Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1564: Chapter 1564: Mouth says one thing, body is very honest

“This is the place you said was very tasty?” Baron Lawrence swept a glance over the wooden stools, which had some spots so worn they were reflective from frequent use.

He knitted his brows as if he could trap a fly between them, clearly disgusted and unwilling to sit.

Enna Clark knew about his mysophobia. She grabbed him, pulled him down to the stool next to her, and then said, “I found it on my phone. A lot of people come here to eat in the vicinity. Let’s try it, and if it’s not good, we can go somewhere else.”

With Baron Lawrence’s temperament, even trying would not normally include a place like this!

However, seeing Enna so interested, he twisted his eyebrows but still did not say they should leave.

The server brought over the menu, poured them a cup of tea, and then hurried off to other tasks.

Enna ordered several dishes she had found online to be tasty, handed the menu back to the server, and said, “And bring us a bottle of ‘Wang Lao Ji’ please.”

It’s essential to have a drink that cools you down with barbecue.

“Sure,” said the server, taking the menu and bustling away.

It wasn’t long before the charcoal, grill, and grilling paper were brought out along with the dishes Enna ordered. She placed a slice of beef and pork belly in the middle of the grill and arranged a few scallops around the edges until the grill was full.

Baron Lawrence watched as she neatly managed the items on the grill; the charcoal fire cast a warm and comfortable glow on her clean and elegant face, and for some reason, he suddenly felt an urge to eat.

Soon, the beef was ready.

Enna Clark placed it on his plate and passed him the dipping sauce, “There are several different sauces here. I read in the reviews that their sweet and spicy sauces are the best. Want to try them and see which you like?”

Baron Lawrence sampled the sweet sauce.

To his surprise, it tasted good.

“The sweet sauce is nice,” he said.

It was completely different from the barbecue he had eaten before.

If Enna could hear what he was thinking, she would definitely mock him. Of course, the flavors were different; the barbecue he had eaten before was all cooked by renowned chefs with complex methods, top-notch ingredients, and also had to be healthy and nutritious, which obviously differed from the roadside barbecue she had grilled.

By the time he had finished the beef, Enna had already wrapped a lettuce pork belly for him, “Try this one. I dipped it in spicy sauce.”

He took it but asked, “Enna Clark, aren’t you going to eat?”

Without blinking an eye, she replied, “Of course I’ll eat. I just wanted you to try the flavor first. There’s plenty. We can grill more later.”

Letting him try the flavor first!

So it wasn’t about accommodating his feelings and letting him eat first!

Baron Lawrence’s handsome face turned dark as he glanced at her. Enna thought he didn’t want it, but then she heard his low, husky command, “Feed me!”

Enna had fed him before, and it didn’t cause her any psychological pressure. She fed him the wrapped lettuce pork belly.

Baron Lawrence, in his neat suit, exuded the full aura of a business elite. His proud eagle eyes stared at her face as he opened his mouth and took a bite.

“How is it?” Enna cared about the taste, as with his mysophobia, he would definitely want to change restaurants if it wasn’t good.

Baron Lawrence chewed a couple of times, his eagle eyes narrowing, and his deep features relaxed, “So-so.”

He claimed it to be mediocre, but his actions betrayed his true feelings as he finished off the remaining pork belly in Enna’s hand. Then he instructed, “This is good, grill more of this.”
