THE GOD EATER

A Dao Lords’ state of existence has been elevated to such a level that using a Divine Metac would be a waste of resources. This is essentially a manifestation of the gap between a divine being and a Dao Lord.

It is a shame that Divine Metacs have become useless to Dao Lords, but it is also good thing, as it means that even when Dao Lords don’t use their Supreme Metacs, a divine being wouldn’t be able to defeat them.

Even a rank 9 being with a Supreme Metac still wouldn’t be able to defeat a Dao Lord without a Supreme Metac because each divinity of a Dao Lord needs to be squared to become the attribute points of a rank 9 Dao Initiate.

So a Dao Lord with 3 points in their strength, like when he just became a Dao Lord, is actually worth 3^2, or 9 units of strength, for a rank 9 Dao Initiate. Therefore, the free 759 units of divinity are actually worth 759^2, or 576,081 units of strength for a divine being.

’With this difference in the existence of divine beings and Dao Lords, it makes sense why Dao Lords can’t descend to the upper realm. But it also makes me wonder how the people in super worlds will fare when their worlds ascend to the upper realm,’ he thought with a chuckle.

Without a doubt, those mortals with Branch Metacs and divine beings with their Divine Metacs will be at the mercy of Dao Lords. In fact, he wouldn’t be surprised if every mortal died on their first day in the upper realm.

He gave this matter some thought before he returned his attention to the matter of which Supreme Metac should take up his second godhead. When he considered his options, the Hunting Form Supreme Metac and the Transformation Supreme Metac came to mind.

Of course, the Hunting Form Metac isn’t entirely useless to him. He can still use it to create weak wolf manifestations, and he can use the Hunting Form Metac to enhance his physical prowess by adding the 2,623,928 units of celestial power that it can produce to the 6,559,820 units of celestial power that he can produce with his body.

The result will be a total power of 9,183,748 units of celestial power, which is a 40% boost in the power of his Divine Perception, Divine Strength, Divine Speed, and Divine Defense.

But no matter how good a 2-D Metac like the Hunting Form Supreme Metac can be, it can’t be better than what a 3-D Supreme Metac like the Transformation Supreme Metac can accomplish. However, the Transformation Supreme Metac is not without blemish either.

For one, the Transformation Supreme Metac that can help him enhance his Divine Perception, Divine Strength, Divine Speed, and Divine Defense with his Divine Spirit isn’t built yet.

It isn’t in his possession yet, but he is sure that he could build it because it existed; he had seen it in a Gemini, already had the rules to build it, and also possessed a base template in the form of the Hunting Form Metac to construct it.

The reasons he hasn’t built this kind of Transformation Supreme Metac are that he is busy doing other things, like helping his disciples to become as powerful as divine beings; the Transformation Supreme Metac won’t help him to activate the 23rd cube in the 4-D prototype; and because it is a Grand Dao, not a Cosmic Dao.

With his 42 Supreme Metacs, of which 7 are Cosmic Daos, 12 are Grand Daos, 21 are Major Daos, and 2 are Minor Daos, he has a total of 774 commonality. He needs 828 commonality to activate the 23rd cube, so he needs 54 more commonality.

The Transformation Supreme Metac is a Grand Dao, so it can only provide 21 units of commonality, which is clearly not enough for the next activation. If it were enough to activate the 23rd cube, he would drop what he was doing currently to make it.

Since it wouldn’t increase his power immediately, he decided to make it later, especially since he might be able to acquire it from the Gemini through the Olympic Court exchange system. So he put it on the back burner.

Aside from that, the Transformation Supreme Metac was also a Grand Dao, which is less useful than a Cosmic Dao. A Cosmic Dao can produce 27 units of divinity and provide a total volume of 9^3, or 729 units, which affects the amount of power he can produce with the Supreme Metac and how many Divine Metacs it can hold.

If the Transformation Supreme Metac were a Cosmic Dao, it would produce Cultivation Rank(10) × Divine Spirit(2 + 759) × Divine Ability(9^3 × 5%) × Domain(43.1 billion sq km) × 20(Authority), which was 239,105,439 units of celestial power, instead of 112,500,913 units.

That’s 2.12 times the power difference. So in every way, be it quantity or quality, a Grand Dao is outclassed by a Cosmic Dao.

The only reason he was considering the Transformation Supreme Metac is that it can make the free divinity from the Spark of Power worth four times as much. Since the potential of the 4-D Supreme Metac is limitless, then the usefulness of the Transformation Supreme Metac could be limitless.

’But it would be a shame not to use a Cosmic Dao for all ten of my godheads. I heard that only Mountain Lords can do that. So if I don’t use that privilege, I might be wasting the title of Mountain Lord,’ he thought with a heart full of reluctance.

He saw in a Gemini’s mind that only Mountain Lords can have more than one Cosmic Dao. So using a Grand Dao when he could use a Cosmic Dao felt like a letdown.

There was also the fact that there were other powerful and interesting Cosmic Supreme Metacs like the Time Rewind Supreme Metac, the Freedom Supreme Metac, the Luck Supreme Metac, the Knowledge Supreme Metac, the Death Supreme Metac, and so on.
