Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1539: Chapter 1539: Enna Clark Stands Up for Someone

“*retch*—”

Following her closely, Enna Clark immediately bent down to help Olivia Lewis along her back, asking anxiously, “Does it feel really bad? Do we have any sobering medicine here?”

Olivia Lewis was vomiting so uncontrollably that she seemed utterly unaware of her surroundings, as if she was about to heave out her internal organs.

Seeing her state, Enna Clark took a deep breath, gently patted her back for a while, waiting for her to vomit less intensely before turning and hurrying to the living room.

After searching high and low, Enna found the Medicine Box and located the trusty sobering medicine inside. She filled a cup with warm water and, holding the medicine, hurried back.

In the bathroom, Olivia had stopped vomiting, but her face was still very red. Her lips, on the contrary, looked a bit pale and colorless as if she was tired, leaning there.

Enna knelt down, gave her a pat, and said, “Olivia, wake up.”

Olivia was dizzy and felt the world spinning but wasn’t close to fainting. After Enna patted her, she struggled to open her eyes and looked over.

Enna used the opportunity to bring the medicine to her lips, coaxing softly, “Come on, open your mouth, take the medicine, and you won’t feel bad anymore.”

Olivia was already quite drunk, and since she was certain the person by her side was Enna Clark, she let down her guard. When the person beside her told her to open her mouth, she did just that.

Enna fed her the medicine and then had her take a few sips of water to swallow the pill. Only then did she wash a hot cloth and wiped Olivia’s face before helping her up, “Come on, I’ll help you to bed to rest a bit.”

“Mmm…”

Although Olivia Lewis, who was 168 cm tall, appeared quite tall, she always managed her diet rigorously. Hence, despite her height, she was not very heavy. Enna effortlessly helped her to the bed and tucked her in with a blanket.

Perhaps because lying in bed was more comfortable, the red-faced person with closed eyes relaxed considerably, furrowed her brow, had a bit of mist still remaining on her eyelashes from before, and fell into a deep sleep.

Enna stayed by her bedside, and once she was sure Olivia was asleep, she quietly tidied up the balcony area. Then she tiptoed to close the door of the bedroom, walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows, pulled out her phone, found Adam Sinclair’s number, and made the call.

…

Three minutes later, in the deafening noisiness of the bar room, the man whose emotions could not be discerned, lounging on the sofa, put away his phone, with a tempest suddenly stirring in his eyes.

The people in the room were partying at their peak.

Suddenly, he stood up, picked up his coat that was placed aside, and said, “You guys keep having fun. Remember, no matter who asks, pretend I’m still with you! And if anyone comes looking for me, just say I’ve taken someone back to the hotel.”

The roomful of people exchanged puzzled looks. Though they didn’t understand what he meant, they didn’t dare offend him and nodded in agreement.

“I’ll cover the bill tonight. Have fun.”

After saying that, he left without a backward glance.

As soon as he left the room, he received a call from his mom. He picked up the phone and deliberately walked to a noisy spot before answering, “Hello, I’m not coming back, yeah, no time, we’ll talk about it next time, alright, that’s it.”

After finishing, he hung up the call, turned off his phone, tossed it into his coat pocket, and strode outside. He pulled open the door of the car waiting for him and directed the driver, “To the Elysion Resort.”
