Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 714: Bai Yu’s Killing Was Still Too Conservative!

The relentless cursing lasted for a long time.

The various Transcendent Academies had never regretted making such a hasty decision so much.

Likewise, they had underestimated the Witches’ means.

After all this commotion, the various Transcendent Academies had witnessed their most shameless side.

Even if they argued that all of this was slander by those people.

But some things cannot be explained away.

Nor will people believe you in their hearts just because you explain.

”Tsk tell me, is what they said all true?”

As the sounds of cursing gradually subsided, those people no longer had the strength or words to vent the pain of feeling abandoned and exploited.

They could only await the arrival of despair.

At this moment, Mei Linde finally spoke, directing the spearhead of the problem toward the collective of allied Transcendent Academies.

”Making a mistake and yet trying to drag their own academies into it to clear their name, speaking so wildly and vulgarly—naturally, their words cannot be taken as evidence.”

The representative of the Transcendent Wizards was now too angry to speak, having felt a sense of ”having grievances but unable to air them” during the preceding period.

So now, of course, he had to completely deny everything.

How could he possibly admit to such a thing?

”The quality of these individuals is truly poor. I take back what I said; there’s no need to transfer these good-for-nothings to our Witch Academy to cause trouble. We don’t want them even if they’re offered. Go back where you came from.”

”What?!”

Hearing Mei Linde say this, the faces of those who had just finished cursing instantly changed.

Not only the students and Teaching Assistants but the Transcendent beings were also momentarily stunned.

Did those Witches use these people up, then deny them, and still not want to resolve the matter?

”Since none of you admit that what these people said is evidence, why would our Witch Academy keep these wastes?”

Mei Linde directly retorted. ”I’m telling you, resolving this matter today is far from over! You must give us an explanation!”

”Right! You guys must give us an explanation!”

At this moment, Mei Linde’s words also garnered the agreement of many Witches behind her.

They were genuinely afraid that Academy Head Mei would just gloss over the matter.

They did not want this to end easily.

Although Xiao Han had only been at the Witch Academy for about a year, and came into their sight for less than a year, she had brought many Witches a lot of fun, and many surprises.

Furthermore, she possessed many good things, such as the Grand Seed of Knowledge and the derived Great Knowledge Sharing Technique—which had the potential to become the second means of interlinking the Witches’ Void architecture, besides the Primal Dream State!

And the Power Network… wait, the Power Network?

At this moment, the Witches who understood these things suddenly realized.

The Grand Seed of Knowledge… this was the Sequence Derivation Spell of the Great Tree of Knowledge.

But… although it was a Sequence Derivation and could exist independently of the Great Tree of Knowledge, the information it couldn’t obtain still needed to be retrieved through the Great Tree of Knowledge.

Perhaps this was not yet so obvious.

Then, what about the Power Network?

What was the Power Network?

It was a Compound Technique architected on the derivative technique of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree’s modification and Xiao Han’s Domain Order framework.

What was Domain Order?

Although some Domains could be traded upon reaching the Saint Stage, a Body Cultivation Domain absolutely could not.

Now the Power Network hadn’t collapsed…

Didn’t that mean… Xiao Han wasn’t dead?

At this moment, some people subconsciously looked at Bai Yu.

The relationship between Bai Yu and Xiao Han was no longer a secret.

When the relationship was first revealed, many Witches thought Xiao Han was unworthy, thinking a Transcendent Witch could never be interested in a non-Transcendent Lesser Witch.

Then, as Xiao Han’s achievements, talents, and abilities were exposed one after another, many Witches wondered how the ordinary Bai Yu, who was pursuing the Ordinary Project, managed to hook up with such a Xiao Han!

Later, when Bai Yu’s Saint Stage level was revealed, and it was a Body Cultivation Domain that even possessed Time Sense… they felt that such a strong Witch like Bai Yu, cough.

Finally, Bai Yu personally stated that her achievement of the Body Cultivation Time Sense was inseparable from Xiao Han…

These constant reversals and explosive pieces of news had made countless Witches fans of this couple until now!

But now… look at Bai Yu at this moment.

Although Bai Yu had angrily made a move and slain several Transcendent beings, this was still not right.

Witches were generally very emotional beings, especially those with exclusive affection, who highly valued their significant other.

In the early legends of Witches, or in the cautionary tales in some worlds about not falling in love with a Witch.

Such a story was told: a Witch fell in love with an ordinary human, and that human was persecuted and killed by the people of that world.

Even after the Witch exterminated the entire world, she still could not move past her grief.

Although the point of the analogy wasn’t entirely correct, making a Witch grieve was a very dangerous thing.

