The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Hearing Liu Yunong finish speaking, Liu Zhangpeng almost thought he misheard!

”I really need to work harder, otherwise I’ll be overshadowed by my apprentice!”

At these words, Liu Zhangpeng was momentarily at a loss!

What does she mean?

Even Wang Yulong, hearing it, turned to look, pondering the origins of Liu Yunong’s words.

In fact, not only Wang Yulong and Liu Zhangpeng but even Liu Yunong herself just realized what she meant.

Although she is still guiding Fu Yu in cooking as a mentor, teaching him the methods of the Liu Family Cuisine.

However, she has a premonition, she’s even certain that in some aspects of culinary skills, Fu Yu is definitely better than her!

In many things, if you don’t have that level, you won’t reach that height!

Fu Yu was able to give such an accurate and fair assessment of her technique last night, definitely because his skills in cooking that dish surpassed hers!

That’s how he could spot the flaws!

And this live-cooked carp dish involves quite a number of culinary skills.

Thinking about it this way, Fu Yu’s true strength is truly astonishing!

Liu Yunong also felt quite emotional, casually saying, ”Actually, the reason I was able to make this dish successfully was because I got guidance from Fu Yu.”

At this point, Liu Zhangpeng suddenly understood.

Indeed!

Fu Yu successfully completed the cooking of this dish just yesterday!

Meanwhile, Wang Yulong was amazed by Liu Yunong’s choice of words.

Guidance?!

It is said that ”in learning, everyone is my teacher.”

My own boss really has a demeanor that is above ordinary people.

Inwardly, he thought, if it were him, he might say it was an exchange or a discussion, but wouldn’t consider it as receiving guidance.

After all, the word ’guidance’ implies being instructed.

It’s somewhat hard to swallow with pride.

Thinking this way, Wang Yulong was even more impressed with his boss, admiring him greatly.

Wang Yulong, deep in thought, took advantage of the moment with no outsiders around, called Liu Zhangpeng over, and advised, ”In the future, when you see Chef Fu, be sure to show courtesy. If there’s anything uncertain in cooking, don’t hesitate to discuss it with him.”

The fact that even Liu Yunong could be guided shows just how exceptional Fu Yu’s cooking is.

Perhaps because his time in the industry is too short, he might not have acquired a comprehensive range of skills, but mastering one thing to perfection is a skill in itself.

Originally, Wang Yulong already had high hopes for Fu Yu, and now he viewed him with even greater respect!

Before, he had his doubts when Liu Yunong broke with tradition to take Fu Yu as an apprentice.

But now, after spending some time together, he realized that Liu Yunong really did find a treasure!

A renowned mentor can indeed produce a talented apprentice!

But the prerequisite is, the apprentice has to have the potential!

If the apprentice lacks talent or interest, it’s futile no matter how skilled the mentor is.

And Fu Yu’s current progress is definitely due in large part to his mentor, Liu Yunong.

If not for Liu Yunong’s careful teaching, how could Fu Yu reach his current level?

Wang Yulong feared his naive apprentice would be ’blind to the true value,’ missing such a great opportunity.

Liu Zhangpeng quickly agreed repeatedly, ”Alright, Master, don’t worry, I’ll definitely respect Chef Fu in the future.”

Actually, without Wang Yulong’s reminder, Liu Zhangpeng was already very good to Fu Yu on a regular basis.

On one hand, it’s because Fu Yu is a decent person, humble, diligent, and with a particularly pleasant personality.

On the other hand, during this time, Fu Yu has often displayed such impressive skills that left others in awe.

Even Liu Zhangpeng admits that in many areas he doesn’t match up to Fu Yu, and he greatly admires him.

A person as excellent as Fu Yu, with qualities that are like shining points, can easily win others’ favor and earn special attention.

After talking about these things, no matter how many times they had sighed privately, Wang Yulong couldn’t help but feel a pang of regret in his heart!

No wonder Liu Yunong broke his own rules to take an apprentice!

With Liu Yunong’s insight, he must have intended to cultivate Fu Yu as his successor.

After all, the little sister of the Liu Family really isn’t cut out for this, so who else could succeed Liu Yunong?

But the fact that Liu Yunong was determined to pass on this ancestral skill to Fu Yu shows his generosity and decisiveness.

Working under such a capable person, there’s definitely a bright future ahead!

Wang Yulong is content and happy, only worrying about his own naive apprentice.

Thus, he advised him carefully.

...

The little year has just passed.

After experiencing a bustling period full of guests, everyone in the shop is clearly relaxed.

Fu Yu took advantage of the break time in the afternoon to candy a plate of walnut kernels, happily took it to the front desk, and offered it to Liu Yuqing as a snack.

These walnut kernels were part of a gift box given by the boss yesterday for the little year, a large bag of raw walnut kernels, plump and fresh from the new harvest.

Fu Yu made amber walnuts, and because they were for Liu Yuqing, besides sugar, he specially added a lot of honey.

The walnuts coated with syrup were like amber, with distinct kernels.

Laid out flat on a plate to cool, they tasted crispy and sweet with each bite.

Liu Yuqing tasted one, immediately felt the lingering aroma, and couldn’t resist trying two more.

Fu Yu, seeing Liu Yuqing enjoying the snack, felt his spirits lifted as well.

Smilingly, he promised, ”I still have half a bag of walnut kernels left, if you like them, I’ll make more for you in a few days.”

Liu Yuqing’s eyes curved with her smile, she was already beautiful, and now, with a radiant smile, her face lit up, her joy spreading from her heart to her eyes as she gazed at Fu Yu’s handsome and gentle face, softly saying, ”Sure, I have a bag too, let’s save them for candying later.”
