THE GOD EATER

Once he expels the Four Directions Sect from the Blessed Heaven World, he will be able to control even more of the power of the super world. He will be able to control exactly 4/9 × 60,200 million square kilometers, which is 26,755 million square kilometers.

Just thinking about the things he could do with this kind of power made Tepid Scholar’s heart pound in excitement. He longed to be powerful and to be in control of the Sea of World. Anytime he pictured himself being in control, he felt that everything was right with the world.

Unfortunately, as soon as his excitement rose, it was pulled down and drowned by the risk to the Blessed Heaven World. As the most important world in the Sea of Worlds, if it is damaged, then it will not be easy to find a replacement.

In fact, it is safe to say that if the Blessed Heaven World is destroyed, which is something that will happen if it fails the process of ascension, it is nearly impossible to find a replacement in the Sea of Worlds.

So even though he didn’t want to, he thought to himself, ’If I get all of that power and can’t use it because I too have reached the limit of Entropy, won’t I become a joke? Therefore, the right thing to do is to secure the Divine Spark first.’

’It is just that if we help the Blessed Heaven World to ascend while Black Chains is still here, he too will benefit from it and will be able to use it to pay his debt of Entropy. So he will become more difficult to deal with.’

While he was thinking and wrangling with himself mentally for an option that would let him eat his cake and have it, he heard a somewhat incredulous thought from down below in the Blessed Heaven World.

He heard the dragon think, ”Now is as good a time as any. So let’s end it. Timeloop!’

When he heard this, his thoughts disappeared with a snap, and he turned down to look at the dragon. His eyes instantly focused like a laser onto the dragon. But when he looked down, the dragon wasn’t there.

What he saw was an empty shell of the dragon and the divine crystal. The shell of the dragon looked like the dragon, but as a Dao Lord, this mere appearance wasn’t enough to fool him.

The shell had no consciousness and wasn’t thinking anything. Its mind was utterly bereft of thought. Plus, he could see right through the shell of the dragon as if the shell actually wasn’t there and was a holographic illusion.

His voice was anxious as he said, ”What just happened? Was he telling someone to activate a Time Loop, or was he activating a Time Loop?”

”I must know what he is up to. I have to see what he is thinking. Where is he?”

He couldn’t spot the true body of the dragon, but he didn’t give up. His eyes were like two searchlights roaming the surface of the world looking for the dragon.

He wasn’t the only one doing this. Every other Dao Lord at the scene was also looking down for the dragon. But no one could see the true dragon.

While they were looking for the dragon, Tepid Scholar felt something become lighter in his body. This made him turn his gaze anxiously inwards into his existence.

When he looked inwards, he saw the source of the problem was the Forging Supreme Metac. His gaze focused on the ball of pieces of entwined metal and saw that the ball was becoming lighter and less dense.

As he watched, the ball of metal became transparent. His gaze could pass through it as if it were glass.

His anxiety shot through the roof, and he rushed to grab the Forging Supreme Metac to see what was wrong with it. He examined it from its beginning to its end. Then he repeated the inspection when he didn’t see the problem.

As bad as this was, the situation quickly became worse. While he was examining it, the Forging Supreme Metac became intangible. The hands he was using to hold it passed through the Forging Supreme Metac as if it were a mirage.

His precious Forging Supreme Metac was so close to him, yet it was so far away. It made his heart ache in no small amount. Unfortunately for his poor heart, there was more pain to come.

As his hands tried to grab something that wasn’t there, the Forging Pathway became completely invisible. He couldn’t tell if it had truly become invisible, but at the very least, he couldn’t see it.

So now, he couldn’t see the Forging Supreme Metac, and he couldn’t touch it. He couldn’t even tell if it still existed.

His voice was full of anger as he said, ”This must be a trick. It must be Black Chains.”

His eyes flared up in tandem with his anger, and he said, ”I should have known that he wouldn’t give up his pathway so easily. He must have used a trick to deceive me. It was so that I would give up on the fight. What a scheme!”

With the loss of the Forging Pathway, all of his hopes and dreams for the domination of the Blessed Heaven World have evaporated into the air. All that was left of them were the memories of the hopes and dreams.

But those memories have become a mockery of the height of his folly. Just thinking about them made his anger rise by a few points.

He immediately roared to Black Chains, ”How did you do it?”

His loud voice shook the heavens and the earth. It startled a lot of creatures, who began to run about in panic and fear.

As it turned out, his angry question also startled Black Chains. The Dao Lord of the Four Directions Sect asked in confusion, ”What’s with the shouting? How did I do what?”
