destiny cognition and application and sent it to Teacher Ji Niang.

Whether it was useful or not, sending a copy was better than not sending one.

Conveniently, I also gave a copy of Destiny Alchemy to Big Sis Bai.

However, Big Sis Bai didn’t seem to have the talent for learning this technique.

After gaining an understanding of this knowledge, it only added to her cognition.

Then, that evening, Big Sis Bai and I tallied the gains from the ”splitting of the spoils” this time.

I have to say, the good things extorted by Academy Head Mei were truly excellent, and the batch sent to me, after selection, were all good items.

Although one should not show their wealth openly, being honest about this with Big Sis Bai was not being too formal.

I even shared the World Fragment I was about to possess with Big Sis Bai.

I also discussed with Big Sis Bai how to plan this World Fragment in the future, whether to build a secret cabin for Big Sis Bai and me inside, and so on.

However… even with Big Sis Bai’s help, we couldn’t decide how to utilize this World Fragment.

After all, Big Sis Bai had only recently advanced to Transcendent and didn’t have the accumulation of knowledge and experience that other Transcendent beings had.

To put it plainly, Big Sis Bai was a Transcendent being native to the Main World and hadn’t experienced the worlds outside the Void.

Although she had left the Main World for a period, that time was mostly spent striving to return to the Main World.

After spending a pleasant evening with Big Sis Bai.

I woke up the next morning, feeling refreshed and energetic again.

As the saying goes, a little indulgence is healthy for the spirit, but too much love harms the body.

So Big Sis Bai and I were very mindful of the frequency of our intimacy.

Moreover, the selfless immersion during the night also allowed us to cast aside the troubles of life and made both of us cherish the beauty of life.

After Yi Rui’s persuasion yesterday, I consciously refrained from interfering with their experiment today.

When I stopped interfering with their choices, I suddenly realized that their experimental rhythm was fundamentally different from mine.

It was roughly the difference between professionalism and a rough-and-ready approach.

It seemed that my non-participation might actually be the correct choice, as forcing everyone to adapt to my rhythm would only overshadow their own brilliance.

Since that was the case, I felt relieved.

With no extra burden, I focused on the experiments and recording related to Self-awakened Body Cultivation.

Whether it was Self-awakened Body Cultivation or Self-generating Magic Power, no one could help me.

At least, no one in the Witch Academy could help me.

I had to continuously experiment and understand it myself.

The Totem could not bring me any direct help.

It would only add the finishing touch once I achieved results, but it would certainly not be there to help in a crisis.

The former me had neglected Self-awakened Body Cultivation too much, lacking even the most basic cognition of it, simply using it as it came.

This rough-and-ready approach was like a person with innate Mental Power awakening who had never meditated, didn’t know what the Meditation Method was, didn’t know what cultivating Mental Power was, and wasn’t clear about Mental Strength Thread condensation, yet started casting Spells right away.

Could such a person succeed?

Of course, they could.

It was their advantage, but this power was a castle in the air.

Just like my current Body Cultivation power—it seemed strong, but without a foundational and systematic learning, my progress would likely stop here.

As for my Sixth Sense and Seventh Sense, they were like the intangible power of Mental Power in Spell Cultivation transforming into psychokinesis, shifting from only being able to interfere with the mental and energy levels to a power that could interfere with the material level.

This was a metamorphosis of the sensory channel.

But this was not a fundamental thing; it was a talent-based ability.

Good talent is a gift from God, but personal effort is the beginning of self-improvement.

Therefore, I needed to start learning, or rather, understanding, from the most fundamental Body Cultivation power.

I had Self-awakened Body Cultivation, which meant I had a higher platform, but I also lost the experience of the arduous cultivation process of nothing to having.

This was not simply seeking hardship; this was an experience, and experience is a truly important thing.

The most fundamental form of Body Cultivation relies on Physical Arts training, influencing the life essence in reverse through physical body training.

I was the opposite.

I started with Self-awakened Body Cultivation—a power originating from the life essence—which then derived the absolute control over the physical body.

Therefore, after engaging with Body Cultivation, I once again corrected a mistake of my own.

That is, the physical body and life essence do not seem to be a ”subordinate” relationship, but rather one of mutual accomplishment and influence, existing as an integral whole.

Now I had a congenital advantage, having already mastered the ability of life essence to influence the physical body.

Now, I should learn the most primitive method—the way the physical body influences the life essence.

And this pathway is… Physical Arts.

The Ritual Battle Dance that I learned before could grudgingly be considered a Physical Arts technique, but its essence was a method to enhance physical quality.

Were these Physical Arts related to Body Cultivation?

I pondered for a long time… and the final answer was, yes!

I still remembered the one or two Seniors I met at the Physical Arts Training Hall.

From them, I learned that two things were born from practicing Physical Arts.

One was Body Cultivation Energy, a concept I was already roughly aware of.

This was a Transcendent power born from the combination of Body Cultivation and special power techniques, but the learning threshold was very low, at least from my perspective.

And those Seniors there even took pride in being able to unleash Body Cultivation Energy!

This was enough to show the gap between people.

But what I wanted to talk about was not Body Cultivation Energy.

It was the Martial path Rune that was born after I achieved a high level of proficiency in the Ritual Battle Dance!

The thing I once called a ”resonance effect” was called a ”Martial path Rune” by that Senior.

This was the breakthrough.

I had encountered many types of runes.

Some were similar to Spell Runes, where a single rune could evolve the power of various elements, and a combination could form various effects.

Arranged in a Ritual, they could create more complex and varied forms, and finally, architected into a Spell structure, they could form the most basic Spell effects.

And the Martial path Rune might be similar.

When my Mental Realm Domain integrated the Five Senses Enhancement perception, the imagery of the Five Senses Enhancement was integrated into my Knowledge Power system, transforming into the Five Senses Rune.

Therefore, Runology is also a field that is almost endless to study.

Since I had found the breakthrough, I naturally had to take action.

Experiments are not just about paperwork; hands-on practice is the only way.

Since the Martial path Rune might be the breakthrough to help me understand Self-awakened Body Cultivation, I should master a few more!

If other Body Cultivation students heard this idea, they would probably cry themselves sick in the restroom.

It was incredibly difficult for them to cultivate even one, and I was casually saying I wanted to master a few more…

It must be noted that cultivating a single Physical Art to its final perfection and comprehending the Body Cultivation Rune only resulted in a single Compound Rune.

This meant that if I wanted to form a systematic set of runes, I would need to cultivate more and systematic Physical Arts.

But would I be afraid of this?

No.

Not to mention that I had already mastered a learning technique that others couldn’t learn when I was cultivating the Ritual Battle Dance—integrating the rune system into Physical Arts cultivation.

Coupled with the foundation of Self-awakened Body Cultivation and the assistance of the Great Tree of Knowledge, I didn’t believe I lacked the talent!

So, I immediately sought out Big Sis Bai.

Big Sis Bai had also come to the laboratory with me.

When there was work, she would teach Yi Rui and her team the fundamentals of Body Cultivation.

When there was no work, she would discuss True Editing ideas with Mentor Belica and her team, and so on.

When it comes to cultivating Physical Arts, seeking out Big Sis Bai is always the right choice.