Many Witches were now putting themselves into Bai Yu’s perspective and found that… Bai Yu’s killing was still too conservative!

This was too wrong.

How could Bai Yu only kill these few?

All these academies were involved in the plot to kill Xiao Han; she should have indiscriminately massacred them!

They had just witnessed Bai Yu’s Body Cultivation Power—that crushing power and absolute Time Sense.

Without a comparable level of means, the death of every Transcendent present was merely a matter of who went first.

Could it be… that Bai Yu didn’t love Xiao Han as much as they thought?

And at this moment, Cheryl, who saw things most clearly and was equally confused, once again fixed her gaze on Bai Yu.

Earlier, Cheryl had already warned Bai Yu.

But at that time, Bai Yu said she believed in Xiao Han.

What was this now?

A reversal?

She didn’t believe it.

So, Cheryl also took advantage of the chaotic atmosphere of the crowd and went to Bai Yu’s side.

However, Bai Yu was currently surrounded by many Witches who were comforting her.

”What are you doing here?”

”I’m here to find out the truth. I feel that the whole matter is bizarre and wrong. I must have overlooked something, or there’s something else I’m unaware of.”

……

It ended.

This Joint Exam Hunt, which was supposed to last for seven days, ended prematurely due to this unexpected incident.

To appease the Witches’ wrath, the Transcendent Academies involved in this matter had to provide an explanation.

However, the various Transcendent Academies would absolutely not admit that this was an act of the academy.

Therefore, this explanation… could only be the behavior of individual mentors within the academies, who instructed students to commit the act of persecuting the Witch Academy’s genius student.

They were scapegoats.

The students and Teaching Assistants who were pushed out earlier were not important enough.

The Witch Academy retaliated with a campaign of division, causing them to lose face completely.

Now, the scapegoats had to be elevated to the Transcendent level to be sufficient to calm the incident and the anger.

Only then would they be qualified to leave the Expansion Realm and proceed to the negotiation table.

But this matter was certainly not over; the Witch Academy would continue to leverage this and make difficulties!

Until they were ”satisfied.”

As for how the Witch Academy would deal with the Transcendent beings who were pushed out as scapegoats… killing them would be too wasteful.

After all, Transcendent beings were excellent laborers.

The reason why Witches were so infamous and unpopular in the Void, apart from their penchant for seeking fun, was mainly the Witches’ oppression and enslavement of other races.

The Witch collective was quite vast, leading to the birth of all sorts of Witch groups.

Some Witches liked to wander the Void alone, enjoying their individual brilliance.

Some Witches liked to propagate their faith, then study the Power of Faith, and cultivate believers.

Earlier, Academy Head Mei had asked about the possibility of developing the Fool’s Dream Clan into believers when addressing the issue of their settlement.

Developing believers and faith was not the exclusive privilege of the Holy Angels but a path that all Transcendent life forms who mastered the path of faith were qualified to follow.

The reason why the path of faith flourished was mainly due to the characteristics of the Power of Faith.

The enormous collective of faith converged by the Power of Faith could be used through special means to complete a power interlink.

The object of faith could share their power with their believers, transforming the believers into apostles, and the believers could also contribute power, elevating the power of the object of faith to another level and height.

Thus, faith groups were also a very common large collective in the Void.

Of course, these individuals who were used as scapegoats were not qualified to be included in the faith system.

In addition to faith system groups, Witches also had another force… the Slave Army.

A collective bound by the Witch’s Contract, a collective that could absolutely never betray the Witch, and could do anything for the Witch, even go to their deaths.

These Transcendent beings could be sent into the Slave Army, as a Slave Army at the Transcendent level could accomplish many things!

Apart from these scapegoats, this matter could not simply pass.

The Witches would not hesitate to heavily extort the various academies using this opportunity.

Especially Mei Linde and the Witches who knew the truth.

They were even clearer that time was money.

Once Xiao Han was resurrected, they were looking forward to seeing the enraged expressions of those academies!

This time, the Witch Academy’s counter-strategy was intended to eliminate the hidden agendas of the various academies and bring the matter into the open.

After all, being constantly plotted against by various parties was truly an unpleasant feeling; there was no saying that you could guard against a thief for a thousand days.

Therefore, the Witch Academy followed the opponent’s line of thinking, which ultimately led to the creation of this Joint Exam Hunt.

Of course, it was also used to test a new format of assessment and power system, and to set them up by preparing an opportunity they could not refuse.

This was not simply using Xiao Han as bait, nor was it placing her in danger without considering her safety.

This was an assassination that Xiao Han was inevitably going to experience, and it was also an excellent opportunity for Xiao Han to recognize her own value and predicament.

