Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1573: Chapter 1573: At Worst, She’ll Support Him

Enna Clark received a video call from Bobby in her small office, and since Baron Lawrence had gone to another meeting, she directly answered Bobby’s video call.

After a burst of static on the phone screen, her home’s Bobby popped up.

Dressed in a fluffy green dinosaur onesie and dragging a pair of adult men’s slippers on his feet, Bobby held a mug in his hands. He lifted his head to take a sip, and immediately, a milky white trace clung to the corner of his mouth.

Enna Clark had no idea where he had the video connected to, but judging by his relaxed demeanor, she knew it wasn’t to his phone.

She guessed he had probably linked the call to the TV in the living room, or maybe the projector in the study.

After quickly finishing his milk, Bobby noticed the video call was connected. He sat down on the couch beside him, and casually picked up the iPad on the table to place it on his lap, saying, “Lady, let me tell you about the situation with Dubious Man next door. His stocks keep falling, and the shortfall in liquid funds is now out in the open. Plus, with Dubious Man’s sister frequently in contact with the major shareholder of Lawrence Corporation, the pressure is really piling up on him. And if this continues, it’s definitely not good for Dubious Man. What’s your plan?”

Enna Clark couldn’t help but laugh and cry, “Bobby, you’re not even 8 years old yet!”

What kid under 8 pays attention to these things?

“8 is only 2 away from being an adult!” Bobby, who disliked anyone using his age against him, pouted in protest.

“Since when did the age of adulthood become 10?” Enna Clark teased him on purpose.

Leaning casually against the couch, Bobby wasn’t the least bit agitated. He confidently and righteously said, “16 is the internationally recognized age of adulthood! 8 times 2 equals 16, so I’m just 2 away.”

Not giving Enna Clark any chance to strike back, he immediately complained, “Lady, are you being too chill about this? With Dubious Man in such a state, aren’t you worried?”

“Worried about what?” Enna Clark was far more composed than he was, and with a smile curving her lips, she had clairvoyance, “The worst-case scenario is failing to get through this tough spot. Even if he can’t make it, there’s you and me. In the future, I’ll support him! And I believe in him.”

No matter how negative the outlook for Lawrence Corporation seemed from the outside, she believed in Baron Lawrence.

Because that man was a genius.

She didn’t believe he would continue to be oppressed by Skye Lawrence without fighting back.

Besides, life can’t always be smooth sailing. If Baron Lawrence really did capsize in the gutter this time, she was there for him!

In the past, it had always been Baron Lawrence taking care of her, so it wouldn’t be a big deal if this time it was her turn to take care of him.

“I didn’t say I’d take care of Dubious Man, though,” Bobby turned his head away, uncomfortable, looking as if ‘I didn’t say anything, you’re the one talking to yourself.’

Too bad he showed concern for Baron Lawrence from the beginning of this video call, and now his words held no persuasion.

Realizing his words lacked persuasion, Bobby turned back, strained a cool, handsome expression on his little face, and said somewhat reluctantly, “If he doesn’t spend money so recklessly, I might consider it.” After all, Dubious Man was too wasteful!

Enna Clark stifled a laugh, but her eyes shone with starry lights. She switched the phone to her other hand and said with a laugh, “Relax. Don’t think too much, trust your Dad.”
