Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1554: Chapter 1554: No matter what happens, believe in me!

Enna Clark struggled a bit, but unable to break free, let him hold her hand casually.

The front desk had seen Baron Lawrence, so the President’s secretary office must have received the news as well.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, Baron Lawrence’s assistant and secretary were already waiting outside, “President, you’re back.”

Immediately following that, their gaze involuntarily fell on the hand that Enna Clark was being firmly held by. After just a glance, they quickly averted their eyes and followed close behind Baron Lawrence, “President, would you like to look at the reports first, or should we arrange the meeting now?”

Baron Lawrence strode with long steps towards the President’s office. The poor assistant had to jog to keep up, reporting on the company’s various matters while jogging, “The Vice President just had an emergency meeting with the heads of each department… Yes… The Vice President said, if the President returns, to give him a call.”

“I know,” Baron Lawrence was aware of which Vice President he was referring to, not Skye Lawrence, but Nicholas Lawrence.

His brow furrowed, he arranged his plans with swift decisiveness, “Prepare for it, in one hour, I want to hold a press conference!”

Baron Lawrence wanted to hold a press conference?!

Enna Clark was shocked, could the situation be even more complex than she thought?

To know, Baron Lawrence was the kind of person who rarely accepted media interviews and didn’t like them either. Although he had been named as a highly eligible bachelor online for consecutive years, there were actually very few photos of him on the internet. Even the gossip about him used photos from a long time ago when he accepted interviews.

The assistant also knew Baron Lawrence’s personality and was stunned for a moment, but reacted quickly and immediately said, “President Lawrence, I will contact the media reporters right now.”

An hour later, the time was tight; he needed to notify all the major media outlets as soon as possible.

For such a rare interview opportunity, the media would certainly not want to miss it. There would surely be many people coming, and many intricate details needed preparing.

For instance, checking the identities of the journalists entering, arranging for water, how to set up the seating, and other things like these…

Baron Lawrence didn’t concern himself with these details and pulled Enna Clark into the President’s office.

It had been a month since Enna Clark had been here. Baron Lawrence’s office was still just as minimalist and commanding as when she left, with a whole wall of floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the city’s landscape.

The spacious office’s decor was dominated by black and white, simple but not plain. Just by looking at the office, one could tell the character of the person who occupied it.

Baron Lawrence sat down on the sofa.

Scott Harris immediately showed initiative, “Lord, Ms. Clark, I’ll go make some coffee and bring it in.”

Before leaving, he also conveniently closed the door behind him.

Baron Lawrence rubbed his throbbing temples.

Seeing his tired and irritated demeanor, Enna Clark couldn’t help but offer, “Baron Lawrence, with the press conference later, do you want me…”

She wanted to offer her help.

Her words had not yet finished when the hand that held hers tightened fiercely, pulling her into an embrace. Her bottom lip was suddenly sealed, as if in punishment, conquest!

What kind of madness was he pulling now?

Enna Clark’s tongue tip hurt from the kiss, and she involuntarily reached out to push him, “Baron Lawren…mmh!”

The corner of her mouth was bitten.

Immediately after, she was met with a pair of dominant and assertive eyes—

“Don’t you trust me?”

Enna Clark was taken aback by the question. What did this have to do with trust?

“I…”

“You don’t have to do anything, I only want you to do one thing—trust me! Enna Clark, no matter what happens, always trust me! Stay by my side, and don’t leave my line of sight!”
