Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1149: Chapter 1149: Paranoid Love to the Bone Chapter 1149: Chapter 1149: Paranoid Love to the Bone The Lawrence Family home was equipped with intercoms in every room, and ten minutes after Enna Clark made an internal call, a doctor clad in a white coat and carrying a medicine box had arrived at the door.

“Ms. Clark, where is the Young Master?”

“He’s in the study, come with me.”

“Okay.”

The doctor followed behind her.

It was only upon leading the doctor into the study did Enna realize that a certain man of steel was busy at work again. She snatched the documents from his hands irritably and set them aside, then said to the doctor, “Please check his back. His wound has torn open again.”

The personal doctor was shocked to see her casually taking things from Baron Lawrence’s hands and putting them aside, secretly amazed in his heart.

What level of indulgence had the Young Master extended to Ms. Clark for her to be able to take his things so casually? Didn’t a servant who had entered the study to deliver coffee while the Young Master was working get thrown out of the castle, bag and all, by the Young Master that very afternoon?

“Alright.” He gained a new level of reverence for Enna Clark in his heart, hastily agreeing as he put his things down and said to Baron Lawrence, “Young Master, please have a seat on the sofa.”

Baron Lawrence stood up, but instead of heading to the sofa, he said impatiently to Enna standing beside him, “You, get out.”

“I’m staying.” She needed to see the extent of his injury for herself and would not allow her to look.

Without another word, Baron Lawrence grabbed her wrist and dragged her toward the door.

There was a natural difference in strength between men and women. Her power was no match for Baron Lawrence, and she staggered along as he pulled her to the doorway.

“Baron Lawrence, Baro…”

Before she could finish her sentence, she was shut outside.

With a bang, the door to the study was locked!

Her nose hit the cold door.

Enna Clark raised her hand and knocked on the door, “Baron Lawrence, open the door!”

“Let me in!”

Inside the room.

The personal doctor dared not say a word, watching as the austere man walked toward him, appearing as if he heard nothing of the knocking at the door.

“Young Master, Ms. Clark…” was still knocking outside.

“Let her knock.”

The proud and lofty man with the serene falcon-like eyes took off his shirt and sat down on the sofa.

“Begin.”

The personal doctor didn’t dare waste more words, took out the scissors, and began to address the wound. It was only then that he noticed the wound underneath wasn’t too severe, but closer to the shoulder, the wound had split open and blood had soaked through the bandage. It had not shown through only because he was wearing a black sweater.

Besides that, there was a bruise on the shoulder area, likely caused by an impact with a heavy object.

As if he had taken a punch.

The personal doctor curiously snipped away the bandage, wondering.

How did the Young Master get punched?

Especially on the back of the shoulder?

This area could only be injured while protecting someone else with one’s back.

Could it be that the Young Master sustained such severe injuries protecting Ms. Clark? And then, knowing the wound on his shoulder was so bad, he didn’t want Ms. Clark to see it and feel guilty, which is why he so authoritatively locked her outside just now?

This…

The personal doctor, hearing the persistent knocking from outside and looking at the handsome man who had already closed his eyes, became even more certain of his speculation.

The Young Master was hurt protecting Ms. Clark but worried she would feel guilty seeing his injuries. This was not just loving Ms. Clark desperately; it was an obsessive love that went to the bone!
