THE GOD EATER

After he was done bragging, Tepid Scholar said, ”I swear on my Dao that I will make a transmission of my power and let you escape if you give me the Forging Supreme Metac and Death Supreme Metac. How about that for sincerity?”

When Loki didn’t say anything, the image in his mind frowned and said, ”What do you think about my offer? I will advise you to be quick about it and not think about escaping with your Time Pathway.”

Loki was not actually thinking about escaping. He was thinking about holding out in the fight for a few minutes more. As for what he was waiting for, only he knew it.

However, the secrecy of his intentions didn’t stop Tepid Scholar from guessing and advising the will of the world about what to do to prevent him from escaping.

After hearing his suggestion, the will of the world said to him, ”Good idea.”

Then the phantom dragon activated a Divine Domain and said, ”Heaven and Earth Domain.”

As soon as the Heaven and Earth Domain Divine Metac was activated, an invisible force surged through the entire Sea of Worlds.

Because of that invisible force, the whole world froze. Everything in the world, including the air and Loki, stopped moving in that moment. Then the world resumed as if nothing had happened.

At this point, Loki had stopped rushing up into the sky. He was now looking around him warily.

For some reason, the whole world had become alien to him. The world felt dirty and full of germs to him. And the germs were trying to enter his body to infect him.

The freezing was so brief that if not for the fact that he was frozen together with the world, he knew that it had happened. He also knew with utter certainty that the invisible force was what had turned the whole world against him.

Just as he was thinking about what to do next, the phantom dragon said, ”Any means of time traveling is banned here.”

It spoke words, but the words were impacts of power disguised as sound waves. Wherever the spoken words passed through, the rules of the world changed.

As it happened, the words reached every corner of the Blessed Heaven World. Since he was also in the Blessed Heaven World, there was no way for him to avoid them.

Even before he could understand what the will of the world just said, those words struck him head-on. Then they imprinted themselves within him.

Because the words moved through the world with a power of 9(Cultivation Rank) × (9(Body) + 9(Mind) + 9(Will) + 9(Soul) + 9(Insight)) × (49(Supreme Metac) × 9(Divine Metac)) × 60,510 million(Domain) × 11(Authority), which was 118,881,274,050 units of divine power, they broke through the defense of his external body, entered his body, and changed the rules in his Cave Heaven.

So not only were the rules of the world changed, even his cognition and thoughts were being modified to acknowledge the rule that had just been set. Because of this, his perception of the two anchors he had set in the River of Time became faint.

The two anchors became faint until they disappeared completely. He didn’t know if this was because the power of the rules had erased them from the River of Time or whether the rules had only erased their existence from his mind, but he was already becoming anxious.

For the first time in a long time, a hint of fear appeared within his heart. This unwanted emotion became stronger and bigger when he realized that he had forgotten how to use the Rewind Metac.

As if sensing his fear, the phantom dragon smiled and said to him, ”What do you think about my offer now?”

Before he could answer, the phantom said, ”Take note that I intend to take every other Supreme Metac that you’ve recently acquired from you. I will use some of them for myself, and I’ll give some of them to the people I like. You have no choice in this.”

Regarding the people the will of the world liked, Loki had only a guess about the identity of those so-called people. And to be honest, he was impressed with how the tables had turned.

Looking around him and the quagmire that he found himself in, he said, ”This is impressive. It would seem that you get to have the last laugh.”

In response, the phantom dragon chuckled and said, ”It would seem so. Now, let’s get back to my offer. What do you think about my offer now? Or are you still hell-bent on dying?”

Up above in the sky, Martial Will was cheering on the will of the world, saying, ”Go on. Beat him for me. Let him taste how unfair it is. Beat him black and blue.”

Tepid Scholar saw this and shook his head as he said, ”Black Chain’s last card is truly insidious.”

Hearing this, Heavenly Eye nodded and said, ”No wonder he ran away. If he had stayed to watch, his plan might have backfired.”

Tepid Scholar, nodding his head in agreement, said, ”It might not have backfired, but it will definitely not have worked. At least, it wouldn’t have worked like this.”

After Sword Maestro heard their words, he seemed to be enlightened. His eyes lit up in understanding, and he said, ”So that’s how it is. I was wondering when the curse would show up.”

He was enlightened, but Martial Will was confused by what they were saying. The Dao Lord of the Martial Body Sect looked at them in confusion and said in anger, ”What nonsense are you talking about now?”

Actually, he wasn’t the only one who was confused. The three newcomers were also confused by what Tepid Scholar and Heavenly Eye were saying.

The three of them just didn’t think they had the right to ask. Especially since Heavenly Eye could lie to them and deceive them. It would seem that Martial Will wasn’t worried about that.
