Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1526: Chapter 1526: Startled into Belching

“Brubby, I want it.” Gigi looked longingly at the Pineapple Rice, then turned her imploring gaze to Bobby.

Unfortunately, this time it didn’t work.

Tobias Clark firmly took her hand, “Even if you want it, you can’t have it! No means no!”

The little girl was just over one year old, what did she know? As soon as she heard she couldn’t have what she wanted to eat, her mouth puckered up, and before she could even begin to wail…

Tobias Clark’s obsidian-like eyes were already glaring at her, “No crying! Hold it in!”

The cry that the little girl had been brewing suddenly got stuck in her throat, and perhaps it was too sudden, with a hiccup, she let out a burp, “Hic.”

If it were any other girl who lost her composure in front of him like that, he would have left her behind long ago, but Gigi wasn’t just anyone. Despite his visible disdain, he still kept a stern face and smoothly patted her back, and his voice was slightly less severe, though he didn’t relent, “Anyway, you can’t have this. If you’re good, I’ll give you a lollipop when we get back. If you’re not, the lollipop we agreed on today will be taken away.”

When he said he would take it away, he was not making empty threats.

Gigi had already had countless lollipops taken away by him for various reasons.

As expected.

Hearing that the lollipop she was about to receive could be taken away, the little girl, who had just reddened her eyes, preparing to cry her way to her goal, immediately clung to his sleeve, reluctantly saying, “Gigi is good.”

That aggrieved, milky voice was drawn out so pitifully.

But when it came to this matter, Enna Clark and Bobby were on the same front.

It wasn’t that she was reluctant to buy it for her, just as Bobby said, Gigi couldn’t eat these things; the sugar content was too high, and they weren’t sanitary. Gigi was too young and had poor immunity; she couldn’t risk Gigi’s health.

So when Bobby disciplined Gigi, she didn’t interject.

Only after Gigi herself said she wouldn’t eat it did she crouch down, pick up the little girl who looked as wilted as a frostbitten eggplant, and say, “There, there, our Gigi is the best. Brother bought you a little bear and a butterfly hair tie, didn’t he? Later, Mummy will tie your hair up in the car, using the little bear hair tie Brother bought for you, okay?”

The emotions of children come and go quickly, and sure enough, her attention was diverted, “…okay.”

Enna Clark held her, one hand outstretched, holding onto the young boy beside her, took a deep breath, and smiled radiantly, “All right, let’s go back, or Little Uncle will start to worry about you two.”

Tobias Clark felt a moment of awkwardness being led by her but didn’t pull away.

Enna Clark, with one in her arms and holding onto another, walked toward the exit.

Scott Harris was already waiting there; seeing them return, he quickly opened the car door, “Ms. Clark, Young Master.”

Then, turning to Gigi, his smile warmed and his voice softened, “Miss.”

Giselle Lawrence could now clearly distinguish the meaning of the word ‘Uncle’ and wouldn’t call every male she liked ‘Uncle’ anymore. She sweetly called out to Scott Harris, “Uncle Harris.”

Her pronunciation was incredibly accurate.

Scott Harris beamed with joy and took out a small toy from his bag, “Miss is really well-behaved; this is for you to play with, I bought it while I was abroad.”

The fact that he always carried the toy he bought for Gigi with him showed just how fond he was of her.

Although Gigi was young, she already knew about reciprocal kindness. Taking the toy from Scott Harris, she hesitated for a moment, then handed one of the two hair ties Bobby had bought her, the butterfly hair tie, to Scott Harris, “For you, for you.”
