THE GOD EATER

A few seconds later, the barrier between the first and third dimensions was torn apart. Then his figure jumped out through the tear into the first dimension.

He was so fast that the air was torn apart as his body cut through it. Sonic booms exploded behind him again and again like the beatings of a drum.

The sonic booms were so loud that those in the heavens heard them. If any divine being didn’t know that he was in the first dimension of the Blessed Heaven World, the sonic booms surely knew about his presence by now.

The attention of a lot of people was drawn to him. They stopped whatever they were doing to see what the dragon was up to. Many divine beings even appeared in the first dimension so that they could see what was about to happen up close.

Under everyone’s attentive gaze, Loki came to a stop above a forest. Then he raised his hand and formed a blade in his hand.

The blade was invisible and couldn’t be seen with the eyes. The blade was also intangible and couldn’t be touched. But the blade was surely there because it caused space to vibrate precariously around his hand.

After he finished making the blade, he thrust his hand downward towards the forest below him. There was another sonic boom, but from his hands.

Space expanded like an inflated balloon. Then it exploded, taking the invisible blade along with it.

The invisible blade was projected away from his hands down into the ground. Wherever the blade passed through, space rippled as if a large invisible whale was moving just beneath the surface of space.

The large invisible blade fell down with the might of a meteor, but when it struck the ground, it was as silent as a mouse. The invisible blade struck the forest as if it were the wind. But it was a weak wind that couldn’t even move the leaves on the branches of sticks.

However, everywhere the wind passed through, green leaves turned yellow, became brown, and fell to the ground dead. The trees also turned from green to brown. Young succulent green shoots turned to hard brown bark and died suddenly.

Because of the invisible wind, the whole forest underwent a tragic transformation. The color green in the forest disappeared completely and was replaced by the color brown or black. Then the trees fell over as black termite-eaten stumps.

In just a few seconds, the trees had become hollow and fragile. So as they fell to the ground, they broke apart into brown dust.

In just a few seconds, the forest had disappeared. Only the soil beneath the forest was still standing. But even the soil was undergoing its own transformation.

Over time, the grains of sand in the forest became smaller and smaller in size. Some of them shattered into pieces, while some of the pieces shattered into dust. It was as if something was grinding the sand to dust.

Because the sand had become dust, the air pockets in the said area were filled up. With the air pockets leaving, the level of the soil began to fall.

The forest disappeared, and the soil beneath the forest began to sink. Then the whole area fell through as a big hole suddenly appeared in the ground.

Apparently, the thing that had been affecting the forest had also been affecting the underground caves beneath the forest. The caves collapsed, thereby causing the whole forest to sink.

Many divine beings couldn’t tell what was going on. The best of them could only determine that the forest seemed to have aged rapidly in a few seconds.

But the Dao Lords, who were watching the dragon through the divine constellation, knew what this meant, and they were shaken. In fact, right from when the invisible blade was formed, they were already suspecting the dragon. So when they saw what happened to the forest, they couldn’t hold back anymore.

The sky was torn asunder to create rifts that were kilometers long. The sky was torn in five different places, so five rifts were created. Five pairs of eyes also appeared from those rifts.

From one of the rifts, a black chain appeared. The black chain fell through the rift directly onto the head of the dragon. But before the black chain could reach the dragon, an invisible ball struck it.

The invisible ball suddenly appeared at an area that was 2,117 kilometers away from the dragon. When the invisible ball struck the black chains, it exploded and splashed the surrounding area with a sticky force.

The force field was so sticky that everything that touched it became unable to move. The air froze, and even the black chains became still as if caught in amber.

Black Chain’s eyes lit up with work excitement when he said this. He said excitedly, ”Do my eyes deceive me? Is that the Blade of Time and the Time Stasis?”

”And they say Golden Sun is the lucky one. It seems I will get to finish what I started a long time ago.”

Then he said to the other Dao Lords, ”My comrades, leave him to me. I will vanquish him for us and for the peace of the Blessed Heaven World.”

As he spoke, the stars representing the Death Supreme Metac in the divine constellation began to glow. It expanded in size, and its brightness grew in intensity until it rivaled a true star.

The Death Supreme Metac was a black star, but it was still able to produce a black light. Its light was just eerie. It covered everything it touched with a layer of darkness and made them look like shadows.

After it reached its maximum size, a large ball of fire detached from the divine constellation and broke the boundary of the third dimension to enter the first dimension, leaving behind an empty phantom in its place at the center of its section of the divine constellation.
