Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1130: Chapter 1130: The Old Man Wants to See Her? Chapter 1130: Chapter 1130: The Old Man Wants to See Her? Three hours later, the banquet in Country W ended.

Enna Clark rode back to the old residence.

Along the way, although the cold man hadn’t said a single word, he firmly held her hand the whole time, the warmth from the palm of his hand continuously transmitting to her, giving her a feeling of warmth.

Enna Clark knew he was deliberately not speaking, wanting her to calm her emotions by herself.

Seeing him tense up his back as if facing a great enemy, a trace of helplessness flashed in Enna’s eyes.

After all, she knew very well what kind of person Jacob Clark was; it wasn’t as if she had only found out today.

She was just once again taken aback by Jacob Clark’s new definition of the word shameless!

To say she wasn’t a bit upset would be a lie, anyone who went through such an ordeal would feel upset. But it was just that, she wouldn’t let it completely affect her mood like before.

What she was more worried about now was his reputation.

After such an incident, Baron Lawrence had lost face along with her, she…

Enna Clark took a deep breath and pushed down the discomfort in her heart.

The Lincoln stopped at the entrance, and immediately someone pulled open the car door, “Ms. Clark, Young Master. Welcome home.”

It was the Housekeeper.

Baron Lawrence was the first to get out of the car, not forgetting to hold her hand as he did, and while Enna felt helpless, her heart grew warmer.

She followed and got out of the car.

The Housekeeper glanced at their joined hands, clearly seeing that it was Baron Lawrence who domineeringly held Enna’s hand, and recalling the news he had heard earlier, his eyes filled with concern as he said, “Ms. Clark, Old Lord wants to see you.”

Baron Lawrence suddenly stopped walking, his tall figure impressively tense, his hawk-like eyes narrowing defensively in front of Enna Clark, and he replied, “No!”

Damn, the Old Man wanting to see Enna Clark at this time could not be anything good!

It must be about the incident at the banquet that the Old Man had come to know of!

Shit!

Enna Clark felt the strength within her fingers suddenly increase, knowing what he was thinking. But such an incident had occurred, and avoidance wasn’t a solution.

“Okay, right now?”

“Enna Clark, you are not allowed to go!” Baron Lawrence’s brows furrowed as if to tie knots, his thin lips pressed into a straight line, his eagle eyes glaring at her, his stance clear, “Tell the Old Man, Enna Clark doesn’t have time and won’t see him!”

She was a guest at the Lawrence Family home, how could she possibly not have time? This kind of lie that not even a kindergarten child would believe, he actually managed to say with such righteous indignation, Enna was floored.

She didn’t pay attention to Baron Lawrence, calmly looking towards the Housekeeper, still insisting on her own words, “If now, then I’ll go right away.”

No sooner had she spoken than her left hand was pulled sharply, abruptly dragging her aside, causing her to reflexively look at the man who was pulling her.

She saw the handsome man resembling Apollo, burning flames in his hawk-like eyes as he growled through clenched teeth, “Enna Clark, can’t you understand human language or what! I told you, you’re not going, no meeting!”

“You think there’s something good in him wanting to see you? I’m hungry, come back with me, keep me company for dinner!”

With that, he strode forward, forcefully trying to pull her along to go back.

However, Enna Clark stood her ground, motionless, not heeding his words.

Baron Lawrence pulled her once, realizing she wasn’t moving, turned back irritably, about to speak.

Only to meet a pair of clear, bright eyes, his brows wrinkling as he listened to the young woman’s calm voice, “Baron Lawrence, I can’t possibly never see your grandfather, so, I have to go.”
