THE GOD EATER

In general, mortals can’t leave the Blessed Heaven World. Only divine beings have the power to cross the boundary of the world and leave it. But he can’t become a divine being in this world because of his enemies and needs to leave to become a divine being somewhere else.

This is just one of the numerous problems he has to face. So the problems he has to overcome just to become a divine being again aren’t easy.

But he still wasn’t willing to give up. So after assessing his situation, he made some plans. Then he set about to execute those plans.

As for the Rein Family and Loki, he didn’t bother with them. After all, he had more important matters to deal with, and he didn’t need the help of a failed reincarnation of a mortal for anything.

If he needed the help of a mortal for anything, he would employ the best that mortals could offer. So he would only look for those at the peak of rank 5.

But he did say to himself, “That reincarnation is special, though. He was able to awaken a rank 4 cultivation right from the start. He must have been quite the character in his past life.”

After thinking about Loki for a while, he said, “If he can return to rank 5, I might use him. But for now, he is still too weak to be of use.”

Then he forgot about Loki.

This situation allowed Loki to experience peace and quiet where he was hiding. Since Skarg wasn’t around to curse him, he didn’t have anything to fear from curses anymore.

Besides, he wasn’t afraid of the curse in the first place. His armor can now defend against curses, so he wasn’t worried about the curse in the first place.

The only thing that he could be worried about was Skarg finding him, but he also had a plan to deal with that. But since he didn’t have to use his plan, he was able to refine his body in peace.

He enjoyed this peace for one month, which he used to completely refine his body to rank 5. After he was done, he began to admire his work.

His body is whitish gray in color. His skin possesses the sheen of polished metal, but his body is still flexible, and his skin still possesses the sense of touch and pain.

The sight of his powerful body made him nod in satisfaction and say, “It was faster than expected, but it looks like the quality hasn’t diminished at all. In fact, my body looks better than ever. Truly worthy of a rank 5 body.”

Then he used the Power Identification Ability to admire the complete state of his existence.

He has made a lot of progress in the one month since he awakened. His body has reached rank 5 with the aid of the rank 5 Tungsten Body Metac, and his mind has also reached rank 5.

His mind can now advance beyond his rank thanks to the creation of the Mind Palace, which broke the limitation on the power of his mind. Now, only the power of his soul is still shackled to his rank, but that will be solved when he advances to rank 5.

Aside from these two, the main changes to him are in the assortment of his Branch Metacs. He was able to order the Metacs that he needed, so his library of Metacs has expanded.

He got a lot of Metacs, but the Branch Metacs for the Forging Pathway haven’t changed much. Only the Branch Metacs for the Mind Hunter Pathway have changed a lot.

In fact, if not for the addition of the Lightning Engine Metac and the Tungsten Body Metac, he would be using the same group of Branch Metacs for the Forging Pathway that he has been using since rank 3.

So it is the Mind Hunter Pathway that has the most significant changes. This is, of course, because he purchased a wide range of Branch Metacs for it that are not just for attacking people.

Most of the Branch Metacs that he purchased are aimed at collecting information from people who have the information he needs but are not willing to share with him. So he didn’t get them just to target Amelia.

The Branch Metacs of the Dual Cultivation Pathway were not acquired solely to deal with Amelia either. He is just preparing more tools to deal with various kinds of people who are hell-bent on keeping secrets from him.

After looking through his repertoire of Metacs, he said, “It is a pity that the Branch Metacs are no higher than rank 3. Makes me wonder why Slav awakened the Metacs of those three extinct pathways.”

The Dual Cultivation Pathway is not extinct. It is just stunted. So there are many cultivators of this pathway, and Branch Metacs for it are available, but the cultivators and Branch Metacs don’t go beyond rank 3.

This is because the secret recipes for refining rank 4 and rank 5 Metacs, both Core Metacs and Branch Metacs, have been lost and forgotten.
