The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

He knew well that what he needed was the opportunity for communication and learning.

Wang Yulong was increasingly amazed the more he watched!

The more he watched, the more satisfied he was.

Through this cooking session, he could learn a lot.

However...

Compared to Wang Yulong, who was at ease physically and mentally, Liu Yunong couldn’t help but sigh a little.

Sigh...

Ever since Fu Yu started coming over every day to learn cooking by her side, whenever Liu Yunong was at the stove, Fu Yu was always there as her assistant.

Usually, it didn’t make much difference, but at busy times like now, having a different assistant always felt lacking in a way...

Thinking of this, Liu Yunong couldn’t help but let out a sigh.

When Fu Yu was around, it really put her at ease; not only did it save on words, but she didn’t have to be distracted by these minor tasks.

When Fu Yu was assisting, they could understand each other with just a look, and before she even needed something, Fu Yu would already have the necessary tools prepared in advance.

Having someone who anticipates every need as an assistant, the comfort level is imaginable.

Liu Yunong couldn’t help but shake her head.

No wonder they say going from extravagance to frugality is difficult!

However, she also needed to be mindful.

She couldn’t continue like this any longer.

If it became difficult to please her like this in the future, what would she do?

After all, Fu Yu couldn’t possibly be by her side as an assistant every day.

Thinking of this, Liu Yunong couldn’t help but sigh deeply again.

She felt a little disappointed.

Meanwhile, Wang Yulong watched as Liu Yunong, with a composed expression, extracted the cotton pellets from the fish belly.

From start to finish, her hands did not tremble, and her feet did not quiver.

Instantly, he felt very reassured inside.

It seemed to be a success!

Who would have thought that after just one night, Liu Yunong’s culinary skills had improved so much?

It’s no wonder people say comparisons just make you throw things!

In terms of talent, it’s hard not to be convinced.

Thinking about the Liu Family’s lineage, and then thinking about his own family,

It’s really incomparable!

Thinking of this, Wang Yulong couldn’t help but become even more humble.

He made up his mind to continue honing his culinary skills in the future and not to be prideful and conceited.

Since Liu Yunong was willing to entrust the branch’s kitchen to him, he had to fulfill his duties responsibly.

And for a chef, the place where he can best demonstrate his value is his exquisite culinary skills.

Liu Yunong continued cooking.

She poured the prepared sauce over the carp, sprinkled it with chopped scallions and pepper, drizzled a little sesame oil, and added a few red chili peppers for garnish.

Liu Yunong’s actions were seamless and fluid.

Watching from the side, Wang Yulong found it thrilling, and he exclaimed in enjoyment.

And at this moment, Liu Yunong took a clean napkin, balled it up, dipped it in white wine, and squeezed it into the fish’s gills.

The next second, the fish’s mouth opened and closed, and its whole body twitched.

It actually worked!

Even someone as composed as Wang Yulong couldn’t help but clap his hands in excitement!

Incredible!

Just yesterday, Liu Yunong couldn’t smoothly complete the cooking of this dish!

Wang Yulong sincerely praised, ”Boss, that was amazing!”

Liu Yunong’s culinary operations were indeed precise and subtle, leaving people in awe!

Wang Yulong looked at Liu Yunong with a face full of admiration.

As for Liu Yunong, she maintained a composed expression, merely smiling slightly in response to the praise.

She then instructed the server to take the plate away.

However, this was only on the surface.

In fact...

At this moment, Liu Yunong’s mind was already celebrating with fireworks...

Success!

Wonderful!

Even though she had already successfully wrapped the cardiac septum twice while practicing fish cutting,

This was still the first complete cooking attempt since yesterday’s failure.

Liu Yunong’s excitement was beyond words.

However, with her years of experience, she was always good at hiding her emotions.

So even though her heart was pounding with excitement, she remained calm and composed on the surface.

The live-cooked carp was served, and the remaining dishes in the meal were no longer challenging.

This also meant that Liu Yunong’s personal culinary showcase was about to conclude!

Wang Yulong thoroughly enjoyed watching, but couldn’t help feeling a bit regretful!

Witnessing such a culinary performance was a visual feast and a mental enjoyment.

