Alchemy Master

Chapter 54, Neutralising the Poison

Translator: Silavin

Soul Eroding Water was not an incurable poison. However, people in the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty had never even heard of its name. Naturally, they would not know of a way to neutralise it.

But Lin Huarong’s poison had already taken deep root in his body for a long time. Even if they had the antidote, it would be impossible to completely expel the poison.

To remove the poison, only someone with the attainment of at least the Mastery level in Spiritual Energy could do it. (Entry -> Understanding -> Mastery -> Perfection)

In the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty, even the top Alchemy Grandmaster, Gu Ye, had not reached that level. Moreover, even if they could find a Master of that calibre, would they waste their energy on a mere Martial Grandmaster? Besides, the Lin Family could not possibly afford to invite such a person.

It must be said that Lin Huarong was extremely lucky to have encountered a prodigy like Qin Yichen.

At this moment, Qin Yichen’s Spiritual Energy had already entered his main meridian.

[As long as the main meridian is cleared, Lin Huarong will be able to regain consciousness.]

Qin Yichen could clearly see strands of poison, like leeches, sticking to the meridians, devouring the Yuan Energy flowing within.

Under his precise control, the Spiritual Energy acted like a series of forceps, forcibly pulling the poison off the meridian walls. He also isolated them with Spiritual Energy.

He had no choice; Spiritual Energy could only expel the poison, not directly destroy them.

As the poison slowly gathered, Qin Yichen carefully controlled them to move slowly, flowing towards the meridians in Lin Huarong’s arm.

Instantly, Lin Huarong’s entire withered arm completely turned black.

The observing Hei Gui and others could clearly see a black substance moving towards his palm.

Due to the existence of this black mass, Lin Huarong’s entire hand swelled up. Even while in coma, his arm was trembling incessantly, with veins bulging like old tree roots, looking extremely hideous and terrifying.

*Huff… huff…* After just a short while, Qin Yichen was already panting.

The poison was very resistant, causing his Spiritual Energy to be consumed particularly quickly. In just this short span of time, he felt his Spiritual Energy was almost exhausted.

Having just condensed his Divine Soul Bead, his Spiritual Energy was still a bit too weak.

“Get out!” Suddenly, Qin Yichen opened his eyes wide and forcefully slapped Lin Huarong’s blackened palm.

*Puff!* The palm, which had swollen to its limit, burst open at the tip of the middle finger under this great force. A jet of black blood shot out.

*Hiss hiss…* The moment this jet of black blood shot out, a nauseating stench spread, and when it fell on the green floor beside the bed, there was immediately a series of light corrosive sounds.

Hei Gui and the others looked over at the sound and were horrified to find that the hard green stone floor had been directly corroded into a small pit by this black blood!

If even the green stone floor could be corroded like this, how torturous must it have been when this poison was in a Human’s body?

“We actually let the Family Patriarch suffer such torment for over ten years…”

Those four Elders had their entire faces filled with extreme grief. Rather than living in such torment, perhaps death would have been a release.

“You… you can really neutralise the poison?” Aside from being shocked, Hei Gui’s gaze towards Qin Yichen had changed.

He could not remember how many Alchemy Masters he had invited, but no one had ever been able to do this. Even the Alchemy Grandmaster from the Royal City had only briefly tried to clear the poison with Spiritual Energy, but then expressed his inability to do so.

Could it be that this teenager of just over ten years old had a higher attainment in Spiritual Energy than that Royal City Alchemy Grandmaster?

He could not imagine where Lin Aotian, who had been in hiding for so long, had found such an unparalleled prodigy!

As this stream of poisoned blood was expelled, the black spots on Lin Huarong’s arm completely disappeared. If it were not for being too thin, it would have looked like a perfectly normal arm.

This change brought another wave of joy to Hei Gui and the others.

It meant that Qin Yichen’s method was effective!

However, Qin Yichen’s face was somewhat grave at this moment.

Because when his palm touched Lin Huarong, he accidentally came into contact with some of the poisoned blood. This poisoned blood quickly corroded his skin and, like a loach, rapidly burrowed into his meridians.

This poisoned blood, nurtured in the body of a Peak Stage Martial Grandmaster, was naturally not something he could resist.

Just as Qin Yichen was about to mobilise his Spiritual Energy in alarm to deal with this poisoned blood, something unexpected happened.

After entering his meridians, the poisoned blood voraciously devoured the Yuan Energy within. But after a moment, it stopped moving. When Qin Yichen’s Spiritual Energy arrived, the poisoned blood actually self-ignited and turned to ash. It had vanished without a trace.

[What’s going on?] Qin Yichen was completely bewildered. After thoroughly checking again with his Spiritual Energy, he confirmed that the poisoned blood had really completely disappeared. He could not help but mutter, “Could it be that my Yuan Energy can… counter this poisoned blood!?”

To confirm this, Qin Yichen grabbed Lin Huarong’s other arm again. He directly input a stream of Yuan Energy into Lin Huarong’s body.

“What is he doing?”

Hei Gui and the others were completely confused. They were staring intently at Qin Yichen’s actions. Although they did not know what Qin Yichen was trying to do, just the technique of expelling the poison earlier had already conquered any remaining doubts in their hearts.

*Sizzle sizzle…* Sure enough, just as Qin Yichen had expected, as soon as his Yuan Energy entered Lin Huarong’s body and touched the black poison, it was like winter snow meeting summer sunlight. With a series of faint sounds, it actually began to evaporate and melt at a visible speed.

In just a moment, the black spots on Lin Huarong’s palm had completely dissipated.

[It really works!?] Seeing this situation, a flash of joy passed through Qin Yichen’s eyes.

He had not expected his Yuan Energy, of an unknown Attribute, would have such a remarkable effect.

This was not to say that his Yuan Energy was particularly powerful, but rather, the Attribute of his Yuan Energy happened to counter such evil poison.

Qin Yichen knew, in that instant, the Attribute of his Yuan Energy was far more complex than it seemed. Perhaps, there were many more characteristics he had yet to discover.

It was certainly not as dazzling as the Fire Attribute.

It was not as tough as the Earth Attribute.

However, its function, its power, was definitely not inferior to these Attributes!
