Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1115: Chapter 1115: Running into Someone who Knows Enna Clark Chapter 1115: Chapter 1115: Running into Someone who Knows Enna Clark Enna Clark had no choice but to insist on finishing her sentence, “How’s your injury feeling?”

She noticed that Lyle Westbrook looked a bit pale, even his lips seemed devoid of color.

Hearing her concern, the man with the angelic appearance curved his lips into a smile that made others pale in comparison, “I’m fine, no need to worry.”

Baron Lawrence clenched Enna Clark’s palm harshly, his hawk-like eyes narrowing to sharp pinpoints!

Worry?

Did Enna Clark say she was worried?

From beginning to end, Enna Clark only asked about his physical condition, which ear of his heard worry in it?

His thin lips were tightly pressed into a straight line, flames swirling within his obsidian-like eyes. He pulled Enna Clark’s hand, subtly shielding her behind him, and stepped forward with a fake smile, “It’s good that you’re fine. We have other matters to attend to, we’ll take our leave first.”

As he spoke, he led Enna Clark towards the direction of the people who had been looking for him earlier.

Enna Clark’s wrist was slightly numb from his pulling, especially disoriented by his sudden change in attitude, “Baron Lawrence, didn’t you just say you didn’t care about them?”

“That was before! You also just said they were probably looking for me. Since someone is looking for me, it’s not nice to ignore them. So I thought about it and decided to pay attention to them! Is that not okay?” He was short of grinding his teeth in frustration.

Enna Clark could obviously tell why he had changed his mind, and she couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the same time.

She didn’t seem to exchange more than a few words with Lyle Westbrook, and what she said were just ordinary greetings. She owed Lyle Westbrook such a big favor; surely she couldn’t just pretend not to know him upon meeting, right? Anyway, her principles wouldn’t allow her to do such a thing.

In the midst of their talk, a middle-aged, portly man with a young, beautiful female companion approached. He greeted them warmly, “Ah, I never expected to encounter Young Master Lawrence here, I’m truly honored.”

His gaze instantly shifted to Enna Clark, “This lady must be Young Master Lawrence’s girlfriend? She really has such poise, standing next to Young Master Lawrence, they completely give off the feeling of a golden boy and a jade girl, so well-matched. Right?”

The beautiful woman by his side chimed in with quick-witted flattery and a covered laugh, “Husband, you’re such a joker. Young Master Lawrence and Ms. Clark naturally look like a golden boy and a jade girl, of course they match well.”

She had a pair of spirited eyes and a dimple when she smiled, radiating innocence as she extended her hand towards Enna Clark, “Ms. Clark, do you remember me? I’m Miko. I had the honor of acting in a film with Ms. Clark before. I was worried about coming to the banquet with my husband today, afraid that I wouldn’t know anyone. But then I ran into Ms. Clark, which is such good luck.”

Enna Clark extended her hand with a smile, neither too intimate nor too distant, “Nice to meet you.”

Miko?

She rapidly searched her memory for that name and indeed remembered someone – before her recent encounter with Baron Lawrence, wasn’t she playing a small extra in a production through Olivia Lewis’ connections, with just a few lines?

It seemed that the female protagonist of that play was her!

Only she didn’t use her English name.

Her Chinese name was Luo Ke’er.

Therefore, Enna Clark didn’t immediately recognize her as the rarely seen female protagonist when she first heard the name Miko.

Miko smiled sweetly, then with her animated eyes, looked at Enna Clark and then at Baron Lawrence, enviously commenting, “I admire Ms. Clark so much, your relationship with Lord Lawrence has always been so good.”
