THE GOD EATER

His voice was full of confidence as he said, “With the Space Blink Metac and my rank 5 cultivation, I will be able to reincarnate without any issues in my last life.”

“So even if I fail and die in this life, I can always have another chance in my next life. At that time, I won’t have any more injuries, so I will have time to immediately kill my father after I awaken.”

Then he sneered as he said, “With this insurance, I can go all out in this life with peace of mind. Let me see if these people are willing to go all out and lose their divine posts for a Divine Metac.”

After saying this, his figure disappeared completely. All that was left behind was the echoing laughter of confidence from Slav and the corpse of Damon bleeding out on the ground.

Neither of these things remained for long, though. The sound of the laughter disappeared soon after Slav was gone. Even the echoes of his laughter were also quick to disappear.

As for Damon’s corpse, it was quickly ravaged by the wild animals that were attracted by the scent of his blood. His corpse lasted longer than the echoing laughter, but it only remained intact for less than 6 hours and disappeared completely in less than a day.

On the other side, Skarg went on a mission to find the person who murdered his children. His mission is one of revenge, but also power.

If he can get power from Loki, he won’t try to get revenge. But if he can’t get power, he is willing to settle for revenge. So, as angry as he was, he was still logical enough to prioritize benefits.

He didn’t walk to the location that the tracker was indicating. He took an airship, so the trip was fast. More luck also shone on him, so he found the world barrier and the city that leads to Earthly Battlefield E6-137.

However, this was where things had become tricky. He couldn’t continue his tracking mission because he couldn’t pass through the world barrier.

Only those who had authorization from the sect could use the train to pass through the world barrier. Anyone else who wants to pass through the world barrier has to be powerful enough and have a lot of lifespan to spare for the trip.

He wanted to get Loki at costs, but that didn’t include the cost of giving up his lifespan, so he decided to do something less dangerous. Instead of going himself, he decided to send someone to track Loki for him.

He made a contract with one of the soldiers going to Earthly Battlefield E6-137 to help him find Loki. He gave them the tracker so that they could find Loki, and he also gave them a message to send to Loki for him if they find him.

But this plan failed because the energy of the tracker was drained when they entered the tunnel in the world barrier. The energy drain snuffed out the candle in the skull and rendered the tracker useless. This was the third obstacle.

The messenger had to return to report the bad news to Skarg. Skarg was angry, but he didn’t make an outburst because he could only blame the world barrier.

Besides, he could always make another tracker. So he got his communication talisman and used it to reach out to Damon.

Unfortunately, no amount of calling was able to get him in touch with Damon. This was the third obstacle.

This time, Skarg became very angry. He was angry enough for an outburst, and he cursed several times, saying, “That weakling of a man. He definitely ran away scared. What can he achieve if he is this scared of death?”

After cursing again and again, he sent one of his subordinates to go back and find Damon for him. As for himself, he stayed back at the world barrier to figure out his next steps.

After thinking about the situation several times, he said to himself, “Fortunately, I know who I am looking for. It is just that everyone will know who I am looking for if I start asking around for him.”

He didn’t let the possibility of trouble stop him, though. As long as he can get in touch with Loki, he is sure that he can convince Loki to help him.

His hopes lie in giving up the inheritance of the divine being that he knows about. He doesn’t believe that Loki will not be tempted by the inheritance of a divine being.

He is willing to give up an opportunity to advance to rank 6 so that he can advance to rank 5. But he has to find Loki first.

The problem now is that he has lost the tracker. The solution is that he knows who to look for, so all he has to do now is send people into Earthly Battlefield E6-137 to look for Loki.

By doing this, all of the people who have been looking for the full reincarnation of the rank 5 being also found out that the person they are looking for is called Loki.

They didn’t know what Loki looked like, but since Skarg seemed to know that piece of information, they didn’t worry too much. As long as they stuck close to Skarg, they were sure that they too would know who Loki was.

This was a nuisance, not an obstacle. Skarg didn’t want to share his prize with others, but there was nothing he could do about it. Besides, he was sure that he would be the final winner. The next obstacle didn’t come until a year later.

After one year of searching, no one had found Loki. It seemed Skarg’s luck had run out because no one had seen him in Earthly Battlefield E6-137 at all.

Skarg had told the people he sent to look for a swordsman in battle that looked like the Loki he knew. But no one had seen any swordsman participate in any battle. So it was as if Loki wasn’t there at all.
