Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1107: Chapter 1107: Baron Lawrence, We’re Going to a Banquet! Chapter 1107: Chapter 1107: Baron Lawrence, We’re Going to a Banquet! Skye Lawrence frowned slightly, “I don’t have such plans in the near future. I want to wait until…”

“Work is never finished, and you’re not getting any younger. It’s about time you consider your personal issues,” the middle-aged man continued undeterred, “I’ve looked into that young man, he has a gentle personality, which complements yours well. His personal abilities are also not bad, with hobbies like sports, golf, and horseback riding, all matching yours. I think you two would get along well. Find some time to meet, it won’t take long, just a meal.”

Skye Lawrence listened quietly until he finished, then pursed her red lips as if thinking, before finally agreeing, “Alright, I’ll see when I’m free. But not until after I’ve visited Grandpa at the old house.”

“That’s fine, you arrange it,” said the middle-aged man, who seemed a bit tired, rubbing his nose bridge, “How about this, I’ll go back to the old house with you tomorrow.”

“Dad, you’re going back?” Skye Lawrence was somewhat surprised.

As far back as she could remember, her father and grandfather’s relationship had been strained, and she didn’t know the specific reasons why, but it wasn’t good.

Under normal circumstances, unless it was a matter of her grandfather’s health, her dad wouldn’t easily set foot in the old house.

The grandfather was even more domineering, never demanding that her dad visit, and even if he did, he was never greeted with a pleasant face.

“Is it because Grandpa isn’t feeling well?” Skye Lawrence’s brows furrowed even more.

Seeing her concern, Nicholas Lawrence revealed, “The Old Master doesn’t have any serious issues, just a bit of a cold recently, according to the housekeeper. I’ll go and see for myself.”

“Let’s settle on that then, I’ll join you tomorrow. After seeing your grandpa, find some time on your own, and I’ll arrange for you to meet the young man.”

Skye Lawrence’s eyebrows knitted together as she forcibly suppressed the discomfort in her eyes, but still agreed, “Okay.”

She was the Lawrence Family’s daughter, the dignified First Young Lady, and she could afford to be not entirely clear-headed once or twice, but not forever.

Perhaps, she really ought to face herself and take control of her own life.

And marriage was the best method.

If the other party’s family background was suitable, if he was capable, and if he could bring benefits to her dad and the Lawrence Family, she could consider giving it a try and start a relationship with him.

…

The next day at noon.

Enna Clark finally managed to soothe both the elder and the younger after a long while and handed the two little ones over to Scott Harris, accompanying Baron Lawrence out.

Today, Baron Lawrence had a reception to attend and needed a female companion to join him.

Enna Clark deliberately wore a somewhat more formal dress, with a blue hem that made her skin look fair and radiant, soothing to the eye, neither lacking in elegance nor too flashy. The dress, like her, had just the right feel to it.

Baron Lawrence, breaking the norm, dressed formally, his silver-gray suit looking sharp and smooth on him. Paired with his handsome face and a pair of long, straight legs, he was like a walking clothes rack, even more handsome than a male model.

“At the reception, stick with me and don’t wander off. Most importantly, if any man talks to you, don’t pay attention to them!”

He couldn’t be more overbearing!

Enna Clark helplessly reminded him, “Baron Lawrence, we are going to a reception!”

She was his female companion, and if someone approached her, it would be to socialize with him; how could she possibly ignore others?