The techniques and cooking skills learned and understood from it were another step to improve his culinary skills.

It’s a pity...

The time was just too short.

Other than this dish, the rest were the restaurant’s signature dishes.

Although the menu at Shangshi Private Kitchen changes daily with different dishes.

Wang Yulong has stayed in the kitchen for decades.

He has repeatedly practiced all the Liu Family Cuisine dishes, and in terms of technique and operation skills, he is actually far superior to Liu Yunong.

After all, compared to Liu Yunong who has a broad perspective, quick reactions, and considerable talent in cooking, as well as being diligent and capable herself.

Wang Yulong’s strength lies in his long years of work and rich experience.

And in culinary arts, the most precious and rare thing is cooking experience and skills.

What interested Wang Yulong was not Liu Yunong’s casual cooking operations, but complex and skilled dishes like the live-cooked carp.

Only dishes like these can showcase the unique and exquisite culinary skills and techniques of Liu Yunong.

While Wang Yulong was filled with emotions and quietly returned to his station, buried in work.

Liu Yunong glanced at the clock on the wall without a trace and sighed silently.

Although she succeeded, the speed was still somewhat slow.

The live-cooked carp, from completion to serving, should ideally keep the fish’s mouth and tail moving for half an hour.

So during cooking in the kitchen, it’s important to try and improve the speed.

The faster the dish is served, the longer the customers can enjoy watching.

And today’s cooking operation was a whole seven minutes slower than Fu Yu’s operation yesterday.

No matter what, there’s still a lack of practice after all...

However, having risen to her current position, Liu Yunong has long learned to remain impassive regardless of the situation.

Even if she felt a bit frustrated inside, she showed no sign of it on her face.

Today is the Little New Year.

There will be plenty of opportunities for improvement in cooking skills in the future.

Right now, the most important thing is to take orders, cook, and earn a lot of money!

...

Wang Yulong stood in front of the kitchen table, filled with emotions.

And Liu Zhangpeng, who just got a break, saw Liu Yunong busy cooking, and hurriedly took the opportunity to move beside Wang Yulong, asking softly, ”Master, did the boss really succeed in the live-cooked carp just now?”

Wang Yulong nodded and praised, ”She really did, you should’ve seen it, the carp’s mouth and tail were still moving!”

”The boss is truly amazing, this level of culinary arts is simply extraordinary!”

”Just yesterday, she wasn’t able to do this, but today, her skills seemed like they’ve come from someone else, and you don’t even know, the boss also improved the wrapping method, it’s especially useful... truly astonishing!”

Liu Zhangpeng clicked his tongue secretly.

Because he was multitasking, both cooking and wanting to watch Liu Yunong cook, he missed many details.

Now, hearing Wang Yulong’s continuous praise, he felt he had missed out a lot!

But besides that, he also became more convinced in his boss’s capabilities.

There was a specialty dish on today’s menu that required premium ham.

Liu Yunong, seeing everyone else busy, simply took the opportunity during her free time to get one from the storage herself.

Ham is bulky and heavy.

Although Liu Yunong has been wielding the wok since childhood and has good arm strength, seeing such a slim and delicate woman carrying a large ham, most people would naturally feel uneasy.

Liu Zhangpeng had just finished plating a dish, and seeing this, hurried over to lend a hand.

Taking advantage of helping move the ham, Liu Zhangpeng flattered Liu Yunong, praising, ”Boss, you are incredible! Live-cooked carp is such a demanding dish, and you nailed it in just one night!”

Liu Yunong, having grown up in the main branch, was like family with the master chefs in the kitchen.

Hearing this, she didn’t intend to say much.

But seeing Liu Zhangpeng excessively praising her, she felt slightly embarrassed.

So, Liu Yunong couldn’t help but explain, ”Ah... Actually, it’s because I got some guidance that I’ve improved.”

Liu Zhangpeng was instantly taken aback!

Someone could guide Liu Yunong in cooking?

Who could that be?

Liu Yunong was also deeply moved, mentioning it, she couldn’t help but smile and sigh, ”I always hear you all talk about how the newcomers surpass the veterans, now, I truly understand it. I must work harder, otherwise, my apprentice might really surpass me!”
