The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Every time Liu Yuqing came to the back kitchen to deliver the delivery order in the morning, she never left empty-handed.

”Yo! Today it’s spicy peanuts! They really look appetizing!”

Fu Yu threw a glance and smiled with confidence: ”Haven’t tried it, have you? This is Chef Zhao’s secret specialty, which I have secretly learned. It’s not something we showcase easily. Aside from Chef Zhao, I’m the only one in Bei’an who can make these spicy peanuts so authentically. There’s no third person!”

Liu Yuqing didn’t even bother washing her hands, pinched two peanuts, and tossed them into her mouth to chew.

Hey, no kidding!

These spicy peanuts are golden in color, flavorful inside and out, crunchy in texture, integrating Northern and Southern flavors, with a perfect blend of spicy, salty, sweet, and savory tastes.

Liu Yuqing ate a few more before her mouth was free enough to say repeatedly, ”It’s really delicious!”

Almost as soon as she finished speaking, an electronic alert sounded in Fu Yu’s ear:

[Ding! Liu Yuqing, the NPC delivery clerk, has increased her intimacy favorability: +1]

Fu Yu felt overjoyed.

This little girl is easy to please, give her some good food, and you can boost her favorability level.

It shows that to capture a woman’s heart, you must first capture her stomach!

Fu Yu changed his methods daily to boost Liu Yuqing’s favorability.

Everything was going smoothly.

Except for one thing.

Even though he had been learning diligently and working hard at Shangshi Private Kitchen lately, why was Liu Yunong’s favorability towards him declining rapidly?

Sometimes, even while lying in bed in the dormitory, he suddenly heard an electronic alert in his ear:

[Ding! Liu Yunong, the NPC chef, has decreased her favorability: -1]

Inexplicable!

How could favorability suddenly drop like this?

Fu Yu racked his brains trying to recall if he did something wrong at Shangshi Private Kitchen.

No, he hadn’t!

Maybe it was something he said while carpooling back that annoyed Liu Yunong?

Seemed like no.

Thinking it over, he couldn’t figure it out.

Fu Yu couldn’t help but sigh.

Forget it!

A woman’s heart is like a needle at the bottom of the ocean.

Truly unpredictable and unclear!

Fu Yu shook his head. As long as he wasn’t kicked out as an apprentice, losing some favorability didn’t matter.

No need to be too tense.

Just go with the flow!

When he went to Shangshi Private Kitchen that evening, Fu Yu paid special attention to Liu Yunong’s attitude.

Her tone of voice hadn’t changed; her attitude towards him remained the same.

Strange!

However, Fu Yu showed even more diligence and effort while learning cooking.

All talk and no action.

Ultimately, everything depends on actual performance.

Indeed, hard work always pays off.

After closing up at night, Fu Yu, as usual, carpooled with Liu Yunong back to the dormitory.

Along the way, they chatted and laughed, and the atmosphere was harmonious.

Just before getting out of the car, Liu Yunong suddenly instructed, ”Tomorrow’s menu includes the stuffed dishes banquet. If there’s nothing else, try to come earlier.”

Upon hearing this, Fu Yu was immediately delighted.

He hadn’t heard of the stuffed dishes banquet, but if it was on the menu, it must be a secret dish.

Actually, upon careful thought, Liu Yunong was really good to him. She never held back when instructing him in cooking, and she taught him the exclusive cooking techniques of the Liu Family Cuisine.

To let him get familiar with all the cooking secrets quickly, she meticulously selected the menu every day.

Fu Yu understood in his heart that Liu Yunong genuinely treated him well, regarding him as an apprentice, and was very dedicated.

Fu Yu’s face lit up with joy, and he said with a smile, ”Alright, I’ll come earlier tomorrow. Hehe! Thank you, Master!”

Liu Yunong smiled, feeling somewhat conflicted.

Strangely enough, recently when she looked at Fu Yu, she felt somewhat disgruntled, finding fault quite easily.

But today, looking at Fu Yu, she found him much more agreeable.

Moreover, maybe it’s because of something she liked that she couldn’t resist wanting to groom this apprentice a bit.

Because she really appreciated Fu Yu.

Liu Yunong always thought Fu Yu was very talented and had a promising future.

So even though she couldn’t help but criticize Fu Yu because of her sister, deep down, she really wanted Fu Yu to learn more and achieve success sooner.

He can’t possibly spend his entire life working in the back kitchen, working for others, can he?

Hearing Fu Yu’s response, Liu Yunong smiled lightly; this kid is actually quite endearing.

So she nodded: ”Alright, hurry back and get some rest.”

Fu Yu bade farewell, jumped out of the car, and walked back to the dormitory with a spring in his step.

Once inside, he didn’t rush to wash up but quickly replied to the message Liu Yuqing had sent earlier.

When he got out of the car, he distinctly felt his phone vibrate, but he was busy saying goodbye to Liu Yunong and didn’t have the chance to check it.

[Liu Yuqing: Did you get home safely?]

Fu Yu couldn’t help but grin and swiftly replied: [Just got in, what about you, haven’t you rested yet?]

After sending the message, Fu Yu didn’t wait for a reply but changed his clothes and went to the bathroom to wash up.

Lately, every night before bed, he would exchange messages with Liu Yuqing for a while.

They didn’t talk about anything substantial, but there always seemed to be endless things to say.

In the first two days, Fu Yu took the initiative to call Liu Yuqing, but each time, the call would end abruptly due to Liu Yuqing’s family returning late.

So later, they just exchanged messages.

After washing up, lying on the bed, Fu Yu chatted with Liu Yuqing on and off for a bit.
