THE GOD EATER

Along the way, it met many people going from tribe to tribe, town to town, and city to city, recruiting people into a sect called the Olympic Sect. And these people seemed as zealous, if not more zealous, than it.

When it met them and saw how passionate they were about their mission, it asked, ”Why are you so happy to cross vast distances to recruit more people?”

Their reply was always like this: ”For every person that we recruit, we gain one year of lifespan. Who wouldn’t be happy to do this kind of work?”

The existence of these people made it so angry that it wanted to kill them. But then it remembered that it was supposed to be undercover to avoid alerting the divine beings of this world, so it held back.

Instead of lashing out, it sent a message to the Apex God to report the encounter. This time, the Apex God was angry.

Far off in the upper realm of the Sea of Worlds, the Apex God was saying in anger, ”Why are they behaving like this? Didn’t we already have a rule that we agreed on?”

”We agreed to limit the boost to 100%. But not only did they break that agreement, but they are also using lifespan to make people recruit for them. This is cheating.”

”It is cheating, and it can’t be allowed to stand. They must be punished for this,” he said with solemn determination.

Then he said to the unicorn, ”What is the name of this sect anyway?”

The unicorn replied, ”My lord, it is the Olympic Sect.”

”Huh? Haven’t I heard that name before?” he said to himself.

As he thought about that name, a grand golden mountain appeared in his mind. The image was so vivid that he could also see the facial expression of the figure standing at the top of the golden mountain, spreading their arms, and making an announcement.

”Could it be that the native is responsible for this Olympic Sect?” he asked in disbelief.

Then he shook his head and said, ”No. It can’t be.”

”It has to be a coincidence. One of my siblings has to be using that name. At most, the owner of the Olympic Sect is a member of the Olympic Divine Court.”

”Anyway, I’ll know more when I investigate,” he said as he took up his computer.

The computer was a sphere etched with runes. When he touched it with his Divine Spirit, images and information appeared directly in his mind.

He used his mind to navigate to the search engine and searched for information about the Olympic Sect in the Sea of Worlds, which is Domain 135.012.468 to be exact.

He had to enter the exact coordinates of this Domain into the search engine to get accurate results because the Sea of Worlds name wasn’t unique.

Many Domains in the Sea of Worlds called themselves the Sea of Worlds. In most cases, this was no coincidence.

Domains should have a lower realm: a sea with worlds floating in it and golden mountains rising from the sea. At least that’s how healthy Domains should appear.

This Sea of Worlds isn’t healthy because it lacks spiritual energy. If it had spiritual energy, the space between worlds wouldn’t be empty; it would be full of liquid energy that constantly births worlds.

Supposedly, this Domain used to have a sea in its lower realm. The ancient cultivators looked at this sea, with many worlds floating in it, and called it the Sea of Worlds Domain, believing their Domain was unique in that respect.

When he thought about this, he sniggered and said, ”Some of them even believe that their Domain is all of existence. What rubes.”

”And there are those who call their Domain the Mountain and Sea realm. That’s how you know you know that they have never seen another Domain.”

He was cackling and chuckling the more he thought about ignorant natives. But when he found the information he was looking for, he could no longer bear to laugh.

”What? No way!” he said in disbelief.

Then his disbelief gave way when he read a piece of information that said, ”I confirmed it by asking him. He said that it is none of my business how he got the Root of Life Metac.”

”It can’t be,” he said indignantly.

”How did this native get his hand on our special artifact? I must tell the caretakers.”

He immediately got to work typing out a strongly worded message. He was furious and felt insulted by the fact that someone who wasn’t a member of the Gemini race was using something that only Geminis should be able to use.

As he wrote that message, he didn’t hesitate to express his anger. He wrote with his Divine Spirit, so his voice, emotions, and indignation could be transmitted accurately, helping him convey his intent completely.

If it had been a Gemini behind the Olympic Sect, he would still be angry. But he would be angry about something else, and the people he would be sending messages to now would be other Geminis. He would tell them to pressure the rule-breaker and force him to play nicely.

This wouldn’t be the first time someone complained to the caretakers that someone was breaking the rules they had agreed to, and it wasn’t the first time someone complained about the Olympic Sect’s plagiarism. So the caretakers already had something prepared to tell him.

They told him the same thing they told everyone who complained about unfairness. They said, ”This is the nature of the world. It is survival of the fittest.”

”Prove that you’re worthy of survival. Compete and win to prove you’re fit. This Ragnarok fellow isn’t cheating. He is only using your tool better than you.”

”If you must, think of him as another Gemini. He will become a Gemini anyway if he doesn’t die. So compete with him like you would your siblings. And if you can’t do that, prepare to be defeated by someone you deem lesser.”