Instead of waiting for others’ unknown means, it was better to arrange everything within one’s controllable range and then, in turn, deter all those with hidden agendas.

At least, after this move, those people would be well-behaved for a period.

Moreover, Mei Linde had also prepared many backup plans.

She was the Witch who least wanted Xiao Han to be killed so innocently.

Naturally, Academy Head Mei had communicated these matters with Bai Yu, and it took a lot of effort just to convince Bai Yu to agree.

Leaving aside these schemes, every scheme and counter-scheme carries risks.

Since the matter had passed, there was no need to dwell on it.

This Joint Exam Hunt ended prematurely, and the various academies dispersed unhappily.

Upon returning, all the students and Teaching Assistants involved in the Witch Academy were thoroughly investigated.

A large number of Teaching Assistants had their Teaching Assistant status revoked and their student status stripped!

This made this group of people a rare occurrence of expelled students from the Witch Academy.

It must be noted that the worst outcome for someone at the Witch Academy was merely not receiving a graduation certificate.

However, the mass expulsion of students who hadn’t completed their studies, stripping them of their student status, and forcibly removing all Transcendent-related items such as Magic Power Sources and Spellbooks, was extremely rare, especially on such a large scale.

This incident was enough to be called a terrifying great purge within the Witch Academy.

It made everyone within the academy feel insecure.

And no one knew how many families outside the academy were ruined under this great purge, and the Witch Academy didn’t care!

And this was only the internal affair of the Witch Academy.

Externally, the Witch Academy directly confronted all the academies involved.

Some Transcendent Academies that were not qualified to participate in this Joint Exam Hunt were not even entirely clear about what had happened.

Of course, the most miserable was the Dragon Blood Academy.

They participated in a lower-grade student’s Joint Exam Hunt and lost four or five Transcendent beings in one go!

And since their academy was the only one that suffered casualties among so many academies, they were naturally indignant!

Then… the Dragon Blood Academy triggered the ”Witch’s Revenge Buff,” and several Witches led by Bai Yu went and slaughtered a few more Dragon-people.

Then they behaved themselves.

No one dared to speak out for the Dragon Blood Academy, only daring to talk about it privately.

Besides the Dragon Blood Academy, which brought it upon themselves, the other academy that was targeted was the Abyssal Demon Transcendent Academy.

As the ”culprit” and ”scapegoat” for this incident, it suffered joint suppression from several academies, including the Witch Academy.

Since the other academies wanted to clear their names, the narrative of ”Abyssal Demons inciting mentors from various Transcendent Academies to murder a Lesser Witch” had to be firmly established!

In short… with the conclusion of this Joint Exam Hunt, the Main World once again experienced a massive upheaval.

***

Inside Bai Yu’s villa.

”Xiao Han, the Joint Exam Hunt has ended prematurely now, and the efficacy of the contract is also over. Have you had enough fun? Do you want me to resurrect you or will you do it yourself?”

”I’ll do it myself. Where is my original body?”

I had now emerged from the Soul Dream State.

Looking at the Witches gathered here at the moment, I understood that my appearance was also an explanation given by Academy Head Mei Linde to the other Witches who were not fully informed.

”It has been preserved very well.”

At this moment, Bai Yu also took out the well-maintained body.

”Anyway, thank you, Big Sis Bai.”

Seeing my body, I also let out a sigh of relief.

After all, my Reincarnation Spell had not yet reached the level of creating a body out of thin air.

Although I was in a soul state now, due to my Self-generating Magic Power, my Soul essence was the carrier for the Magic Power Source, and my Spellbooks were all within the Spellbook Shelf.

The Spellbook Shelf had already become an ability I myself mastered.

Therefore, even if I died and became a soul state, I could still cast Spells.

Previously, the contract restriction prevented me from using the Reincarnation Spell for self-resurrection.

With the activation of the Reincarnation Spell, I completed my self-resurrection.

This method of self-resurrection truly made many Witches’ eyes light up.

”Phew, I’m finally resurrected. Can you tell me what happened afterward? I’ve been staying in the Dwelling of the Soul and didn’t clearly know what was going on.”

After slightly getting used to it, I looked at the Academy Head again.

Regarding the Academy Head’s decision not to communicate with me beforehand this time, I also had my own little temper.

”And… Academy Head Mei can you tell me what the situation was this time? You didn’t even coordinate with me in advance.”

”Yes, yes, yes, this was my mistake this time. I will give you a satisfactory explanation and compensation.”

At this moment, Academy Head Mei’s Avatar could only respond with a helpless yet indulgent tone.

As for her main body?

She was currently extorting and blackmailing the various academies.
