Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1137: Chapter 1137: He’s Unreasonably Biased Because of Her! Chapter 1137: Chapter 1137: He’s Unreasonably Biased Because of Her! This woman…Baron Lawrence’s eagle eyes were deep and gloomy.

The soft touch on his thin lips still lingered, and he pressed his lips together, giving her a chance to speak.

Enna Clark seized the opportunity and rushed to explain, “You misunderstand, Grandpa called me over because of the incident at the banquet. But you’ve misunderstood his attitude, Grandpa isn’t blaming me for what happened at the banquet, he only made a deal with me.”

“What deal?”

“He gave me a month to find out who set me up and to strike back. If I manage to do it, he will reconsider our matter. But during this month, I cannot rely on your help and must investigate on my own. To prevent you from helping me, I need to move out for a month.” Enna Clark was extremely helpless, “So, the ‘leaving’ we’re talking about are not the same. You got it wrong.”

His concept of ‘leaving’ was about the Old Master’s simple and strong demands for her to leave him.

Her ‘leaving’ was about the Old Master giving her the opportunity to prove herself.

The latter ‘leaving’ was for the purpose of a better future together.

So, from start to finish, it was all his misunderstanding.

“Baron Lawrence, you barged in without getting the facts straight and insisted on taking me away; this really hurt Grandpa’s heart,” she said.

The Old Master had mentioned having Bobby Clark come over to eat Tomato and Egg Noodles together, but with his barging in and causing a scene, the Old Master probably didn’t feel like eating anymore.

Enna Clark now doubted that after such a fuss made by Baron Lawrence, the Old Master would still give her this opportunity. After all, this time Baron Lawrence really went too far.

And, the reason for Baron Lawrence’s excessive actions, in the end, was because of her.

If she were the Old Master, she probably wouldn’t like herself either.

“Anyway, you need to apologize to Grandpa for this matter,” she insisted.

Baron Lawrence never imagined the Old Master Lawrence would say such things to Enna Clark. His handsome face was momentarily startled, then his eyes narrowed, “Did the Old Man really say he would reconsider your situation?”

Why did it not sound like something the Old Man would say?

The Old Man was always one to stick to his word; what could have changed his mind to give Enna Clark a chance?

He always felt that it wasn’t something the Old Man would do.

“Grandpa really did say that, he also mentioned wanting to see Bob, and wanting to have Tomato and Egg Noodles with Bob. But then you burst in and dragged me away without any questions,” she said.

Damn it, if he hadn’t been acting without a clue, it would have been because of her!

Baron Lawrence really wanted to strangle this heartless woman, but when he spoke, it turned into, “I understand now.”

Before Enna Clark could say anything more, he seemed impatient, grabbed her hand, and pulled her to keep walking.

Enna Clark didn’t know if he really understood or was just pretending to, and what ‘understood’ even meant—whether he would apologize to the Old Master or not.

But since Baron Lawrence didn’t want to continue talking about it, she felt it wasn’t right to keep pressing the issue.

Before she knew it, she was pulled back into the room.

Scott Harris was playing toy blocks with Gigi, who had already built a small castle, and in her hand, she held a red triangle block ready to cap the ‘castle’ with a roof. Bobby Clark was sitting on the sofa next to them, watching an iPad. Seeing them return, he calmly put down the iPad and spoke like a little adult, “Back already?”

“Yeah.”

Bobby Clark jumped down from the sofa and suddenly took the initiative, “Woman, I want to take Gigi to visit Grandpa, may I?”
