Chapter 293: Chapter 293: Who Exactly is the Heretic?

”Ah! Damn it!”

Golden holy light went through the red barrier, hitting Hurad, who was getting ready for a big attack. Surrounded by this holy light, the bandages on its body started to melt like snow in the spring sun, showing the bare skeleton inside.

But even so, Hurad didn’t disappear completely. Its voice was full of anger and resentment. ”Evil god, it’s you followers of the evil god!”

”Shut up, heretic!” From the opening in the barrier above, two knights wearing shiny silver armor and iron helmets slowly floated down. They held long swords with crosses on them, their voices loud and cold. ”You blasphemers will surely die!”

”Oh my god, they’re the Vatican’s Punishment Knights!”

”Why, why are the Punishment Knights here?”

Seeing these two knights appear, the remaining monsters from different areas who hadn’t been killed showed shocked and terrified expressions. Clearly, most of them had direct or indirect contact with these church knights, and they brought them a lot of fear.

”Welcome, esteemed guests.” Unlike the fear of the other monsters, Eric bowed respectfully and said, ”I already prayed today.”

”You did well, but it’s not enough.” The knight with a badge on his chest said, ”These heretics haven’t been completely wiped out.”

The knight looked around, finally stopping on the group of Chinese monsters.

Because Anzen was blocking things, this group looked very peaceful. Except for the sleeping cats and dogs, Lin Jiu, Ren Tingting, and Feng Manxiang all had clean clothes on.

At this time, Eric finally noticed the Chinese monster group, and a mocking smile appeared on his lips. ”Oh. Maybe their presence is too weak, so my children didn’t notice them.”

”Even so, they need to be punished.” The knight without a badge said coldly, raising the long sword with a cross in his hand and swinging it lightly.

Buzz.

Golden light flashed, instantly hitting the group of vampire descendants not far away. Before they could even scream, their bodies turned to dust.

The other vampire descendants trembled in fear, while Eric bowed his head very humbly, saying, ”Of course, it’s right. For the glory of God, we shouldn’t have any mistakes.”

”Bastard!” Seeing this, Hurad was filled with uncontrollable anger and yelled, ”Eric, you damned bastard, you actually betrayed our agreement and joined the evil god’s claws?!”

”No, of course not.” Eric slowly shook his head, his body suddenly turning into black smoke. The black smoke shot towards Hurad’s location like lightning, then turned back into human form.

Crack.

Eric reached out and lifted Hurad, who had become a skeleton, and chuckled, ”I’ve been a follower of God from the beginning.”

”You’re a loser, you’ll never become Ling Han Yan.” Hurad’s voice was full of sarcasm, and its two empty eye sockets looked at Eric as if he was looking at a clown.

Hearing Hurad’s words, Eric’s expression, which had been gentle, changed instantly, and he twisted his face and snapped the Egyptian Pharaoh’s throat bones.

Doujin Artist: Shocking! A young white guy is doing this to an old bone man?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Is this a distortion of human nature or a decline in morality?

Machete Girl: Watch Uncle Nine’s live stream to find out the truth?

Curly-haired Guy: Are you guys reporting the news with headlines, you jerks! It’s easy to make people’s minds wander, hey!

Amegakure Village’s Angel: It’s not good for girls to be too naughty, you’ll get beaten.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Who is that Ling Han Yan? The vampire Count seems very sensitive about this person.

This is an Actor: It’s the idol he wants to be. A great monster from two hundred years ago, Ling Han Yan. He oppressed the entire Western supernatural world so much that they couldn’t raise their heads. He even beat the former Pope.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Wow, that’s amazing!

Lin Fengjiao: I wonder what level this great monster was?

This is an Actor: Probably close to the level of an immortal, but he didn’t take that last step and died.

Lin Fengjiao: What a pity.

This is an Actor: It’s not a pity, this guy wasn’t a good person either. He often turned into a human to mess with girls, and then didn’t take responsibility.

Lin Fengjiao: ...

Doujin Artist: Damn, he’s a scumbag!

This is an Actor: You can’t say he’s a scu, you can only say he’s a cunning. And he clearly had the power to destroy the Western monster forces and even the church groups, but he kept these troublemakers around.

Machete Girl: I don’t understand why he kept them around.

This is an Actor: Because he slept with their saint and fell in love.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Pfft!

Amegakure Village’s Angel: I really didn’t expect this answer!

This is an Actor: Let me tell you another thing, most of these Punishment Knights are his and that saint’s descendants.

Doujin Artist: Holy crap, that’s something!

Curly-haired Guy: Not bad, it has the shadow of a melodramatic love show. If you add some plots of fighting between forces and the two people having to separate and become enemies, and then getting back together because of some factor, it would be even better. I think it might become a blockbuster movie.

Lin Fengjiao: These Punishment Knights are Ling Han Yan’s descendants, which means they also have monster blood?

This is an Actor: That’s right. Especially the captain of the knights, he even has fox ears, but he didn’t come today. The reason why these Punishment Knights are strong is because they marry within their own group. This way they can keep the spirit fox clan’s blood from thinning, and their strength naturally goes beyond what today’s monsters can understand.

Pretty Boy from Skull Island: Doesn’t marrying within the family make you stupid?

Doujin Artist: That’s not for sure, some people say that marrying within the family can produce geniuses. It should all depend on the odds.

Pretty Boy from Skull Island: But my ancestral memories tell me that you can’t marry within the family.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Marrying within the family is one thing, but the point is that these people should be the backbone of the church! It’s really amazing, their saintess hooked up with a so-called heretic and had a bunch of mixed-race kids who became high-ranking members of the church? Who exactly is the heretic here! I feel dirty!
